  1. BYOND Key: Rosetango Staff BYOND Key: Drwago, Garnascus Game ID: b2d-aY5b Reason for complaint: I was banned for a week for "self antagging" when Cynosure, the AI, refused to let me into atmospheric to touch TWO PUMPS so that the station could refill quickly and the PAPs would fill properly. I explained extensively to the AI that they shouldn't be keeping me out as it violates their laws, and I told Drwago, as I've been told by @Pratepresidenten, if two laws conflict, then the AI is to do NOTHING, to which she said I was rules-lawyering. There was a lot of people present that round that ALSO told the AI to let me into atmospherics. I don't know all of their CKeys, but @Mogelix and two others told the AI to let me in. The captain, @Contextual told the AI after a long time to stop it, but it was too late as I was receiving a week ban. I went through the necessary steps of escalation before doing what I did. I asked command over communications, I got no response I believe. Other crew came to my aid. The AI ignored them. I PDA messaged the Command staff, Thea and @Contextual. No immediate response. I cut the AI control to the atmos APC so it stops interfering with me checking the pumps. I have to HACK INTO atmospherics after the AI constantly bolts and turns off the power to the door. Over two fucking pumps. The AI was called away for other things but CONSTANTLY stalked me. Every time I went down to atmos, they turned off the power. Nobody wants to even consider I'm being targeted or metagrudged. Also, before this, I've only gotten a day ban. This was instantly escalated to a permaban regarding Willow although I was playing Samara, but then lowered to a week ban and not a three day ban, which is strange to me as I know there is a certain way of escalating bans, as it goes warning, 1 day, 3 day, week, and permaban. It feels like I did everything I needed to do, but still got fucked in the ass for my character trying to do her job. And yes, she's going to claim it's rogue because it is not serving the crew by preventing me from doing my job. Evidence/logs/etc: https://pastebin.com/n5eyCVNu I was so upset that I left the game immediately before being banned. I was not able to get logs from my perspective. Additional remarks: Two other people who were present that round that I know the CKeys of were @Bear and @Seeli. @Seeli actually has logs of what happened, IIRC. @Brayce also taught me a day or two before this on how to set up those two atmos pumps, if you think I'm metagaming.
  2. Sammo never demands to know what ISD is doing. Whether or not you choose to answer her asking will reflect in how she reacts. She doesn't take to change well and it makes her very irritable, which I believe I outlined in her security records but if I didn't, feel free to DM me. On top of that, Sammo is not meant to be a perfect character. If she was, she wouldn't be interesting to play or interact with. But I do understand where you're coming from, and greatly appreciate the feedback! Thank you, Shodan.
  3. A feedback thread for Samara Watson, AKA Sammo. Sammo has her own thread because I believe that Sammo & Willow are two very distinct characters who cannot be put in the same thread. Please leave constructive criticism!
  4. Soft bump for those interested.
Paradox has stated everything I would have said. Xenomorphs suffer from the same formula problem. They are a mob that was never made for HRP. They cannot even engage in RP, only the Queen can. You sit in a barricaded place for two hours and wait for: death, or to be saved. It's the same base formula. If xenomorphs were to receive a massive overhaul, like CM scale overhaul, then maybe we could implement them but that level of an overhaul is literally impossible with our current dev team.
  5. I'm not really involved in this complaint but I had a question: what about Garn's behavior? Will this also be handled?
  6. me likey, I don't really have anything to add. I prefer the first one, however.
  7. That is already leagues better than what was given before and I'm a lot more satisfied with the rewording. I can understand how playing with Willow can be frustrating (I get frustrated with me, too). I'd rather have no warning at all but I'm willing to compromise.
  8. Also, I was temp banned for escalation, not fearRP.
  9. Honestly? Yes. Asperger's isn't something you just know you have, and medical/psychiatric check-ups are typically general, more like "have you changed meds, have you been sick, are you showing any symptoms of X". Just because Willow gets an ion gun pointed at her doesn't mean she's a danger to herself or those around her- the person who aimed the ion is more likely a danger to those around them. Do people do stupid shit sometimes, and pay for it? Yes? Then why is it an issue for Willow to make rash, illogical decision as humans, or literally anything with emotions do? Do you think I disregard the consequences of her actions? I don't. I am fully aware of the consequences of her actions. Also, clearly you didn't actually read the symptoms, because it literally says this in the first one: The second one: And the third one: Most importantly... From personal experience, I was not diagnosed until I was around 13 or 14. Do you know what I went in for? Having panic attacks right before I slept every night. I came out with Mild Asperger's with Anxiety. I can remember quite a few times when overloaded, that I actually ended up attacking my little brother (only 2 yr age difference) to make him stop because I felt cornered. Just because Willow does not show an obvious reaction does not mean she disregards the consequences of her actions. Was Willow scared when she was in the situation she was in? Yes. Is she able to express that in a way others understand? No. I am being punished for playing a character that is flawed and acts outside of the norm, and does not go "oh no" every time she's threatened. I'm being punished for playing a character that makes irrational decisions as we all do. Have you ever said something you don't mean during a heated argument, to someone you love? Congratulations, you've made an irrational decision, just like Willow. Irrational decisions are made in the moment and in hindsight may not even make sense. Put yourself in Willow's shoes. Security has hurt you in the past and even brigged you for minor things such as jokingly poking a HOS or pranks. You are very aware that the people on security comms shit talk you all the time and actively dislike you. Then, you find out that somebody is being chased by ISD (instead of the ISD focusing on the intruder) because they did something minor (get in the OR rooms to prevent something bad) to get demoted by a CMO who has verbally abused you in the past on several occasions. You cannot trust ISD to treat her fairly. You cannot trust the CMO to listen to your reason. You are scared that if this person being chased gets out of your sight or out of your reach, you won't be able to protect them from what happened to you. You see the HoS talking to this person. What the hell are you going to do? Move them away from the dangerous situation and put yourself in the path. Why? Because you know you can take it, and you have extremely low self worth. You also can't clearly communicate these feelings because you just don't know how. And I'm being threatened with a permaban if I keep playing Willow the way she is. Because she makes illogical decisions. Because she faces major challenges with controlling her emotions. Because people have gone out of their way to antagonize her. Because she gets noisy on communications sometimes, because she's worried about her coworkers and actually cares enough about them to check on them. This is what I am being threatened with a permaban for. Because people are too focused on what she was, not what she is and how things look from her perspective.
  10. I think that with some cooperation from already whitelisted IPC players and synth lore devs, Mini could be a pretty good addition to the IPC population. What I see in the previous posts is complaints of cursing and whatnot, but that was from around when Mini first started playing and is not taking into account their most recent interactions. Mini comes from two different servers with two different expectations of synth play. From what I understand, IPCs are somewhat supposed to mimic organic life, so an IPC with simulated emotions probably wouldn't be too far fetched, but it would be just that, simulated emotions. A positronic brain could not emulate the complexities of a human brain, because a positronic brain simply doesn't function the way a human brain does. It's easy to get emotionally invested during roleplay and make mistakes, we are all guilty of it even if we don't want to admit it. To ask a synth player to play without emotion and to consider logic first always is easier said than done, because OOCly, we are human, and emotion typically dictates our actions. But I'm getting off track. What I mean to say is that given some very clear guidance and close monitoring during their play as an IPC if this whitelist gets accepted for about a week, I think we could see phenomenal improvement in Mini. And I don't mean the generic "they act too human" guidance, I mean the kind where the issue is pointed out "act too human" and a possible resolution for the behavior is provided (e,g. "Mini seemed too emotionally invested in [x] situation. I think next time maybe Mini should..." or "I think Mini's word choice could be changed so that they seem more synthetic rather than organic.") Generally +1 from me, obviously Mini needs improvements but I think given time and effort Mini could be a pretty good IPC.
