  1. And who are you to say whether or not the wizard was 'lying'? How do you know that the wizard, ICly, wasn't actually going to a party and got lost? And, beyond that, did we all forget what the purpose of a head of staff on this server is supposed to be? Your job s not to lock down an antag who hasnt even done anything yet solely because he's an antag, and turn the round into extended for everyone but you and your power complex. When you take an antag and lock them in the brig - Interrogation, solitary, communal, whatever - Without any valid reason beyond 'Oh he has powers he might be a threat even though he hasn't done anything', you're for one being a dick to the player, or two abusing your power as a head of staff, and three, you're just being a plain fucking shitter. This is the kind of thing I would have ahelped, repeatedly, until it was handled by a moderator if I'd seen it, and I think you need to reconsider what the purpose of security, antags, and a head of staff is on a /heavy roleplay server/ (Or at least whats supposed to be a heavy roleplay server) is. Woah, woah. Slow down there, slugger. I think you're missing my argument entirely. I NEVER said locking down an antag and bucklecuffing them in solitary was chill. However. I don't see any extensive measures made to take the antag out of the round. The HoS was questioning them in interrogation, not dosing them with soporific and muzzling them in a welded locker. He was giving him an extensive period to explain himself, and then, stated they would be let go. The wizard's story was unfortunately unbelievable, since it was clear the wizard had battle gear. I'm not one to say if they were lying or not, but they possessed possibly dangerous and unpredictable gear, which lead to a more complex interrogation needing to be conducted, which never happened due to the (IMO) overzealous response of the insubordinates. Why the heated rhetoric?
  2. Someone has to beat this guy to the punch next week
  3. Well, given that Inis is neither a lesbian nor a furry gives me the impression you are just throwing those terms around to insult and discredit me. Nice; classy. And she doesn't have dyed hair either. I wasn't referring to your character but the trend itself, which can definitely, definitely be described as something you'd typically see an SSL doing.
  4. then the changeling choked on his nose.
  5. Alright all I wanted to say was I was not the Captain this round I was IAA. When the HoS said "Or the person who administers it" I think he was trying to correct himself because of our outburst against what he said. Also when I said ignore that order, I was trying to think about something else to say like "He is risking Nanotrasen Security by doing this" But I was afraid I was going to get it turned against me by him saying that they were security. I will admit, I may have overstepped a bit but he was not getting information out of the intruder the way he was interrogating her. I really like your playstyle; the overstepping IA agent role is one that very rarely can be done right. You did it pretty right, and it's all good and fun in-game, but now there's a complaint about this, and that's when the slightly unorthodox methods of going at things - like the overstepping IA agent things - tend to damage your credibility. Anyways, the HoS wasn't the one failing at the interrogation in my eyes. It was the cadet and IA's fault for their frequent interruptions, and the wizard's for being dishonest. This is all very common in wizard rounds. A wizard lying in an interrogation is no reason for a complaint, but neither is a HoS reacting demandingly to the lying. IT'S A DELIBERATE MORAL FEATURE OF THE ROUND TYPE. I don't see how ANY of this warrants a complaint at all.
  6. I thought I should reply because I witnessed some of the stuff the wizard was saying, and some of the stuff Halo was saying. I'm actually in some of the logs just blankly talking through a radio. I skimmed through to a random part and instantly found this. I scrolled up a bit, and realized this was just after he stated "I AM THE LAW," followed with, "Or the person who administers it." I'm pretty sure this situation would have handled itself nicely, had you guys not gone and interfered heavily with every one of his commands. I see the head of security passively interrogating a confirmed intruder - note how he's not torturing or murdering the intruder at first sight - and passively trying to escort you two (Inis and Valorallen) out when you two started to interfere. One smart move you should perform is not trying to uncuff a confirmed threat when the head of your department is in the middle of questioning them, and then blatantly disrespecting them by calling them a bloody idiot. This fashion of Space Lesbian Furry Freedom Force-esque 'I'll save you!!!' drama continues for a while, and then your Head of your department states that he needs an officer to, once again, passively escort you out. You respond to this by ordering people to disregard and ignore his orders, and call him a moron? Before he's even said "I AM AN ADMINISTRATOR OF THE LAW"? :C Basically, what I see here, is an intruder is caught on the station. What do you do when someone from another station comes by? You hold them there until a transfer comes. Then I see the typical consistent trend (commonly found in medbay) where an unknown xeno comes aboard and is suddenly loved and sympathized with by every dyed-haired person on the station and protected to the death. In my opinion, the HoS handled himself fucking excellently, given the stubbornness of seemingly everyone in the room; all hindering the process of handling the case in as little time as possible. He didn't pull a gun and start shooting rounds off at the roof, he consistently asked you calmly to leave, and brought an officer over - NOT TO SHOOT YOU ALL - but to also try to convince you to leave as well. I see a total disrespect for the head of security and chain of command in these logs, but no real incriminating evidence against the HoS. EDIT: Actually, I'm gonna' dive into the recording logs, from the real start of the recording to the moment Inis jumped to disobey orders and remove the prisoner's cuffs.
