Fortport
I think this is dumb. You don't get overweight immediately after eating a big meal. Instead, you feel bloated. Because of all the flood sloshing around in your gut, you might go a little slower because of discomfort and so on. "He/She is quite chubby" could be replaced with "He/She seems bloated" and they could just go a little slower, in short. Edited June 2, 2019 by Fortport Link to comment
GreenBoi
Chubby doesn't mean overweight, it just means slightly fat or looking fat, which happens when you stuff a lot into your stomach. I've looked a bit fat when skinny from just eating too much in one sitting. Also, bloated means the same thing in this context sooooo....... no Link to comment

If you eat a lot, you're not going to get pudgy. Link to comment
Pratepresidenten
I have to agree with OP here. And chubby does most definately mean overweight. Fat all over, not just a stuffed gut. Looking bloated would be much better in describing overeating. Link to comment
