  1. BYOND Key: Ordessa Player Byond Key: The flying banana gaming Staff involved: None. Reason for complaint: This isn't so much as a complaint as a appeal to the player him/herself, but I'm complaining about what is (from what I can see) an experienced player consistently taking important and difficult roles and playing them less than well. This seemed the most appropiate forum to place this in. (feel free to move it if its not) Approximate Date/Time: Bout 8:00 Gmt, 12/02/2016 Just a quick point before we start, I am not trying to insult you or your playstyle, I don't mean this in a harsh way, I just want you to know, so you can enjoy this server more. First off, please, take a little more time with your sentences. Sometimes it gets that people have literally no idea what you are saying. (I know it's you because literally every character you make is called Michall Prevatt/Privatt. Second of all, and more importantly don't take up highly important roles if you haven't had practice with basic game mechanics. Im particularly referring to this round I put on the timestamp, where as the only surviving ERT, you talked almost solely on the Supply Channel. Upon the AI asking you for orders, you replied https://gyazo.com/f67f739284013de06e9ea0afde88d454 and then returned to your station. This isn't the only time you've made some questionable decisions (such as insulting the rest of us on Newcops, that we were being mean to you and pushed you off the shuttle, even though we specifically told you don't go out without a jetpack, and I'm pretty sure you just got moved around by people swapping positions). So just please, I advise you to have a bit of practice before you play Antag/Ert. Once again, this is not meant as a personal attack, I just want you to take this advice into account.
  2. Is that a compliment or a insult? As in, that's how you roleplay badly, or how you do roleplay?
  3. RP wise, everything I've seen is good. But the fact that at least two (that I know of) of your characters have flavor texts describing the size of the chesticles, and their viscosity/tendency to bounce, I dunno, it puts me off. If it weren't for the breast thing, I would say you were perfectly suited for a whitelist. What I have seen of Gizro is great, but I don't recognize any other characters.
  4. Every character I've seen him play fits perfectly in with the lore and role-plays pretty much without error, and creates situations for others to roleplay fittingly. To be honest I'm surprised at this point he hasn't got ALL the whitelists. So uh, +1 and all that.
  5. Only if we get special snowflakes bitching about decaf coffee not being available, gotta have muh immershun
  6. (I am going to be using this as a lore basis for custom sprite applications. I'm essentially creating a company with which to roleplay all my borgs and AI as made by them. I could have posted this in lore canonization or copy and pasted it for each custom sprite, but I wanted to see everyone's opinion on this. So feel free to leave some constructive criticism. Or dont, and hurl abuse at me. I dont mind. Too much) Greetings extraordinarily wealthy consumers! 7. Pretty simple really, despite in their lore living a few centuries, they cannot be set as older than 85. Which is kind of annoying. So, let Skrell have their age set to anything up to 400.
  8. Here's something I haven't seen suggested anywhere. Keep in mind although my whitelist has been accepted the server hasn't updated it yet so I'm stuck with humans and AI. Thermal vision. It's something that very rarely get used AND fits thematically with the amphibious lizard frog people that the Skrell are in essence. Or perhaps even vision that works with a wider range of light? I'm thinking having objects set as light sources only for Skrell players such as plasma or something. I have literally no idea if this would be possible to code, but it's really just conjecture. I do like the idea of toggleable bio-luminessence or emotions changing their color, would make for some interesting RP situations. But this is just my thoughts. In terms of what I like about the Skrell, I love the way they talk. Please do not take that away. EDIT: I mean the logical vocabulary that drops unnecessary words. Not the sshhh. Not shhure about that.
  9. Pretty much what Serveris said. I've only ever seen ESRA and Centurion, but they roleplayed well and created good opportunities for other players. So uh, +1 and all that.
  10. Thanks for the reply! I wouldn't say I'm that new, I've been here for 2-3 months. However I don't have time to play a lot of the time, and when I do, I just select a random name and job and get stuck in quickly. Apart from Charles, this will be my first proper character with a backstory and skillset. I don't mind waiting though, so in the meantime, I'll be revising Mordin Solus lines.
  11. While I only recognize one character he's played, Stamos has certainly created an interesting role-play environment and create great opportunities for others to roleplay with him. So uh, yeah. Vaurcarise him already
  12. BYOND Key:Ordessa Character Names: Charles Von Hidenburg, Enrique McDonohugh, AI's such as I.O.N, QUARK and Fish Species you are applying to play:Skrell What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt):Pale Red Have you read our lore section's page on this species?:Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I want to play as Skrell because I feel they are such an underrepresented species on Aurora. The anti theistic views and their extreme logical tendencies could create some interesting RP situations for other players (think convincing a Skrell of that something is logical in order to get it (potentially asexual pronouns) to do something. I also find it fun to play as something different, and would like a reason to RP with extreme logical tendencies. (the reason I play Borg's and AI a lot) Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Soft foods, slightly stunted conversation skills, lacking words, nonessential ones mostly, like this sentence. Require a specific hard-suit helmet from EVA storage, just generally don't wear headgear if it isn't essential Character Name:Arkhaes Va Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Born into a councilors family on Jargon IV Arkhaes was raised to have a deep understanding of the politics of the galaxy. His father wished for him to one day take over his position of councilor to a country of Jargon IV. He studied basic scientific knowledge as all Skrell do, then moved to political education. He disliked this path, as his logical mind viewed politics as an inferior pursuit compared to scientific matters. Tiring of this education, the Skrell eventually shifted to a medical profession, being fascinated by biology. After training for some time, he moved to dionea biology and eventually over one century became an expert in their psychology and conscience. Not satisfied with this knowledge, he wishes to expand to humans, and after training under a human surgeon operating a clinic in a station orbiting Proxima Centauri looks to further this knowledge by immersing himself in a mostly human work environment, so he may gather information for his research into human physiology and psychology. What do you like about this character? I like his dedication to his profession, and his endless pursuit of knowledge. How would you rate your role-playing ability?8/10
