As for you, Chaz and Wer got skipped, Xander and Victor probably aren't playing, you can probably get on the train. If not, you can follow in its wake via dorfing.

I'm not familiar with dropbox so, sorry if you can't get the save off this. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1khgvqhmmbr0n0k/AAAm0A44V2CuMcE2Z6X78xDUa?dl=0 EDIT:Fixed link so you can get the save instead of the save's contents.

((Year 3! No major issues, no hostiles besides a werewolf that got killed within 5 seconds, iron gets used up as fast as it gets made somehow, pump stack has a loooooong way to go, and I'll let you figure out the rest.)) ((And I completely deserve that platinum, 100%, it's easier to chuck out stuff made of platinum then it is to get special singular items out of iron anyway.)) ((So what do I do with the save?))

Welp. I don't really have a save though.

Brayce's Head of Staff Application
Fire and Glory replied to Brayce's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Judging from how the post is written, I'd say you did it on notepad or some variant, if you could take a few minutes to straighten it out some bits that slipped through mostly on the lower half so that it's not a pain in the neck to read, that'd be grand. As for the Application itself, as Brayce has said in his only other post on the forum, he doesn't ever post, and this pretty much reflects him as a player, he keeps his head down out of OOC and generally avoids it unless he actually has something to say, and just plays the game, and from what I see he's pretty cool headed as a result, or maybe he's fuming all day and he just keeps it off the keyboard, who knows? In-game, Oliver Roadman is one of the engineers that I trust can do something effectively, and as an engineer I'll typically defer to him because he knows atmospherics a lot better then me because he's capable of keeping the big picture in mind and not completely botching something like me. I'd like to see Oliver as a CE sometime in the future but in the meantime I think Brayce can handle a Head whitelist well. You could make an utterly terrible call and get banned, and no one likes you enough to accept your appeal. Good luck . -
OneWingedMajora's Head Application

Majora OOCly is pretty cool headed and Alexander appears to be pretty solid, I'm sure he'll do well as a head. Could always strip his whitelist after he botches it. -
So.....wait. If someone wants to hunker down in Science with guns, and doesn't have a weapons recharger, why not just go with the tried and true method of making more guns? If Science gets a shipment of materials from Mining, then most likely they can churn out a lot of weapons. I can carry over 4 Rapid Fire Lasers in my backpack Colonial Marines style, and if you want to use Laser Cannons instead for some reason, just make a Bluespace Backpack. Science will ALWAYS be capable of being an absolute fortress, by virtue of being able to make things that no one can get anywhere else. And if the Science Militia wants to form, they can just steal the Security Checkpoint charger before their declaration of independence. Plus, there's the whole "If someone is going to be an asshole, it doesn't matter what you put in or take away, they're still going to be an asshole, just in a different way."

They are not joking you can apply and get whitelists now. Heh, everyone goes on about how the Vaurca will never be finished and also how they SHOULD be finished. ...And then they get finished with so little fanfare that half the community has doubts until a staff member officially says something.

Hypnotoad's Head Application
Fire and Glory replied to Hypnotoad's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
*Ahem* I'll just point out some things. Self inserts are generally frowned upon for being a tad more sensitive, how would you feel if an antagonist had a short word with you about why you worked for NanoTrasen and then blew your head off with a revolver? Or if your character was fired for incompetence? It does say a paragraph each and I believe these are a bit short, can you expand a bit? -
Also he had a nickname in his name.

It kinda looks like a penis. So were the Traditionalists just bad shots or did the Hegemony have nukes too?

Uh. I dunno. I've bounced to level 1 with Sims, level 2 with Fallout and Just Cause, and a little bit of Battlefield, I played Jagged Alliance 2, C&C, a ton of Medieval Total War II, Monster Hunter, KSP, then I played FTL, SS13, and then I played Cataclysm:DDA, Caves 'o Qud, and played Dwarf Fortress without tiles/the proper way, so.... Decide for yourself.

Hrgmph, I thought it was actually real for the first five posts before I finally checked the date. I hate ye.

Yes, this is a thing, and everyone but you knew about it. Maybe, I'm just making assumptions.

Seems cool. By the time my turn comes around and if my avatar is still alive, I might make a glorious tower for myself with fine goods if there are too many idlers milling about. After all, it's my job to make sure you all go down in the history books on a positive note and I should be well compensated. Anyway, I'm hyped, and can't wait to take a good look at the glorious mess that is Jackelexecution by the time year 4 comes around.

We have seven (maybe) overseers! Name all the dorfs after us! It'll be especially hilarious when one of them dies. Though because my name is too long, the dorfy translation is Ziril Anil.

The 'stylish' clothes should probably be made compatible with wizardry spells, being resprited robes instead of just getting the normal clothes spawned.

Which is particularly !!FUN!! when you have to deal with the previous person's problems and figure out what deranged projects he was doing.
-
It'd be even more fun if the bugged person realizes that they're bugged and do casual conversation like in ye 'olde movies, and then switch it off and do the serious conversation. I support this being implemented in some manner.

Add a rule to the Suggestions & Ideas board: no "remove X"
Fire and Glory replied to Killerhurtz's topic in Archive
Seeing how it's already coder policy to not remove anything without putting something in to replace it, this'd probably be for the best. -
No. Get fucked. On a sidenote, the new patch just came out. Not sure if we should try it instead, but there is always that issue of lag. I swear to god, the game always goes super slow during the first few years. Whether we're using the old version (the one that has been around for years) or the new version (with bigger trees, 'it was inevitable', climbing, etc) would affect whether or not I'll participate, I have yet to motivate myself to get used to the new version.

What exactly is the order of succession at the moment?

11/29/2015 - Player Complaint: Halorocks22
Fire and Glory replied to Kazkin's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Although I definitely respect that, I'd actually like for everyone to get in on this if possible so that I could hear everybody's opinions. Alrighty, opinion. Tpr Samson here, (or whatever the name was.) although I don't particularly like Halo since I don't think endless shitposting is particularly healthy for a forum, I believe he acted entirely reasonably here, I AM THE LAW quotes and such aside, during my stint as ERT my image of the HoS wasn't particularly favorable, though this was only because of what I got reported to me and getting choice cuts pointed out to me from the transcript, had I read the entire transcript, I would've viewed him as entirely within his power, Halorocks said before hand in the thread that he intended to release our wizard under guard, so it's not the 'permanent lockdown' that everyone was making it out to be, if the wizard cooperated I'm sure it would've been released soon enough. Now, here we have our mysterious stranger reportedly appearing on at least a semi-secure station with 'powers' that, while are certainly possible, are fairly unstable and not possible to use without something appearing on the exterior (we have bluespace teleporters, we have EMPs easily, and we have stun tech, though all of which are exterior devices which you can see.) And then, this person carrying serious high tech with the capability of going anywhere, EMPing equipment, and halting pursuit, reportedly got lost going to a party, seriously, no one in their right mind should believe that, it'd be mighty difficult to 'accidentally' end up on a secure research station, and assuming ulterior motives was the reasonable course of action. If I was in an important high-level job where I'm charged with keeping a research station secure, and I have to interrogate an intruder with extensive capabilities, and this intruder comes up with unbelievable trash for an explanation as to why he's there, while I have two people behind me calling me an idiot and second guessing me and saying that I was handling it wrong even though one of them was a cadet, and the other was an IAA who was out of his bounds, I'd go a little bit nuts too. Who knows, maybe this person somehow DID get lost going to a party with this high tech gear and ended up on this secure facility, but it is highly unlikely in a reasonable universe. -
Seems pretty cool. Pain to code and separate from each other but cool.
