Fortport Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Can we get the blue beret, denoted below, in black? It can have a bright, blue security insignia on it. This way it matches the corporate set in an alternative way. We have blue and navy berets with silver or white insignias. I feel like this would be a cool, additional option.
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Wearing all black is tacky... The beret Zaza/headear of sec currently displays their department color too. -1

That's just more of the same by putting a beret on top of that. "Black is tacky" is an opinion, not a fact, you know! Nevermind how you could wear accessories and badges on top of what you have.
Alberyk Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 No. Security has enough snowflake alternate uniforms. Voting for dismissal.

AmoryBlaine Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 I'm gonna be changing that beret you have there. We already have a blue one and it's more in-line with Security's blue. So, I'll likely make this one darker, or something.

AmoryBlaine Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 It likely won't be actually black. Black Sec is not something I think many people want to see because of the connotations it carries. We'll see, though.

Also, you usually don't see Doctors, or Scientists wearing hats.
AmoryBlaine Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Security has two uniforms. Well, three. But the blue and white uniforms are essentially the same aesthetic but to break up the monotony. So really it's the 'professional' uniforms- blue and white, and the tactical uniform- black. If anyone tries to tell me the corporate uniform is formal, I'll beat you up.

I personally do not want to see more Security uniforms. Completing pre-existing sets is different, so I could get down with a new beret for the corporate security set.
Brutishcrab51 Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Well nowadays yeah. I don't see Cargo having to wear their uniforms if they don't choose to, and Service has no established uniform. Engineering often wears what it likes, Command takes a note from their departments in-terms of dress code. Security has to wear their uniforms or they'll get charged.
KingOfThePing Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Okay, I noticed I sound quite rude, that was not intended. What I wanted to say is: Yes, security's uniform policy is more strictly enforced (depending on the Head of Staff, if any is present though) but they are already compensated that they have the most choices of (enforced) uniforms. I, by the way, would not mind to add this simple suggestion like a black beret.
