Yes, I'll be acting out Rustbucket. If it were like a pAI, I wouldn't be so certain about another player playing him. But yes, if all goes well I plan on playing him out along with Silaris.
-
Which is why I said that this is just a rough summary. Along so, if you get shot in the torso a couple times you are going to bleed out fast. If bleeding doesn't kill you, the organ damage will. Getting shot where vital organs are is no joke when certain organs support your life. Also, helpless to the point where you can't do anything thus your death from bleeding out is what I meant to say, my bad.

True. I'm just all for antags finally get a chance to put a dent in people. If you get stabbed about 5 times by an antag then left to die, you should bleed out and eventually die. I've seen people with these injuries just walk about fine and shrug off that they just got stabbed a bunch.

BYOND Key:Prospekt1559 Character name:Silaris Uaekis Item name: Silaris' old droid datachip. Why is your character carrying said item to work?TL;DR, his life on Moghes resulted in surviving in a harsh wasteland until reaching sufficient age to leave. Moving around in the wreckage he gathered parts to build himself his own companion. Background to this chip Item function(s): I'd like to push it to this. -It acts as a kit for if I put it in my PDA it changes my PDA to have features including, personal data storage (Pictures, notes, etc.) (For pictures you click on the PDA with them and it simply takes the picture uploading it to pictures in my PDA. (For my own taste it'd be nice if it had a greeting message such as "Hello, Silaris." or something like that ). I have a full understanding that this isn't the usual of what people apply for and that if this is possible it'll take a long time to code. But if possible, it'd be awesome to roleplay with, along with adding a bit of story to Silaris. -If not, then just the datachip that I can roleplay with if questions or asked or just in general since it means so much to Silaris resembling his old days back in Moghes and who accompanied him out there. Item description: A small datachip, it has a label on the front, "Rustbucket.". Item appearance:A small little black chip, that looks as if it has a piece of yellow tape on the front (a label markered "Rustbucket"). (Looks like an SD card.) Additional comments: N/A

I'm not sure what I think about this.. I don't think NT allows people who were experimented on, but I could be wrong. I don't mean to be so blatant but I'm just going to throw this in here and say, it's going to be weird seeing a male in cat ears and a tail. It's also going to highly remind me of a Furry on the day of work at NSS Aurora. It'd also be nice if you explained how the ears are stuck without removal along with the tail. Also how does this contribute to roleplay? Explain that and I will give a +1/-1. At the moment I'm kind of leaning towards, -1.

Yes, a bleeding system. I can't stress enough that characters get stabbed/cut/clawed/shot and not bleed. Of course there would be minor levels, if you get cut like clawed you bleed minorly, if you continue to get clawed you start bleeding more, etc. If you get shot with balistics (because lasers should cauterize the wound immediately) you start to bleed heavily because you got shot, duh. -Clawed results in a minor cut depending on how much you got clawed, you bleed minorly or anything that is basically sharp but not as sharp as a knife. (Claws, shards of glass, etc.) -stabbed once puts you into a medium bleeding mode, if you get stabbed multiple times you begin bleeding heavily. -Shot and you bleed heavily, losing blood quickly will quickly slower you and if you continue without treatment you eventually fall over helpless until someone comes to save you. (Gauze will slower the bleeding but not fully heal it until proper treatment.) -Major requires surgery most likely if you were shot. It's optional to take the bullet out but if you take the bullet out it won't cause any internal problems. You require the wound to be sown and bandaged -Medium requires the wound to be sown, just like Major. -Minor requires gauze/bandages only. Please leave suggestions to this below in the comments, I'm open to them as this could be improved to your likings. (Note: This is only a rough summary of what it can be.)

This game seems epic, I'm saving up to buy it. Have any of you played it yet?

Just saying, it's called Space Station 13, not winter station 13. I like the map but, I'd like to keep the space station feel that I originally started playing SS13 for. The point of the game is to keep that space feel, the hazards of breaches in space, keeping the station in tact so you don't come to your ultimate doom. That's the point of SS13, having a snow map kind of crushes the idea of the game.

You are arguing that tasers would do nothing, you know irl that if you are tased excessively it will leave a pretty nasty wound. Atleast the ones with the cables. Along with burns from electricity. It's in byond but arguing that tasers are way better for someone to abuse than a gun is a pretty false statement. If you were shot repetitively with a taser it'd do some damage not as much as a balistic firearm but it'd still do the job at really hurting you. It's not the weapon we are implementing its the everyday problem of SS13 where you have griefers come in, it's going to happen and you just have to let admins deal with it. It's the same as if the detective randomly shot someone dead. I really don't know what the problem is here with giving it a trial run...

As much as I didn't really like what the new devs did to halo 4, they took a big step in making halo 5 really fucking good. I mean it looks amazing and plays amazing. I really enjoyed the multiplayer beta for halo 5.

Yeah, just blue looks way better than blue and yellow. I don't know if that blue suit with a tie that looks like a police uniform will be the new uniform but it looks pretty damn cool.

Called it, ha.

SierraKomodo's Unathi Whitelist
Prospekt replied to SierraKomodo's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
+1 I enjoy Sierra's RP a lot. It'd be nice to RP as a Unathi with her. I look forward to RPing with you, Sierra. Also I loved RPing with you as a Tajarian Operative, good times, good times. -
I'm suggesting we have a 10 minute restart timer at the end of each round to do CCRP. I've seen that some people want this and I'm going through with suggesting this idea. Please use constructive criticism to this idea, it'd be nice to see any new suggestions to the current. I'm mainly proposing this for the sake of RP. Allowing players to know what goes on when the shift ends.