  11. BYOND Key: Rosetango Staff BYOND Key: Readthisnameplz, Houseofsynth Game ID: N/A, at least not easily. Reason for complaint: I disagree with my judgment, as I feel the actual scenario that took place was not looked at thoroughly enough. I have also failed after two months to receive an explanation on what exactly in that scenario what I did wrong, or what rules I broke. Nobody has even remotely tried to help me improve, nor give out detailed advice. I also feel that a lot of the people who were involved's opinions were either not received, or were completely ignored. The judgment itself actually breaks my character and makes her impossible to play. I have done things as Sammo (of course, rarely) that Willow would have done, and gotten away with it. The most important example I can think of is when I told @somethingiguess to back off repeatedly (to prevent her from abusing a prisoner) and when she didn't, I stabbed Moira once in the foot. Had I done that as Willow, I would have been banned near instantly. I would also like to raise something that someone said to me. I will not say their name because I don't know if they would like to be named or involved in this report. "[ANONYMOUS] Last Tuesday at 9:25 AM That was Something I would equate that to dyslioths warning just recently you didnt olay the character to their expecations so its wrong no matter if the security team ocly there oocly also thought you were in the right If both parties agree. The third osrty should be null imho Party*" Evidence/logs/etc: There's a lot. PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY, AND ASK QUESTIONS, WHOEVER TAKES THIS. RTNP DMs: https://pastebin.com/gLS3bMzu Houseofsynth DMs: https://pastebin.com/JU7zQk7H I also do understand that I need to work on my fear RP as her, and I will admit that is one of the things I failed to do in that incident. But threatening to permaban me for playing my character how she is, and for a slip up on failing to do fear RP, on top of only applying punishment to me and not anybody else involved... It just makes me not want to play. Additional remarks: I'm sorry if a lot of the things I say are emotionally charged. I'm upset by this deeply, and I don't think I could get all of this out in one sitting without rewriting it all. I want to give permission to @ParadoxSpace to be able to comment on this because he has a way of pointing out and wording things, an ability to do that, that I don't have. He often has a way of pointing out these things that I fail to say but completely agree with. I would also like to bring up that Arrow's post was taken into consideration even though it was not about the complaint itself, or rather the incident involved. Also, at least not to my knowledge, neither Dasfox or Smithead/Smifboy were contacted regarding the situation they witnessed and were involved in.
  12. I didn't really think of her personality at the time, mainly because it asks for a backstory rather than a depiction of personality. Usually, as I play a character, the more and more their personality comes out. She's distrusting of strangers, or so I'd think so, but mainly aliens rather than her fellow Sinta. She would be opposed to being sent off if she didn't understand what her father was actually trying to accomplish for her. She doesn't really resent her father because she understands what this means for her, her family, and her clan. Her main personality traits that I have so far are shy, submissive (to male Sinta and other authority figures), traditionalist (as she adheres to her traditions). I don't know what other traits would stick out ATM, mainly because I can't really develop her personality as is. However, that's not to say that she's not unhappy in general with her position in life. A lot of women back in the 50s weren't satisfied with just being the housewife, so I think I can apply the same here. First point. That's why I said that it's like a hijab! Sorry for the confusion. Second. I totally forgot about religion, which is absolutely my fault! Given the fact that she's traditionalist, I'd say she's a worshipper of Th'akh. Th'akh, Sk'akh, Si'akh, and Aut'akh similarities: The soul is the true individual, and the body is just a vessel. Burial rites are of high importance to each religion for different reasons. The soul could be given the body of a different gender. Th'akh, Sk'akh, and Si'akh similarities. (Excludes any already cited above): Prosthetic limbs maim the soul. (With some different views in the case of Th'akh and Sk'akh) Non-traditional relationships are frowned upon. (In the case of Si'akh, they're just outright ignored in terms of same-sex marriage.) Synthetics do not have souls. (This isn't explicitly touched on in Si'akhs section, but I imagine since it comes from Sk'akh, it'd share that same belief.) Th'akh and Sk'akh similarities. (Excludes any already cited above): Cloning is a form of reincarnation or continuation