As a note; I was the cadet in question; though I'm fairly sure I didn't gank anyone. I killed the HoS Jason Stamos; the Engineer Ziva Mo'Taki, and the scientist Tim Cooks; and as far as I was aware, they were satisfied with how it played out. As for the third body in the brig, Phillip Asimov; I knew he was killed by the other ling; but I have no idea how he ended up in the brig. I am honestly as confused as you why Inis was never arrested, she wasn't subtle. EDIT: Inis did not have hallucination sting; she had silence, deaf, armblades, shield and transformation.

Nor was any of this actually in your message, or relayed to me. Anyone confused should talk to the people in charge, not an arbitary player, that is what the staff are for. You were also not warned. I did not dish out a warning, just a notice. I did not assume you were stupid, and I am mildly offended that you are assuming that. It's about accountability, a random person does not know you, does not know your relation to the report, or anything else, to see an unknown user posting instead of the staff members that are in charge of that area undermines their authority, which is even worse for the community, if no one has any respect for the staff keeping it running.

In addition, the poster of the complaint was PMed, stating the reasoning for it being locked and archived.

My evaluation of the post went like this: 1. Is Frances connected to the report? No. 2. Was Frances the player who talked to or the moderator that talked to them? No. 3. Was Frances able to see the Msay/Asay discussion about the incident? No. From this synopsis, I decided that Frances did not have sufficient weight to say either way if the complaint was dealt with Adminside, so the post was removed. It's down to the Moderator involved, or someone of a higher rank, to say that the report was dealt with via Ahelps. This is, as I said to Frances, to do with accountability, if I had taken France's post at face value, and locked it, then she turned out to be wrong, it would have been a rather large screw up; and it would have been my fault. So I cleaned the message, posted the specific rule related to OOC discussion, and PMed Frances that her post had been moderated. When questioned what should be done instead, I directed Frances to speak to myself or Doom, so we could confirm the issue, instead of directly posting on the thread, which can be misleading, if it is wrong. As I stated in the PMs, this sort of post can spark debates, whether it is from the moderator saying "Uh, no.", the complaintee trying to explain their character's reasoning and backstory OOCly, or the complaintant refuting the original point. It can escalate, quite logically, along any of those lines. It's the same as if someone files a report against someone in a workplace, you don't burst in yelling that they didn't do it, you go to the person in charge, and you explain to them the situation, and allow them to follow procedure.

DO's shouldn't be on station during dangerous events. They should also only be using the command channel is extreme circumstances, that's currently on trial. As for taking people out of the round, we can only perform interviews on server, and they can last up to an hour, I have had several arguements with people about that, but the point of proof still stands, if it's done on server, we can get definitive logs, and proof that they are unaltered.

You can help be reporting poor DO activities to me, whether they are actually in as DOs, or in LOOC, or anything like that.

I'm being told recently that a good few people have little to no faith in the DO team, or they think a member is biased against them, or other such things. I'm rather annoyed right now, because this is all going on in private channels, and just getting worse and worse and worse, without anyone coming to me. I would like to state that: I am not a monster. I am not going to ignore issues. I would not say I am biased against any player, given how long I have sat out of the game. I am not going to play metafriends and allow things to happen because I like the person doing it. I'm sad, and rather upset that people aren't willing to talk to me about issues they are having, I really do try to build up a good relation with players where possible, and I am one of the people who end up feeling very guilty after doing something that may have upset someone accidentally ((If it's a legitimate thing, like a valid complaint/ban request/Incident report, no such qualms, before anyone brings that up.)) I've been with the community for years, I have seen most of you join, people I knew from Apollo leave, if you have an issue with the DO team, or even with me, about other things, tell me, and they can be sorted out, I, just now, had a discussion with a player over the Byond pager, who I had wronged, and it got sorted out, issues were dealt with, problems were hashed out, and things are on the mend. I do not want anyone here to think that I am some sort of biased idiot who is just going to laugh at your problems, I'm here to help, so let me.

(I will note that Mr Giles had suffered injury earlier in the shift, partly why I was involved in medical affairs.), followed by "If I wanted to hurt her, she'd be dead right now." I intervened after Mr Giles threatened harm to Mr Franks, after which he said, "At least that proves you weren't lying", when I asked whether he could be lying, he replied with, "Because I am a proper person?" Leading the implication that I was not; when I questioned him on this, he said, "Not according to your medical records, no." Upset by this, I demanded he tell he what he had done to my records, the response was "I haven't done anything...." "...yet." Shortly after this, he stated that Akhet, the third largest population center in Sol Alliance space, "sounds like a seedy blood cult" and that I was lucky, because "there's someone here even more screwed up than you are."
