  1. Still, it makes no sense for it to not be in the game, I understand it would be rare to be used, but it also could give something medical interns of physicans to do when there is a big waiting line of people who need surgeries and surgeons are working around the clock. I understand it would be low priority, but still it should be something possible. One example is, how often do we use Ryetalyn? I literally have seen it used twice in the multiple years of playing medical, but we still have it for a reason. Same also could be said for Raskara Dust, Krok Juice, Paxazide, or Asinodryl. All of these are super niche chemicals and items but we STILL have them. So I see no reason not to add normal Saline in as well.
  2. I've noticed something that's kinda bugged me about the server. I know you can just force feed someone water, or force feed them food, you'd think with us being a HRP server we would have normal saline packets and parenteral nutrition packets on hand to help dehydrate/feed patients who might be to critically hurt to stand. It doesn't have to be something major, just something more elegant then force feeding someone a packet of beef jerky or pouring water down their throat. My suggestion would be, normal saline should barely help restore blood, and help hydrates the patient. While the parenteral nutrition should just administer nutrition to said patient. Before you say it, yes I know we have saline plus, but that is almost NEVER used to help hydrate someone, its always used to help restore blood, it also takes phoron to make, which is super limited and to waste a super valuable piece of medicine on just hydration is kinda stupid. It's also help free up time for medical staff to not have to waste time in running around medical to find a beaker or go to buy a packet of food to feed a patient, instead all it needs is for the person to hook up an IV, and be done with it, freeing up said medical staffs time.
  3. I wasn't exactly offended, I was more so just annoyed at how this felt like it was a kinda lazy antag round
  4. If I was in your place, and I was the one doing this gimmick, well I wouldn't because I don't know enough deep information about Islam to play a character whose faith is based around it. But if I did give it a shot, I'd start it off small, don't come right out the bat swinging. Start off with maybe an announcement that most of the ships liquor will be dumped, drive up tension, I know that La Villa Strangiato said that not all Muslims subscribe to this belief well clearly yours did and since you've stated they're not exactly the nicest of person I can see them enforcing this onto others. This could drive up tension still, do some other minor things, like curtail Vaurca legal protective rights for Elyrans have a serious disliking to them, and maybe even after that start curtailing all Non-Elyrans legal protections/rights as well due to they were now classed as NPC's in Elyran society. This could have really driven up the tension without it going over the top, it would cause some bubbling loathing, and maybe some fights will break out. Maybe to keep your power and to cause a rift, make all security NPC's still have all their rights, and maybe even some bonuses for staying loyal. But instead you went with "Throw all the pigs out and detain someone for eating beef bacon." which was just goofy and wasn't exactly something that had much bearing on the round due to the ship having no pigs of any kind.
  5. I was apart of the round, I was the Diona that bugged off of the ship due to not wanting to risk getting gatted by the Elyran group. From what I saw from the round myself, though I don't personally have any issues with any religion of faith being poked and made fun of as long as its done in an actually funny way, this wasn't funny in the slightest to me, it felt like it was just basically "Lets see how many stereotypes I can stuff into this round and do it in a very half-assed and uninteresting way.", this could have been an interesting gimmick, this could have been cool to see how radically different cultures are made to interact and to see how well they jell or grade against one and another, instead it was just endless poorly done stereotype after another.
  6. let me be a lard ass and get lard from other animals to eat.
  7. I hate most of Goolies's characters. Give this man bug permissions, please for the love of god, I want to see what else he makes. +1 all the way.
  8. You don't have to learn every planet and culture. I only know like 1/3rd of the planets and cultures and thats due to the characters I play. So, I say more is better here, as long as its good quality, which this clearly is.