of the soul, as it's snatched out of the spirit realm and placed into the new body. (This also applies for Aut'akh) Si'akh differences: Have a strict diet. Xenos have souls, but they are not damned like Sinta are. (The other religions from what I read and remember don't explicitly touch on non-Sinta having souls.) They are doomed to forever reincarnate, unless they can somehow break their curse by currying Sk'akh's favor, or being forgiven by Si'akh. Si'akh is basically the Jesus Christ of his religion, with some doomsday spices scattered in. Cloning does not work. The clone is controlled by a demon. Relationships are a matter of duty, and duty only. Aut'akh differences: Non-traditional relationships are a bit irrelevant, though marriages still do happen (and they are capable of children)! Despite gender being visually indistinguishable, female Aut'akh often go through the same issues that regular Sinta women do. They frown on those who refuse augmentation or synthetic limbs, seen as embracing the temptation and sins that flesh offers. Their spirits are magic and are capable of possessing metal, but because their bodies are powered by electricity, they don't have to spend that magic operating their body, thus making their spirits more powerful. In some cases, one can have so much magic that they are capable of fighting off demons, influencing events, turn opinions, and instill confidence in themselves and others... or so their belief says. Incapable of rejoining their ancestors unless the curse is broken somehow, otherwise doomed to reincarnate forever. Oss is a manifestation of Sk'akh, and guides their lifestyles. Beyond that, I would like to note that Sk'akh has similarities to Christian Crusaders, especially with the crusade against the Aut'akh and the attack of the Akhandi Order. Third. Kind of explained above! Apologies for the delay in my response, I look forward to my judgment and hopefully playing this species!
  13. Apologies for the delay in responses, within the next few days I will reply in depth. Thank you for your patience, I had a busy weekend.
  14. BYOND Key: Rosetango Character Names: Marisol Santana, Leah Siskin, Willow Harper, Lakia Morozli, Hal Cohle, Samara Watson, and plenty others but I don’t play them that often. Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): A sort of swampy green or dark olive green, with dark muddy highlights (covering her hands and feet.) Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I have wanted to play Unathi for a little while, especially since the Aut’akh update. I see that Unathi, though more popular than Dionae or Vaurca, are still somewhat of a rarity. I want to change this, and I also want to challenge myself by playing a type of character that contrasts my usual character traits. I want to use this as a chance to improve myself as a roleplayer, and as a player. It’s a bit hard for me to put into words, but I think you understand. (I also really like snakes, and Unathi are reptilian/serpentine.) Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: I’m going to start off with mechanics. The most obvious one is that humans are kind of like the baseline. The easiest comparison I can use is like the humans in D&D, where they can choose to have +1 for two stats or +2 for one, or choose a feat instead. Humans in SS13 don’t really have any certain weaknesses or buffs. Unathi are different in that they are weaker to cold temperatures, are stronger in terms of endurance, have claws which can be deadly in close combat, and can sprint faster than humans (although for very short distances.) They are stronger than humans but lack the flexibility that humans have. Now, I’m going to discuss the cultural differences. The biggest cultural differences I can think of are their religions, and their behaviorisms. While a human may have no issue with taking a robotic limb, most Unathi religions see it as taboo, and a form of marring the soul. They believe firmly (generally) that synthetics have no souls, while a human might debate another on the topic. A human will do anything to survive, even if it means dirty blows. But it’s cowardly and dishonorable for Unathi to hit an opponent while he’s down. A human will speak to criminals with little to no issue, but Traditionalist Unathi will not speak to Guwan, and if they have to, they usually use gestures or refer to a Guwan as it, as a Guwan has kind of forfeited their soul. Character Name: Seska Aksensai Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs. Born on Moghes, Seska Aksensai was a beautiful young maiden of her clan. Though somewhat poor and growing up in a rural region of the Izweski Empire, her family and clan enjoyed a relative peace and tense but calm competition with the other families and clans within their village. This was not meant to last, unfortunately. During a village Zazehal festival, three Unathi women plotted against Seska. Seska had