Well, I think it should be that the Revolution Heads can coordinate with each other in a sure way, but any of the other Mutineers are unable to know who is part of the revolution or not.
-
Yeah, that would be a really cool thing to add. At the moment I am pretty sure that the only thing that is about Atlas on the forums right now is just telling us how many seats it has in the Sol Alliance. So yeah, that would be something I would like.

Hmm... I don't really know your roleplay ability as you always have a random character. Because of that I am not sure if I would be able to +1 or -1 you. I have a suggestion that may get your more support. I think you should just create a single character and put his name on your list so we have a character to judge your roleplay off of. But until I can see how well you can handle yourself, I am going to not give this application a vote.

I honestly don't get why we have three different gamemodes that basically all are gamemodes where people revolt. But anyways I think removing the markers for the people who aren't head revs would be good.

I still would rather it be a handheld thing and can fit in your pocket. I like the whole idea of it being destroyed by an EMP. Volume, I would rather it work like whispers do. The encryption key seems like something that would be too hard for people to realize that you have a machine. I would want it to be noticeable if not rather obvious. I like the idea of it being able to be removed from a person easily so there is a good way to counter them.

Yeah, that would be a good thing. I think it would probably add more to the rounds instead of make the people angry at the Captain and then call the shuttle right after.

Elyra News Network “For Greatness, We Strive” An Uproar Among the Masses 12.20.2457 An Uproar Among the Masses Ever since Prime Minister Tatenda gave his speech yesterday afternoon there has been waves of backlash coming from the rural areas of Medina and Persepolis, while tensions are still high between the Elyran citizens in the cities and the Elyran citizens in the outlying towns and villages things seem to be cooling off since Minister of Diplomatic Affairs, Andile Nabil released an article saying that all of the uproar was for nothing and that the Prime Minister is not trying to punish the rural dwellers, Nabil said that it was a misunderstanding and Minister Tatenda is truly trying to do what is best for Elyra and her people. An ENN reporter had the chance to interview Nabil only getting this from them, “No, it isn’t that… It isn’t that we are trying to take away the people’s religion. It is that we are trying to teach the people to be more accepting to each other’s beliefs. There really is no reason for the uproar, we are all Elyran here aren’t we?” Small Skirmish Against Nanotrasen Just a little while ago, Daniyah Latifah, Minister of the Navy announced the outcomes of a small skirmish on the Republic’s outskirts. The Minister’s report said that Elyran Military Vessels harassed a small group of Nanotrasen trade ships that called in support from a NMV in the area, the outcome of the skirmish was a victory on our part. Minister Latifah had no comments when we attempted to interview them about our relations with Nanotrasen. Inferno on Bursa Just this morning, there was an explosion of a power plant on Bursa, many casualties have been reported and even more injured. The local fire squads have spent all morning trying to calm the blaze. Authorities will most likely not be able to investigate the cause of the blast until later tonight or early tomorrow. The rest of the article is uninteresting news about celebrities and ads about household items.

Elyra News Network “For Greatness, We Strive” Call For Tolerance? 12.19.2457 Call For Tolerance? After the recent burst of violence between religious groups on Persepolis, Prime Minister, Rasheed Tatenda had a live speech at 12:00 PM today. During the speech he said, “Even though the progress that we, people of Elyra have made towards completer religious tolerance, the smaller towns outside our beautiful cities have not yet taken to the ways of peace and tolerance. They still squabble about who it is they worship and how they worship them. As I am sure you are all aware, these bickerings have been going on since before we even founded this Serene Republic, but we have let them continue nevertheless as they were causing little harm. But things have changed. On December 18, 2457, riots broke out across the rural regions of Persepolis. Luckily few were wounded as authorities put a stop to it right away. But this… This is something that can lead us to collapse on ourselves. So I ask you, dear Elyran, put aside your differences so we can focus our power on making our nation greater than it has ever been.” The reporter carries on speaking after showing the recording of Prime Minister: Rasheed Tatenda giving his speech. High Parliament Action The High Parliament is said to be in the foreseeable future, voting on having religious tolerance and Secularism be a mandatory thing taught in areas where there is high religious tolerance. The bill has been sent up through the planetary parliaments on most of the Elyran planets. Many hope for it to be passed. More on that in the coming weeks. The rest of the page is just useless information about the economy and local events.