  9. I've seen two of their characters in action so far, and I have to say both were very fun to play with. Their lab assistant somehow breaking medical was a fun little challenge to try and fix it, and it made for pretty good rp. And Stefanie honestly is a pretty rad character as well. They seem to know the lore of the cultures they play, and know how to roleplay them properly. I have no doubt in my mind they'd make for an amazing frog person. +1
  10. The dude has been an amazing XO so far, I've been playing bridge crew quiet alot of late so I've got to seen the dude in action a few times. Their roleplaying abilities to portray XO meets every standard this server asks for and then some. Make this blue tin can XO for the love of god. He has earned by +1
  11. I support this alot! But I think it should also include its military/police force as well.
  12. I've just learned that if you're missing a leg or a foot, you can not use a crutch to help you walk, this makes almost no sense. Crutches have often been a very common tool that amputee's use. Wheelchairs are nice, but often crutches can be just as important, if not more important as they can allow the person a greater deal of dexterity, mobility, and movement options then a wheelchair could. I would like for this to be changed so it gives crutches and such abit more use and versatility.
  13. I can not give FearTheBlackout enough +1's for the amazing roleplaying skills I've witnessed of them. They make interesting, complex characters that really do feel alive, have a backstory, have a history, and more. My favorite character of the ones they play is Claudia Arcavius, a character who really has spirit to them. I give this application a +1 and say they would make an amazing addition to the vampire tree race.
  14. Saw you playing as a Head of Security, and I got to say you knocked it out of the damn park. Amazing roleplay, not annoying, you know how to lead security, just the right kind of authority and freedom blend. Takes command when needed, and allows peoples do to their thing when not needed. +1
  15. Nope, nothing else.
  16. Yep! Though do know, this years winter has been oddly brutal to my power line which isn't surprising I live in the middle of fucking no where. But still, this year I have suffered alot of sudden power outs.
  17. BYOND Key: Sarge7767 Staff BYOND Key: Melariara Game ID: cl4-b5VO (I think it was this round) Reason for complaint: Evidence/logs/etc: During this round, I was the antag and it was basically the start. But during my round as antag my power had suddenly died on me and did not return until it was 4 PM EST, this was due to the snow storm that had happened. My phone at the time was also dead and had no way of charging it, and even worse I don't even have discord on it so I had no ability to inform staff of what had happened. Additional remarks: I'm not upset at all at mel, I'm simply posting this to get my record cleaned of the warning.
  18. Reporting Personnel: Amira Lagu Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Bridge Crewmen Game ID: clZ-c2PR Personnel Involved: Head of Security, Kriszta Meszaros (Offender) First Responder, Imari Mneme-Osei (Offender) Chef, Nick Crane (Offender/Witness) Secondary Witnesses: Chef, Tanisha Mahuika (Witness) Time of Incident: Real Time: 4:30 PM EST 1/21/2023 Location of Incident: Kitchen Nature of Incident: [X] - Workplace Hazard [X] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: So I was coming up from my dorm after I had woken up, I was off-duty at the time and trying to just relax, I went to the kitchen to maybe get myself something to eat when Imari Mneme-Osei rolled into the kitchen with a body bag filled with dead green slime's, and informed us command wanted the kitchen staff to 'make' something from it. This was extremely unhygienic, and secondly an extremely stupid request. I and pretty much the rest of the ship learned that this was Kriszta Meszaros. When I tried to inform command that slime's are extremely toxic and eating one is deadly, Kriszta Meszaros told me that I can't be trusted simply because I wasn't on duty, and that I wasn't paid to say that, this of course enraged me that I was being called a liar and untrustworthy which is never a good thing to hear a member of your command staff say, and can have a very negative look on you. Then Kriszta Meszaros and Imari Mneme-Osei came down to the kitchen and requested Nick Crane to cook the dead slime's bodies into a 'slime steak', he for some reason agreed with this horribly dangerous dish knowing full well that Slime is something Humans shouldn't eat. After this me and Tanisha Mahuika left, I was feeling insulted, and Tanisha Mahuika clearly unhappy at this as well. We then learn at the end of the shift that the two who had consumed the slime steaks became poisoned, and vomited it up, and to avoid suffering further issues wasted medical chemicals so they can pull this little stunt and look cool. My faith in command has been badly shaken by these idiotic displays of ego, and I feel personally insulted at being called a liar, if these are the people who get hired for command positions and are highly trusted with sensitive parts of the ship, I do not think I will want to keep working with the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate in the future for my own health and safety. Submitted Evidence: N/A Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [X] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: The complaint is focused around a command member, and there was no higher authority to take this matter to. Actions taken: N/A Additional Notes:
  19. I suggest we bring rat back instead.
  20. I've seen Fated roleplay Eleonora Van Der Veen and Xace Barzani both very well, the characters seem to have a firm understanding of Aurora lore, and are very good at making them seem believable, and actually interesting. I fully believe that if Fated did get a XO role, it would be a major boon to not only the command staff of the ship, but also be a rather interesting character to roleplay with. They've earned by +1
  21. 1. How do they feel about other species?: For most of the races, outside of Humans they haven't had much in the way of long term interactions to get a solid feeling on many races. But from what little they have seen? Humans, being the most common of the race in the Spur that Endless Wells have interacted with, Endless Wells view Humans as a go get-em kind of race, they're so short lived (Compared to a Dionae) but in their short times they have, they can do amazing things. But this is where Endless Wells feels this is also Humans biggest failing, due to they live such short lives, they tend to be quick to jump to things such as greed, anger, and hedonism. In short, Humanity can do great feats, but can also be at fault for also great tragedies for the sake of speed, and so Endless Wells is friendly, but cautious of Humans due to their unstable temperament. Skrell, being the second most common race Endless Wells has come into contact with but still really not that often compared to Humans. Endless Wells views Skrell to be more understanding, rational, and logical, but outside of that simply doesn't know enough to make a fair judgement. So in short, neutral but positive. IPC's, a race of machines, of logical thinkers, and of a great debate wither they're truly alive or not. Endless Wells see's IPC's as a race that is to vast to properly boil down into a single spot or feeling. Some IPC's are nearly robotic with no emotions, while others seem to mimic emotions almost perfectly which just muddies the thoughts of them even more. In short, neutral and of need of further study to truly understand them. Unathi, a race Endless Wells rarely got to interact with, but the few small times they did get to interact with them, Endless Wells can see Unathi as proud, strong, loyal friends, but are also very aggressive, and prone to anger in the right circumstances. so in short, Friendly, but cautious due to Unathi's natural strength coupled with their higher levels of aggression then in most other races. Vaurca, being a race Endless Wells has almost no interactions with, but from what little Endless Wells has learned, they're strange, extremely alien in mindset, and due to the many many different types of Vaurca hives out there, it makes it even harder to properly pin down a feeling for them. so in short, neutral and of need of further study. Tajara, being much like the Vaurca in terms of interactions, has almost no real clue on how to judge them. All Endless Wells knows is that they have been at endless war with themselves on their home planet. So in short, neutral and in need of further study. 2. How do they feel about the other branches of the eternal?: Orthodox Eternal, their fellow brethren in terms of faith. Endless Wells views them as the necessary arbiters of the The Ch’sssn’aah, and the ones who keep the faith from dead-locking or degrading as they help settle disputes. Iron Eternal, Endless Wells views them as those who deny the true path of the Eternal, seeing their focus on the physical aspects of the faith instead of the spiritual ones makes Endless Wells extremely upset, and rather annoyed. Though viewing them in a negative light, its never anywhere near to the point of aggression, or hate, simply disliking their practices. 3. Do they have any opinions on the SCC/NT?: Not really, its a company that like all others has a goal of making profit. There isn't really much dislike or hate for them, for they do help employ millions of people, with stable, well paying jobs. But there isn't much love either for it, for NT and the SCC are extremely greedy, to the point if left unchecked, could be harmful to all. But as of now, no real thoughts outside of them being just a very powerful company.