performed entertainment for the village, utilizing blade dancing and she had grown tired. She was on her way home when three masked assailants threw an acidic mixture of some kind at her face and body, jealous of her beauty. Seska crawled back to the center of the celebration in tears and in pain, collapsing before the horrified gathering. She was rushed to the shaman, and then after a few days, transported to another town that was better equipped to treat her. She did not return for a few weeks, and when she did, she had covered half of her face with a scarf, similar to a human hijab. Nobody saw her for days as she grieved the loss of her beauty and her value to her clan. The assailants were never identified, leading her family to believe they were hired assassins of some sort, or already Guwaned Unathi. The head of her clan, Korakzs, pleaded with the region’s lord to spare some of his wealth as they were already indebted to the hospital and believed that not only would Seska’s life be in danger if she stayed in the village, but so would her mental state. He also explained that he wished to send Seska to Tau Ceti, in hopes that she would meet a Unathi male that truly loved and cared about her, not for her beauty but for her personality, and that she would be happy. After much discussion, the empathetic Lord established a deal between himself and Korakzs and progress towards sending Seska to Tau Ceti began. It took a year and several months to complete this task, and it was done. Seska has only recently arrived in Tau Ceti and has already applied for a few positions with Nanotrasen, mainly gardener, chef, and custodian, as she has won quite a few competitions in her village in the past for exceptional workmanship in these areas. She is just awaiting the call back. What do you like about this character? What I like the most about this character is the fact that I will get to roleplay an uneducated, religiously brainwashed Traditionalist Unathi woman coming to an extremely liberal system and finding that not everything is black and white like she has been taught. I will get to roleplay her beliefs and traditions being challenged as she begins to think for herself rather than others thinking for her, and begin to come to her own conclusions. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Probably a solid 6 or 7 out of 10. I say this because I have a lot of room to improve, more so than others given my warnings and what not. But I genuinely believe that I would enjoy playing this race, and given that people have been asking me to apply for any whitelist for a long time, I feel like this is worth at least trying for. Notes: N/A.
  15. Thanks for the feedback, Crystal. I do intend on rewriting her flavor text to better suit what she's become, as well as cut out unnecessary fluff. Willow has definitely changed since her conception. Though, if there are any recent incidents that you can recall clearly about her yelling at antags, please tell me. Provide details in question and tell me what you thought was wrong. Thank you again for the feedback!
  16. A vote sounds fine, but I feel that the amount of people saying yes and people saying no should be accounted for, because sometimes we end up with something like 22 Yes and 21 No on event votes.

  18. I feel like a lot was left out, but I'll do my best to explain why Willow did what she did. Stress during the shift was high since at the start Willow was charged with failure to execute an order because she was ordered to give a cartridge of mindbreaker toxin to security instead of medical/chemistry. She disobeyed because she believed it was a waste of resources and that it would be safest in chemistry. She gets fined and gets extremely upset because it just broke her 7~ month long streak of no charges, which meant a lot to her. Stress only got worse when the ninja began killing people, and higher when Willow found out that Fernando had fired someone who she thought was good at her job. She only knew that Security was after Thea, and Willow rarely has pleasant interactions with security, mainly because of her lack of good communication skills and blunt tone, which is the result of an undiagnosed mental illness which I will not name due to character arc purposes. Willow was wearing an industrial rig suit completely deployed by the time the shuttle had docked and had it because mining decided it would be best for her to have some armor versus none earlier, because of the ninja. At this point (shuttle docking) the chat was going kind of fast and there was a lot happening at once, which I have a hard time processing due to ADHD and the fact that I have a hard time processing too much stimulus at once (sensory overload) so there was likely a lapse in roleplay on my part, which I apologize for. I genuinely cannot remember if I saw the HoS talking to her when I first pulled her or not. Either way, Willow is running on adrenaline