  7. Majora's a pretty damned excellent RPer and is succinctly precise with their lore toning. Definitely has my support.
  8. What is it for in your picture? You know what it is? allahu akbar Nice meme!
  9. It's got me thinking. IPC detective Nick Valentine when?
  10. I thought he was playing around too, guess not. Oh well. No point in editing my post anyway.
  11. A gleaming +1 from me. Frances has it all - humor, intelligence, max typing speeds, looks , and above all, an excellent reasoning skill. Frances is an extremely pleasant staff member and has a really good skill at solving things diplomatically. I literally can't think of a reason they're unfit for a moderator position besides people getting on them for assumptions about things, which is still fair, even if I don't agree with it.
  12. Letz Shake's left eye bursts with a wet pop!
  13. Ever think about how much more welcome you would be in hell than by anyone here Lmao
  14. I think w3bster has a great mindset on how fun is had here, and I'd be glad to see him as moderator. Staff team needs more people like him. +1
  15. I don't really understand how you can make that connection, considering that incident only happened once out of the several cases I handled in my tenure there. Have you considered that aside from that incident in which I cracked, that I otherwise did my job and I was a good mod? No? I'll go through this one point at a time. Hey, bro. Sorry to judge. I get that it's frustrating for a single crack to carry over more than all of your good moments combined. I'm sure you were great, but that's still no reason to overlook that one incident. What I meant was that if you cracked even once in a LowRP setting, what's to say it won't happen more often when we hit the turbo into HighRP? Let's say that out of every 100 cases in LowRP, five of them are stressful. For every fifth stressful event, you finally crack. You could solve 100 mod problems with only one small incident. Now, in HighRP, let's imagine that out of every 100 events, 100 are stressful, and on every fiifth, you tend to crack. That's a lot. And that's why I'm apprehensive. Colonial marines, I would presume, is a somewhat casual place where killing and death is commonplace. Things will be a lot, LOT, more complex to solve here. Consider the following. -I've stopped unnecessary selfish powergaming. -I've stopped validhunting antagonists. -I've stopped caring about what other antagonists do in a round. -I've stopped ramboing into dumb situations. -I've stopped raging at certain game modes or anyone who plays in them. -I've stopped department hopping and making terrible, 2 dimensional characters. -I've started involving people in antagonists rounds and making them noticable in some way. -I go out of my way ICly to constantly improve my playstyles and moving the goalpost after every round. If I say "Wow, I played this round like shit", then you should probably stop assuming that I'm out to grief people's rounds and that I'm actually trying to polish my antagplay. I experiment with what ways that make the round fun for people or make it total suffering. I can't possibly know what people hate unless I try it once and then never do it again. Awesome! I can admit I only hear about your actions from a choice few others. If you think you've improved, power to you. At least it goes to show that you are trying to improve, though I haven't seen the extent at which it's actually worked because I rarely see you in game. The fuck bro, I thought we were friends? Kidding. I'll touch upon the "shitty admin from archangel" spiel in a moment - what I'd like to focus on is your extreme jump to defense here. Forum behavior is exactly what I mean, and we can skip IC conduct if you think you've improved. This is a perfect example of you jumping to aggressiveness. Take a deep breath, we're both chill here, and then keep reading/typing your response. Dunno what you mean, besides my off-topic board memeing. I spout memes; don't we all? I'm not going to link your own memes from other places, because you're right - it wouldn't be fair. What I'm trying to get you to consider is not my or your memes and joking (chucklefucky if you want to call it that) behavior, but the mean stuff. Aggressiveness. More aggressive rhetoric is not what the staff needs. Unfortunately, that's not true. I was asked in LOOC by the security personnel if it would be reasonable for me to get unfairly accused for a more interesting experience. I was okay with it, and actually remained consistently passive, and mopped floors until I had to cryo. So whatever you heard ICly as captain