  22. BYOND Key: Sarge7767 Character Names: Evelyn Heaven, Surgeon Violeta Arche, Physician Viviana Doroteia, Warden Trhofiim R'odion, Assistant Carmina Divina, First Responder Scarlett Savali, Cook Yakov Genrikh, Shaft Miner Species you are applying to play: Dionae What color do you plan on making your first alien character: N/A Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: Dionae to me are one of the most unique and fascinating races of Aurora lore, they have no known homeworld, and their culture is to say the least one of the most diverse outside of Humans, and maybe the Skrell. Dionae also have so many different mindsets, styles of play, and that gives me a lot of freedom to customize my Dionae in almost any way I wish, with a few key exceptions, and that is something I really enjoy about a race, is when I have the most freedom. Another reason why I wish to play the Dionae is because I really like the religion The Eternal, it is possibly the largest reason why I’m making this app, The Eternal is extremely diverse in its ideals, and how to pursue said ideal which is them being turned into a star and giving off energy and life. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The biggest difference between roleplaying a Dionae compared to a Human would be the fact that Dionae is that a Dionae Gestalt is not one person, its multiple people with their own thoughts, desires, and wishes all coming together as one to form a single body that they all have to share and this is often reflected as different mindsets and how they interact with others and their surroundings. Another major difference between the two is that Dionae are normally very good natured, respectful, and rather adverse to violence, though that is to say that not all Dionae are passive and kind, but they more often than not act much more passive than Humans. Another major thing is how Dionae learn, while Dionae can learn just like how a Human would, they also can learn rather quickly via ingesting blood from intelligent creatures like Humans, Skrell, ect. Character Name: Endless Wells of Crimson Bring About Untold Wisdom Please provide a short backstory for this character (For the sake of not having to write out their full name every time, I will simply be referring to them as Endless Wells) Endless Wells’s Gestalt formed about a century ago on a small asteroid within Coalition space near the Rebels Reach region, They were a part of a small independent community of Void Tamers. In this community Endless Wells partook in the normal activities that comes with Void Tamer life, herding, raising, and butchering the carp and gants they raised for profit, often selling it to small nearby colony merchant ships. But Endless Wells’s was always a curious Dionae, always asking questions regarding matters of theology, logic, philosophy, and the sorts, and this caught the attention of the groups local Overseer/religious figure, finding potential in Endless Wells, they took to teaching them all they knew about the Blood Eternal, its teachings, practices, and its songs. Decades passed for Endless Wells’s, at this point becoming the communities record keeper, and scribe. Detailing the small but proud history of their community, but it didn’t take long for Endless Wells’s desire and yearn to learn more about the outside, and to properly be ordained as an Overseer of the Blood Eternal. So Endless Wells’s took a few years to save up enough credits to buy passage onto a merchant ship, and to finally make their way to Xanu Prime first, for they didn’t have alot of credits still, even after working years it was just enough to book passage to Xanu Prime. Endless Wells’s worked on Xanu Prime for a few years as a common laborer, saving up most of their wages, and to also earn Coalition citizenship proper. During their time on Xanu Prime, Endless Wells’s took to studying and learning as much as they could in their freetime, they learned about other Dionae clusters and cultures that lived in the Spur, and also along with other matters such as philosophy, poetry, politics, and more, seeming to have an almost unquenchable thirst for information and the like. Nearly five years passed, and Endless Wells’s was ready to set out, and so the first place they went was to the Viscerabelt where they after some time, were ordained properly as an Overseer. Once ordained Endless Wells’s, being of the mindtype Scholarly Song then opted to migrate to Biesel, for the stores of knowledge, ideals, and stories from other walks of life was too tempting for the Gestalt to pass up. Though their stay on Biesel was brief, for when they learned of the launching of the SCCV Horizon, they signed up to work for Nanotransen as a Priest, so to not only spread the teachings of the Eternal, but to also see many of the new and wondrous discoveries that would be made by the ship itself. What do you like about this character?: I would say what I most enjoy about this character is the mix of religious beliefs, and starry eye wonder. How would you rate your role-playing ability?: I would say my roleplaying skills are to an acceptable level for Aurora. Notes:
  23. The birth of the Coalition of Colonies came about to stand as a united rebellious front against the Solarian Alliance to gain independence, and during that time the name Coalition of Colonies made sense! For a coalition is usually a temporary alliance of multiple groups during a time where such is needed, be it political, national, or something else. But the thing is when the rebellion had succeeded and they had thrown off the Solarian yolk they formed a nation where membership within the state is optional, and they can leave anytime they wish, and retain most of their independence while still being within the state, This right here is a Confederation. In short it makes very little sense for the Coalition of Colonies to stay as the Coalition, and it would make more sense for these rebellious groups and planets to be formed into a single nation and be called the Confederation of Colonies.