at this point and is fueled by lots of paranoia, so she's kind of stuck in fight or flight mode and knows that Thea asked for her protection. So fearing for both of their safety, Willow pulls Thea onto the shuttle and into a seat and tries to create a barrier. There was only the issue of the helmets, which Willow eventually did comply with, but quickly, out of spite. She was scared that the HoS might abuse her trust by spraying her as soon as her face protection goes down, which is why she initially refused. As for the lethals, Willow gambled and placed faith in the HoS and the security team to NOT use it (ions or otherwise) on the shuttle. She also believed that she had adequate protection from bullets & batons as she was wearing a fully deployed industrial rig, which she has little know-how of how it actually works but assumed it had plenty of armor due to its size. Willow was also afraid of being fired but she was more concerned about the safety of her wellbeing and other crewmembers and was like I said earlier, stuck in fight or flight mode. As for the threatening security, that was said after Fernando brought attention to Thea's arrest. Willow saying "touch her and I'll kick her ass" is her way of saying "please keep your distance, I am feeling threatened right now". Much like an animal, like a cat for example, when threatened, she attempts to make herself look bigger and worse (in the case of cats, puffing up and hissing). A lot of times threats like that and Willow saying "leave you're not appreciated here" or "back off" is just, quite literally, her giving her warning sign that she feels threatened and would like you to back off, "if you press further, I will defend myself". Willow's lack of good communication skills is intentional and something I've been trying to make glaring obvious as of late, and is resultant of previously mentioned undiagnosed mental illness, which I have been trying to get diagnosed but find it very hard to with the lack of consistent psyches, and it feels cheap to just make up a psyche and get her diagnosed.
  19. Posting on behalf of Bauser. BYOND Key: Bauser Total Ban Length: Permanent Reason of Ban: Told Goret to fuck off Reason for Appeal: Sometimes you just know it's time. And today, it's time. So I can read the forum again without having to use my phone. So I can stay in touch with the development pipeline. So I can catch up with some friends. In early December, Goret deleted a few of my posts, claiming they were off-topic. This was a problem for me, because the topic was a controversial one and the insight I had was not going to be given if I didn't give it. So I disagreed, but I knew he'd already made up his mind (since the action had already been taken). I had no recourse. Instead of wasting his time by arguing with him, I just told him to fuck off in a PM so he would know where I stand. I did this with the full knowledge that it would not cause him any harm (because people don't get upset by being told to fuck off on the internet). I have served three months for this decision. Completely discarding the fact that recent events demonstrate how those deleted posts were both true and salient, I will simply ask: If Goret wasn't hurt by what I did, who owns the debt I'm repaying with my absence? Bauser#2332 on Discord if I need to answer any questions.
  20. Reporting Personnel: Willow Harper Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Cargo Technician Game ID: bZc-cMvg Personnel Involved: - Willow Harper, Cargo Technician (Witness, Reporting Personnel) - Kazmir Illick, Maintenance Technician (Victim, Witness) - Benji Marsh, Chief Medical Officer (Offender) - Nazret Naxxir, Cargo Technician (Witness) Time of Incident: Real Time: 3:00~ pm CST/8:00~ pm GMT 03/10/19 Location of Incident: NSS Aurora, Red Dock Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [X] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [X] - Neglect of Duty [X] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: Due to unknown causes, Kazmir Illick had appeared to have a ruptured lung and was suffocating, choking on his own blood and unable to speak. Security was doing a search at the time. The HoS announced that they needed medical to red dock, because Kazmir was suffocating. The CMO does not respond, so I decided that I would administer first aid. I made it through without incident. I grabbed an oxygen deprivation kit and found Kazmir, who was being pulled along by the HoS of that shift. I took over and began to administer medical aid the best I could. The departures shuttle arrived so I rushed on board with Kazmir in tow. Unable to get into the medical bay of the shuttle, I break the glass window and make my way inside to get more dexalin as my kit was empty at this point, so I put him into the sleeper. Sometime between my entry into the shuttle and breaking into the medical bay of the shuttle, the CMO had finally arrived. I continued