After being inspired by some of the other discord-RP's that I have been in, I have decided to host a sci-fi survival based one! ---- For some reason or another, you found yourself aboard the Crystal Class Super-Cruise ship. Whether as one of the crew, a passenger, or one of the assorted riff raff and civilian workers that managed to board the ship. The first eleven weeks of the cruise featured tours of the eleven colonies. On the twelfth week, they stop on stronghold to pick up some passengers. The passengers are sent to high-class reserve luxury suites and never seen again for the rest of the trip. One day, one the final week before the cruise would begin unloading passengers to their worlds, something happens. Evacuation alarms ring around the ship, and explosions rock the hull. Suddenly, wherever you are on the ship, a blue flash envelops your vision and you awake on a planet, amid wreckage. ----- The characters will be scattered across the planet in the sections, or life pod that they went down in, they will all have a radio and will usually be alone unless some of you want to be crash landed in the same section. https://discord.gg/FdxJYbS

Not really, @skull. Their are usually enough command staff, or if their isn't, they just promote one and swipe as soon as a emergency happens.

The amount of combat cyborgs we can have is crazy. They are incredibly hard to deal with for most antags, and are basically a death sentence for merc/heist teams when their are the 3 starting drones, plus volunteers and constructed posibrains. So I am proposing a hard limit on combat cyborgs of one combat cyborg. Thoughts?

I had originally made this adminhelp because I believed Kadra'mi M'rav'ah bursting into a robotics when I had barricaded myself in there. (They were alone, with no security accompanying them.) I had been shown to have military grade explosives and EMP grenades, yet they burst in anyway. The code had also been bumped up due to other traitors violently mutinying against the station After repeatably using death nettles on them, Which were bluespace enhanced to teleport and explode lethal acid on them and yelling at them to leave or else, they continued to refuse to leave and just repaired while half ignoring me. This escalated and resulted in my death. Another note, is that I had also subverted a borg and this was announced. Anyway, I adminhelped and told ShameOnTurtles what happened and how it went down. And he went to talk to the CE to get her perspective. After a few minutes of waiting he concluded that as long as they are doing their job (Repairing), they can burst in on someone with known weapons and just ignore the antag who had already violently attacked people for trying to get into a area they barricaded. Is this ruling acceptable? Am I not understanding it all wrong? Is it alright for CEs or Engineers to burst into areas to do their job even with a violent antag their? When they use the equipment rune, they should be able to just get the robes, and not the sword, so they can wear fancy robes without getting instant arrested by security and lethals designated for them. Also, their is a cultist EVA suit - Which right now you can only dig out of the asteroid rarely, which a rune should be added to summon it.

I've played with Wilheim and big brother, while I do have to say I'm a bit apprehensive due to your time on the server, those two characters have been quite fun, and big brother especially is fun and unique. Your answers for the questions are quite thought out and explained, so I'll give you a +1.

I've had many interactions with nearly all of his characters, and their all memorable and well RP-ed. His antags are often the center of the RP, and are done very well. I think it will be very interesting to see how he will RP vaurca. +1

How would this fit into xenobotany or such? Would their be a research department added exclusively for breeding modifying fish samples?

I have really RPed with many of these char's much, but Mother and Avain bird have been pretty interesting in the antag/normal RP experiences I've had with them. I do think I've see one or two of your characters in too many different jobs, but I'm not sure about that. Anywho, You get a +1 from me.

Are their any set rules/regulations for this? Every HoS/captain/command staff seems to have a different view on how the common channel should be used. So is their any set regulations I could read?

Alright, So xenoarcheology can occasionally find talking swords, pots, coins, etc. They repeat whatever people say, but are often incoherent. Heres my idea, dunno if it's feasible: But, I think we should make them similar to Posibrains and Dionae nymphs, where if someone picks the artifact up, ghosts get a pop-up saying "Do you want to inhabit a ancient artifact? Y/N". I think it would just be cool, and bring cool research opportunities.

Yes - But every other gene tells you if you got it, without needing to plant it. You can also order exotic seed crates to speed up gene finding. And most jobs can take up a hour of gameplay to do what you want to do. These are your suggestions. If every gene will always be the same, and the machines are all merged, and nothing is ever different, then with one exotic seed crate, you could create a fast spreading vine that injects lethal amounts of chemicals into someone within twenty minutes of the shift start. That would be insane, and theirs no real reason. Most single antags (Traitors, changelings, ect,) take around a hour or so to prepare their job's shit and such to do what they want to do. And if your not a antag, you can still make whatever you want to make within one hour if you work hard at it.

I know how to do it. And to find the regent gene: All you have to do is splice on genes until the yield/endurance changes. the gene that changes those two has a almost 99% chance of being the regent gene. All this would do would making xenobotany easy mode. All this job takes is time and learning the tricks. No real need for change.

It is a pretty bad idea in my opinion too.

Character name: Grendel Northey Character age: 31 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Grendel Northey was born to average middle classed family on biesel. His father was a pharmacist and his mother was a pre-school teacher. Grendel was never the fastest, smarted, or most creative child and his parents knew that but, he was very determined. From a young age, he expressed a interest in medicine like his father. Unlike a lot of parents, his mother and father tried to expose him to many different ideas, cultures, and philosophies. His grandpa died when he was 16 due to disease and while Grendel wasn't the closest with his father, it still devastated him as he knew the disease was treatable, but his grandpa hadn't gotten proper medical care. It was at this time in his life, that he finally decided to pursue a medical career. He passed high school with above average grades and got into a decent medical school. He diligently applied himself and finally graduated near the top of his class. For the start of his career, he didn't want to work in some clinic or hospital planet side, so he applied for a internship for Nanotrasen. After three years, he was promoted to a nursing position. He was then promoted a short year later to medical doctor where he continued his work aboard the Odin, until he decided to apply for a transfer to the Exodus. What do you like about this character?: He had a fairly nice background and he is rather devoted to his work. I also am planing on making him a rather jolly sort of man. What do you dislike about this character?: He can be a bit too trusting, and often doesn't catch when people are deceiving him. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: He is a hard worker and is very devoted. I feel that his jolly nature would also help some of the more stubborn crew to follow his orders that other, more forceful heads of staff wouldn't be able to convince. Vaurca are ported. you can play the race. They have most of their features, but one or two seem to be faulty.

I do have some problems with how she plays anomalist, such as destroying the xenoarcheology artifacts in order to see if their is a anomaly more quickly, but most of the RP I've had with their characters has been positive so... I will give this a +1.