was a lie to make the round interesting. Sorry about that miscommunication. Well, not really, since it wasn't my choice for you to take an IC accusation from an RP-rev round as fact. Okay. Guess that's the end of that, then. Why do you announce these events so much if you don't want to reflect or improve upon them later???? :/ I can assure you you have not stopped attacking people on the forums. Read fifteen words further. Now I'll admit, I judged you on your mean actions more than I judged you on your neutral ones, so it's fair for you to judge me back. However, I'm gonna defend myself too, just like you did. Can I now ask what you're talking about? I have over twenty characters. I can list them if you'd like, and then list which ones I like to scream over the radio for. Two are memes, and only one screams over the radio frequently. I have played that one twice here in my almost two years of playing - I hit the two years mark on Valentine's Day 2016. Ain't it something how doing something mean is noticed more than when you do something neutral? I think I've touched on this point earlier. Don't bring the Skype group into this, lmao. We both agreed there that we had a disposition against eachother; mine being that your forum behavior reminded me of a shitty admin that I used to know that had a rhetoric of droning on and on passive-aggressively, and mine made you angry over a player I never banned that I guess you disliked or something from another server - it's not important, as it's not my business. We're at terms with this, right? Good. I don't see much reason to crack this one open again, komrade.
  16. Happy thanksgiving from America, I have the flu but it's still a good day to be American and eat a lot of shit Post your thoughts on the Native American genocide below, or just laugh about eating turkey all day
  17. I have access to staff forums so I'm gonna' assume I have the ability to talk here. That's exactly the point, Hurtz. If his behavior is damning on a low RP server, why would he be any better on a high RP server? And no offense, komrade, as this little tidbit is really the only way I can say this nicely, but I've observed that Delta is extremely, extremely, impossibly inept to change. I have never seen Delta make an ounce of an attempt at: -self-improvement -being consistent with his announcements about personal growth/hiatus/IRL-shit -keeping an argument cordial and polite; every time I've seen, he will resort to attacking the other poster, sometimes unexpectedly and undeservingly, on his first reply into the thread that has nothing to do with him. (Feel free to evidence any of these posts which you know I might be talking about and explain your reasoning if you felt justified in them) -making rounds fun overall for other players (this is something I've witnessed you frequently guilt trip yourself about, only for you to continue doing it not much later) My problem with Delta becoming staff is because of his (no offense) rude inconsistency with just about everything. Beaming -1 from me.
  18. I've been meaning to ask you how you do that. Can you add custom verbs to your IC tab or something?
  19. http://i.imgur.com/P8MPTET.png I think it's too big.
  20. Name: Maddox Vindicus Gender: Male Trait: Gladiator Appearance: An average height, shit-grinning gladiator with pride gleaming from his oiled pectorals B-). He's got a complete head of short, dirty, dark chocolate hair in a poor attempt at an upward style off of his scalp. Wears a fitting rough-spun tunic with no sleeves over his chest, and some torn peasant trousers. Has bad quality woven bracers running from his wrists to his forearm made of his sleeve rags. A single scar starts at the lower end of his forehead, cuts through the middle of his right eyebrow, and stops at his right eye, which is a hazel-green. He is also missing his right middle finger.
  21. I say have cratey should have a random chance of spawning, in God mode, on the asteroid, during wizard rounds. A homocidal clown that was hit with a staff of change, now just a loose end, that drifted through space after the last wizard federation attack and landed near the NSS Aurora. Possibly even a reason the wizard is there; to remove the witnesses.
  22. Mark Zuckerberg is a god
  23. I don't need no guidelines. I'm a strong, independent AIDS-infected white cisgendered heterosexual male who chooses to do whatever I want regardless of whether or not I'll be harmed by my actions. Guidelines are for the peasantry. Hey, goyim, pass me a patriarchy, eh? Also, hell yes, stats seem like a great idea.
  24. Starting out strong, I like you
