How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Hard to say but Aurora was the first server I joined when I started playing and I think I stuck around trying to figure out medical for a month or two, then came back as an engineer.
Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Really just to play Chief Engineer.
Why did you come to Aurora?: Originally because the server had people in it, came back because fast-paced LRP is fun and all but so is real RP and storytelling.
Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes
Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? Not really, I think a couple of admins got onto me a few times when I first started playing for various faux pas, e.g. accidentally bludgeoning a patient with surgery tools and injecting morphine into myself.

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.*

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Working together to create a sort of interactive story. I'm not entirely sure what's meant by what it's "about" since to me those two are pretty much the same. I guess it's about having a good time while contributing to that story.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: To direct their respective departments and occasionally teach newer players.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I would assume the main OOC responsibility of trusted players would just be acting responsibly, upholding rules, acting as role models of sorts, and having a decent understanding of how their jobs are played.

*I'm not exactly sure how to drag these out for five sentences each, they seem like very straightforward questions with straightforward answers to me.

Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career?

"The independence thing? No, not really. I haven't been back to Venus since shipping off to HPEI years back. I get the feeling I'd be stuck there if I did; family's still pissed off that I didn't come home to help. Can't say I miss the smell of rotten eggs all that much, as long as I'm out here I can use pain-in-the-ass travel customs as an excuse to stay."

Have you familiarize yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?: For CE, sure. I don't really play other heads but I can read those too if I need to.

Extra notes: So far, engineering is my favorite department. I'm well-acquainted with the station's systems and have saved SM engines from some of the hottest, face meltingest, tritium fusingest delams. I enjoy teaching newer players the ins and outs of how everything works so I feel I'm a pretty good Chief. Disregard my less successful time as an MD. RIP hemostat bludgeoning victim, I tried my best.

I recently played a round with you, and I don't think I can support the application. There's nothing wrong with you or the way you played, but it felt like you were very new, and not ready to be a CE yet. So I'll go ahead and give you a -1, though I do hope you'll stick with the server and apply at a later time.

A round earlier today. I tend not to say much in OOC unless I need to. I wish more people kept it that way because all the chatter sometimes makes it difficult to see what's happening or what's being said.

Going to say this honestly, theres a few issues.

1. Activity, you have played for less then a week, the other playtime was back in June-July and was for a listed 2-3 weeks before you stopped playing, only coming back this month.

2. Anne McLafferty is apparantly icly a CE on a station that doesnt exist outside another server and apparantly has a skillset of a CE from that server.

All in all, I feel you should stick around actively for awhile before applying

Have gathering feedback from this thread, and taking in consideration your activity and time you have been around, we have decided to deny this application for now. Our main issues was your acitivity, you are free to re-apply after playing a bit more on the server. Application denied.