administering first aid because my back was turned and I did not see him until he had entered the medical bay, at which time I let him take over. I am upset and begin scolding him, saying that he needed to arrive faster, and he threatened me with an IR for "being so obnoxious". I said that he would be on the other side of the stick for ignoring our calls for help. He makes a remark about my employment & potentially my medical records, which are not public, in the presence of most if not all of the crew on the shuttle, stating: "Once there is more than one doctor to handle all medical calls, will humor your state of being unfit for duty." I asked him what was he treating that was more important than a man with a ruptured lung suffocating, he replied exposing the medical records of his patient, stating that they had untreated degenerative brain damage from another CMO. I asked him if that patient was going to die without treatment. He did not answer me, instead making what I can only assume was a jab at my intelligence by stating: "Your opinion, naturally as a lower rung crate pusher, is less than engaging." I'm pretty sure he was implying I was uneducated and stupid. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: No, because it was the end of the shift and I was preoccupied with giving the man medical aid. Actions taken: I, alongside other people, repeatedly requested medical to red dock/departures to no avail. Additional Notes: N/A
  21. Cloning is not fun, and nobody gets cloned because of how difficult the traumas are to treat. Maybe they shouldn't be removed, but they shouldn't keep people out of the round. I once spent an hour in and out of consciousness after being cloned and by the time I got the proper treatment and was able to roleplay, the crew transfer was called. We have to think about what the code is capable of, versus what we'd like to see. We shouldn't punish the entire crew and player base for the few people who don't roleplay the trauma of being cloned properly. In my experience, the traumas add nothing meaningful to roleplay. They are flavoring- except, the flavoring is now a critical and agonizing part of gameplay that nobody who plays medical even wants to handle. I cannot see how it's "fun" to treat traumas as a psychologist or psychiatrist, you're just forcing people to interact with you in an unpleasant manner. Most of the time the rounds are two hours or less, making it so that the actual quality of RP for each patient drops tremendously. I don't have an issue with traumas conceptually, I have an issue with how severe they are and how they take people out of the game permanently. A couple of solutions would be these (the ones bolded are the ones I agree with most): Remove traumas entirely. Remove the traumas that keep people from playing. Consider lack of or absence of roleplayed mental trauma or horror of being cloned or dying punishable, as it breaks these rules (preferably in combination with the above options): Start the cloning machines upgraded, so that difficult traumas are minimized. Why the hell have the option to rejoin the game as the character you joined to play in the first place if it's not even a real, viable option?
  22. Just a gentle bump to revive this.
  23. I don't want you or need you to like me, Resi. Playing with you has gone from enjoyable to unenjoyable over the period of several months. I didn't want to bring this up here either, but I used to enjoy playing any character around Fernando. But, I honestly cannot recall a time when I've had a positive experience with you or Fernando or any of your other characters in the past 3~ months. I want to enjoy playing with you. I want to enjoy interacting with you. But experiencing negative after negative OOC interaction, such as you belittling me for factors out of my control like my age, even after going out of my way to avoid you or minimize interaction with you, I feel like my OOC experience has begun to be affected. Although you are by no means required to listen to me, I would appreciate it if the hostility within every interaction we have is eased up on. Playing a dick isn't against the rules, neither is not liking someone OOCly, but what is against the rules is being a dick. I will not move from my stance that I believe that you have metagrudged me. I also think the gimmick did not demand you to kill me. It was up to you to decide whether or not Oliver calling me over was naming me or not. You had the option of saying that it wasn't, given that he was simply calling for my attention, but you didn't. You chose to kill me.
  24. That was not the point of that one entirely, and what you said I feel was incredibly spiteful. I was saying to reassure us that the mistakes wouldn't happen again. As for "this isn't the first time she's said this to me" tidbit, here is a comment by her when I talked to her about something unrelated, around the time Burger made a complaint.