Yeah, but I'm not exactly comfortable with that, given that the more beneficial implants are way harder to counter and it seems to unintentionally pave the way for cybernetics. Sonic imprinter sensors are intended to be just like any other utility device you can carry that have vulnerabilities of their own. They could be EMP'd (in which they would literally asplode harmlessly, but you lose an sonic imprinter sensor), they could be stolen/mugged from their carrier. And so on. Once you lose that utility, you'd be hard-pressed to get it replaced. Xeno antagonists in particular would need to be very careful about their words in present company. And Skull, the name is actually just a reference to the device in KOTOR2, in which it's not only stylized as a device that can record and playback voices, it would also double as a xeno translator. Which was the protagonist's excuse for being able to converse with all of the aliens that do not speak Basic by default. Alright, I am liking this the most right now. I was thinking that it would be small enough to fit in your pocket and it would be hard to detect unless someone is right next to you and can hear the machine telling you what the other species were saying. But honestly I think that any version of this idea would be a cool one so you can understand what other races are saying now.

I know this is off topic about what everyone was talking about, but I was thinking about fleshing out the frontier factions and giving them more substance. I know of the Eridani Federation and the Republic of Elrya but I was wondering if there are any more small factions like that. I am not really sure where I am going with this but I would just find it cool to have things like those fleshed out.

I have seen Rafee around for a while now. He doesn't seem like a too over the top character at least from what I can tell. But yes what SilverTalisman said, you backstory seems very short to what I feel would be enough for a whitelist. Once you get that fixed you will get a +1 from me.

AEWorthy's Head of Staff Whitelist Application
Owen replied to AEWorthy's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I do not believe that I have played with any of their characters but the Application is well written, I feel like they would be alright to try out a Head of Staff whitelist. +1 for now. Good luck! -

I really only recognize Alexander Simmons but all of my interactions with Alexander have been good ones. Definitely deserves that Head of Staff whitelist. +1 for me -
Cobracoco007 Dionea Application V1
Owen replied to cobracoco007's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
From what I can tell when I have RPd with Cobracoco's characters is that he knows what is going on and how to act. His characters are nicely designed, I would feel comfortable if he got the Dionae whitelist. Also the more walking trees the better +1 from me -
They are an amazing roleplayer and I have had great experiences with many of their characters. I feel like they will fit just fine having a Vaurca whitelist. +1 from me!

I checked out the Dionae lore page again and it you seemed to have fixed all of the issues that people brought up. I like the new Dionae lore and I feel like we are going to be getting some more interesting characters now.

I don't think that it would get rid of the point of having species language. I mean if they were made to be incredibly difficult to obtain or maybe you have to have a certain job to have it. But I don't think that they would be wide-spread and easy to get.
-
If I was going to use it I would prefer that it would be like a whisper coming from the character so that people only on the tiles next to them would here it. I really don't want the whole room hearing everything repeated. Maybe it can be like the players farther away hear a small buzzing noise.

Seems like a neat idea but, would it play to everyone near the recorder or just the person holding the device?
-
Yeah, I don't see why they couldn't be made into accessories. Seems like a pretty solid idea.

Brayce's Head of Staff Application
Owen replied to Brayce's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I fully support Brayce's application mostly because of his Engineer Oliver Roadman. He is one of the most recognizable engineers for me and he seems to be a good roleplayer from what I can tell. I would enjoy seeing him in a Head of Staff position. -
Seon-rin Von Illdenberg what do you think of her.
Owen replied to MetaphysicalPersona's topic in Character Stories
I thought that Seon-rin Von Illdenberg was supposed to tone down her behavior after she had that medicine prescribed to her to make her less hostile towards crewmembers. Not sure if I read that DO update correctly but that was my take on it.