I'm starting to think that Odanu is dicklizard.. It matches the same colors as his scales... eyes... horns.. FUCK.
-
Sounds fine to me. I just wanted to suggest some rules when dealing with the .45 that would help with the "abuse" argument. 1138 had some very good ideas with this.
-
Exactly, we're not saying it's a permanent thing; just giving it a try would be good to test it out. But if majority of the community like it after the test then we keep it. Though there has to be strict rules on the ballistic firearm. Only only it to be drawn when there is absolutely nothing you can do (e.g nuke operatives firing lethals at you would be a good example on when to use it) or (A traitor is coming at you with a deadly weapon.) OR last one promise (Code red, when weapons can be drawn, you have the choice of an e carbine or your .45). Those are the rules. Anything else you use your taser that is given to you. There is no need to scrap the taser when it can be used for less lethal situations such as someone resisting arrest and sparking a man hunt.
-
It's a clear example of this idea being used and tested elsewhere, and them having shown that it doesn't work in any way like the parties suggesting said idea think. The tests there showed significant abuse and problems with this idea, and again it was one of the fastest-reverted changes I had ever seen. Our game is not dissimilar enough to ignore that. Both are Heavy RP (Not light. B12 is a HRP server). Both have similar rule sets. Both have not-dissimilar player-bases. Ignoring previously collected data when considering a change is a folly, even if the situation and environment is not exactly the same. By all means try it, but do not be surprised if the number of incident reports and complaint threads triples in a night regarding them. Ballistics as standard issue, even weak ones, have caused significant problems when they have been tested elsewhere. I do not see Aurora having any different of an experience with them at all. So why can't we have tasers as a ranged weapon and the .45 as a last resort? Just like helmets, you can keep them in bag (belt for the .45) but you can't use it unless it's code blue or red. You're allowed to use it if you life is in immediate danger but that's it. If you use it past that you'll be demoted and charged with excessive use of force and neglect of duty.
-
I like the idea of keeping a taser as a ranged weapon for a runner. But you can still have your side arm on you incase your life or another's is in immediate danger which requires to put the target down (Rubber bullets). This would be more satisfying to see, keeping both, allowing to carry both, but only using the .45 as a last resort. That's a good way to implement this to prevent abuse. Also if they use it on people who commit minor violations, they could be arrested for neglect of duty or excessive force.
-
You realize they don't have to break windows, realistically a rubber bullet round would only probably crack a window. A reinforced window it'd probably ricochet off of. For a rubber bullet to send a window into broken pieces is quite ridiculous imo. A normal bullet I understand. But then again all windows leading to space are reinforced anyways. There's also no harm giving it a shot for maybe 3 days at maximum to see if we want to keep it or scrap it. I personally think that our security team with the people I know in it, will keep to a professional level knowing that they can get thrown out if they over-use their power with holding a firearm that could still possible kill someone if you empty a mag into them. You also have to keep in mind, we're not baystation sure we might be a little bit like it, we harness their wiki and same regulations but it's a heavy rp server. I doubt anyone will abuse the fire arm unless they are totally new and when they do as a new player they simply get warned and if they do it again they can get job banned from Security. Players have to take into an account that this is still a weapon that can cause grief to another player which can send them out of the round if they aren't careful. Not only can Security handle holding such a weapon, but I'm pretty sure the admins can deal with any wrong doer blasting everyone to oblivion just because they have a weapon that breaks bones. Just because baystation didn't do too well with balistics doesn't mean we aren't doomed to fail with this. I'll say it again, we aren't bs12.

This would be amazing. I totally +1 this because of how it would be more of use than tasers. Tasers don't affect IPCs which is very troublesome against thoughs who commit crimes and decide to run. Also from my knowledge rubber bullets will stop targets faster than a taser would. If these are implemented it'd make my day, not only do they look good but they serve a better purpose than the taser which holds way less than your disposable magazine .45. +1 edit: Also if you find anyone abusing the fact that they can use rubber bullet guns or whatever. Just job ban them from Security. Simple as, that's the only problem I see happening with this.

What jamini wrote, most of the people on station treat security like shit then wonder why they are getting insulted by security. Sure security need to be a little more peaceful and ignore the idiots but some people really ask for problems on station. I've seen about half the characters rp'd on aurora not having respect for security, (e.g calling them redcoats or generally thinking they are bad people). I'm generally going to just not help anyone who insults me because I'm doing my job. Yes, even if they are in danger. I'll do this until they learn, because honestly you put a big sign on security's forehead saying "Hey I'm an insult taker machine, insert an insult today!" None the less you are recruited by a professional company, act like you would if you had a real job irl. In reality if you were going around spewing insults to everyone and their mother around station you'd be fired on the spot. Also another pet peeve of mine that is kind of off topic but links with some security officers is how you guys will literally not give two shits for a hostage during a nuke round. You do realize they are willing to put a bullet in another one of your co-worker's skull, right? Or even worse sell them to slavers which is horrible-- and yet this is a heavy rp server but I've yet to see anyone rp accordingly to fear rp of your co-worker being taken hostage and threatened with death. Think about it too, you could be the next hostage. For people who fear rp in these situations, you know who you are and I thank you. Quit treating security like shit and you won't be treated like shit, simple as. You've probably heard the phrase a thousand times, "Treat someone how you want to be treated." Also if there are duty officers on, please just fire whoever causes general drama problems with one another, it shouldn't be tolerated in a work environment. edit: sorry for sugarcoating sec, some of you need to be fired too, thank you.
