Trump 100% honest about what he believes and I can kind of respect that? Other wise, Carson for Repubs and Bernie for the Dems.

Culturally enrich the station.

HRP = no antags/extended isn't true. It's the opposite. When there's an antag, there's a clear source of conflict that involves most people on the station. In extended? Hope your character already has some relationships or else you're shit out of luck with almost nothing to do. I've never had a good extended round and I think a lot of people can say the same. You can make the argument "there's conflict in extended, too". Yeah, but how serious of a conflict is it? Relationship drama isn't very interesting to anyone outside of 2-3 people. Basically, water cooler talk = HRP is dumb and not even close to being true.

Right now, grabbing sucks. There's a reason you only grab someone who's stunned, handcuffed, or knocked out/dead. Why? Because they can immediately move a tile or two away and get out of your grab. So here's my proposal: grabbing someone stops them from moving, either until you let go or they resist (like resisting out of handcuffs, you know?) their way out of it. The higher the level of grabbing (passive > aggressive > the neck), the harder it is to resist your way out.

Honestly, I think people need to learn to accept criticism better. Is criticism sometimes unwanted? Yeah, sometimes. Does that mean it's bad? Haha no not even close. I think there's a fine line between being a dick and offering valid criticism in a harsh way, and the post that got deleted didn't cross that line. This is a high roleplaying server, isn't it? People offering criticism are trying to help you get better. also has anyone even defined what a suicidal space lesbian is yet

Here's the thing - D&D fantasy wizards in robes and pointy hats wielding staffs and throwing fireballs don't mix well with science-fiction. You can argue all day about it being just as realistic as FTL, aliens, lasers and space stations, but at the end of the day those are common things in sci-fi. Gandalf isn't.

Does this mean anything, though?

I saw this guy this round and immediately knew he wasn't your average bald. Interestingly enough, Hugo was also involved!

You can't close the security department side entrance door because there's a blast door over it. The main entrance also has blast doors but lacks this issue, so it can (and should) be fixed.

why would they fire him for being old

Not surprised. I usually get something in the ballpark of this when I take this test.

Fascism (note: there are several differences between fascism and nazism, the main one being that nazis are always fucking stupid) looks nice on paper but I'd never call myself a fascist. The term carries way too much baggage with it. And to be entirely honest, you need to work on your grammar. You're not fighting the stereotype that fascists are dumb by misspelling description and capitalizing words that shouldn't be capitalized.

This is my most tried and true one. It's sure to cause a lot of groans. A ham sandwich walks into a bar and orders a drink. The barkeep says "We don't serve food here." -
I've noticed that security cyborgs don't match the current color scheme, so I recolored them in paint.net.

Hey there! I don't appreciate you taking something that I sprited (the monk robes) and not giving me credit or even asking me. Aside from that, I support this idea.

BYOND key: BotanistPower Character names: Walter Brooks How long have you been playing on Aurora?: About 2 months Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: To better coordinate security and make rounds more interesting. Why did you come to Aurora?: Roleplay. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yep. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplaying is like being a character in a story, except the story is interactive and the quality of said story heavily depends on how good the other people are at writing. Basically, roleplaying should be about telling an interesting story. I'm not going to fluff this up with a whole bunch of words, so I'll leave it at that. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: Primarily to make things interesting (especially for traitors & other antagonists), secondarily to set an example for that department, at least in terms of behavior. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Generally, to not be absolutely eye stabbingly awful at their department. Chief Engineers shouldn't be awful at construction and atmos. Captains shouldn't have much trouble coordinating large masses of people who all hate each other. Heads of Security should be fairly robust and humor antagonists. And so on, and so on. Other responsibilities, I think, are making shit interesting for their department. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Walter Brooks Character age: 47 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Walter is Earth born, having been born in New York City in 2410. Walter is fairly old - at least among the crew of the station - at 47 years old. Having a long and not so interesting career with NanoTrasen starting shortly after he graduated college, Walter has been with NT for around 21 or so years. Basically, he's way too invested to call it quits now. Walter met his wife, Judith, in 2437. They've been married ever since, having had an unspecified number of children together, somewhere between 4 and 7. Neither of them are happy and they argue like a married couple. Still, neither of them want to divorce due to their children and how long they've been married. Basically, they're both too invested in it to quit now. What do you like about this character?: Pretty fun character to play. What do you dislike about this character?: I am limited to telling dad jokes as a way of breaking the ice. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Walter's been with NanoTrasen for a long time. I think becoming a head of staff is the next logical step for the character. Or maybe his wondrous jokes have touched a NanoTrasen higher up? Who knows. The possibilities are endless. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: Pretty average. I've been roleplaying for a while but not long enough to consider myself good - that, and it's mostly been in SS13. SS13 isn't really the best environment to become a better roleplayer, but hey, look at me! Extra notes:
