Pretty good Rper I'm giving him the thumbs up. +1 -
BYOND key:Tealseal14 Character names: Henry Melpede, George Lebedev, Arthur Huang How long have you been playing on Aurora?:Around a year and possibly a month or two more. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I'm actually trying to branch out and I feel like I have to perfect character to do that. Why did you come to Aurora?: When I first started ss13 I got really into the HRP side of it and I've never left it since Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Indeed I did, I read the wiki quite a bit in my free time. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? Two; one that's expired due to poor antag play, which I never had problem with later on, and the other one due to my naming system that I kept forgetting didn't go with the rules of the servers, but other than that nothing big or that damaging. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay in my opinion is all about geting in the mind of a character and creating a story through interaction with other characters, it's about being someone you're not and bringing and idea to life, and by doing that creating a narrative for everyone to enjoy! What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: I believe the purpose of a Head of Staff is to do all in their power to make sure the round doesn't go up in flames and that everyone has a good time playing and it just doesn't turn into a boring slog of a round. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: In my opinion the Whitelist is a privilege and responsibility that must be earned, and like in real life a holder of a privilege is held up to a higher standard than those without, which in means in the context of the Aurora a Whitelistee must be aware of the rules and knowledgeable enough ooc and ic to be able to help others. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career? After the very controversial Frost invasion and the subsequent rise of the New Republicans, leading to a loosening of restrictions on NanoTransen. Something that the Idris higher ups are not too happy about; a problem further compounded by the state of disrepair the Tau Ceti headquarters are in. The Bosses are in desperate need of an employee that has in-depth knowledge of NanoTransen to represent Idris onboard the Aurora, Henry Melpede would've been the perfect candidate for the job, he had the experience dealing with the higher ups on the station due to his job on his barista and he made friend with quite a few people there. Shame he was too young for the job. But where there's one young, happy Melpede. There's an older, more serious one around the corner. A few papers signed here and there and voila George Melpede is here to do business. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? Corporate Liaison for Idris incorporated, as my current Barista's father George Melpede. I'd like to be able to roleplay with a connection to an already established character, and I feel Icly that having the father of a jokey bartender being a complete corporate business man would be an interesting story for those that have already interacted with Henry. Other than that maybe another command role using another character but for the moment only as a liaison as Henry. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: George Melpede the father of the famed happy bartender, now the brand new face of Idris Incorporated on the station, as corporate liaison George looks to see what his smarmy son got up to onboard this station and spread Idris influence in Tau Ceti by making deals with those in NT, and hey if more people leave NT and join Idris Incorporated, that's just business. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I'd say that with the right character I can roleplay quite competently, but I'll be the first to admit that there's always room for improvement and I'm no different. But I always aim to improve for both my sake and every other player's sake. But I'm here to have fun and create interesting stories! Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? I understand completely and I like to think that I am an overall a pretty quiet player, I've never had an incident report or character complaint (I say this from the time I'm writing this, though I don't expect any anytime soon). Have you familiarize yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? Indeed I have, In fact I actually like to read the wiki in my free time, and I have studied up quite a bit on the role I'm looking to play.

Thank you for responding! As for the questions: Well I think that for a Skrell abroad, the Federation is seen as a something they're meant to represent well in-non Skrell space and that their attitude and actions abroad reflects on it them and for the sake of their reputation and sense of dignity they should act well and make the Federation proud with the quality of their work abroad. I'm pretty sure a Skrell would show it's emotions by way of it's headtails as they would see things like raising their voice as rude and extremely unbecoming, using sounds like warbles and chirrups to express emotions. I would probably make my Skrell speak in a very professional tone, sorta like a lab report, They'd probably not use contractions like ain't or betcha. I have two ideas on what on Skrell would sound like, One is that if the Skrell was very competent in Basic, it would be very monotone, another if they're grasp isn't as good, I'd like to think that due Skrellian's focus on tones that their pitch in Basic ,if they weren't too proficient, would be all over going high and low randomly. I feel like the most annoying thing about sharing dreams would be having to deal with other's getting all up in your dream creations if the Skrell were an over-sleeper. A pet peeve I could see Skrell realistically having is if they're busy doing something and they get interrupted, I'd say this is because of their culture of wanting to excel and achieve and anything getting in the way would be pretty annoying to them. -

BYOND Key: TealSeal14 Character Names: Henry Moor, Tengu Gideon, Arthur Huang, George Lebedev. Species you are applying to play: Skrell What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Dark Blue Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes I have, thoroughly. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: The reason that I wish to play a Skrell is because I want to expand my repertoire of characters I can play, and I have found that Skrell society and culture has very unique and interesting concepts that I think would be a unique and fun experience for everyone involved. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Firstly, Skrell's biology especially the psionic field and called The Wake as well as their longer life-spans, something that no human character has; leading to new opportunities for role-playing, another even more major difference is the Skrell's history and the overall amount of time the Skrell have been involved in Galactic affairs compared to humanity. Their history, especially their relation to Synthetics is in my opinion the greatest difference that a Skrell role-play is from a human on. Considering their history with Glorsh it can lead and has led to interesting interactions aboard the Aurora. Another big difference between Human role-playing and Skrell role-playing is how their societies are structured differently. The Jargon federation's focus on scientific pursuits and their focus on "Idols" is something that no human character could role-play as well as a Skrell could, another major difference is in their Kinship system that differs from the standard human-monogamous one, another concept that leads to interesting role-playing opportunities is the different concepts of friendship and rivalry that Skrell have compared to other species. Character Name: Weihun Sqliuk Please provide a short backstory for this character Hailing from the the Skrellian Frontier, also known as the Traverse, from on an early age Weihun had extensive contact with Non-Skrell shaping his world-view and his extensive interest in Non-Skrell, especially Humanity. This being egged on by his one of his Guardian's career as a diplomat for the Jargon Federation. As Weihun matured and became a member of Skrell society, he decided to further study and learn from humans by working for the largest human Corporation in the galaxy NanoTransen. Due to his studies as a scientist focusing on Xeno-Biology, especially on the study of slimes, he quickly got snatched up by NanoTransen and put aboard the Aurora to study these mysterious creatures; an opportunity he relished in quietly due to the amount of contact he was liable to have with Aliens. What do you like about this character? Something I like about this character is that he's something new and exciting that I am sure I will enjoy immensely, something I like about the character himself is that he allows me to look at humanity from a different point of view, an alien point of view. Another thing I enjoy about this character is the opportunities he provides my to expand my role-playing capabilities. How would you rate your role-playing ability? While I'll be the first to admit that I am far from the best role-player around, I like to think that throughout my time spent on SS13 and Aurora that I have been a good enough role-player that I have led to fun interactions and interesting scenarios with my fellow crew members. If I had to give myself a number I'd think it'd be a solid 7.5/10.
