I'm not against adding to the list my only question is.

Who is this inspector?

Because I find it very hard to believe that an IAA or Inspector can walk up to the warden and say "I know you have done your inventory. But I would like to do it for myself as well." In one of the most high secure sections of the station. Effectively stepping on the job of the warden/HoS and alluding to the idea they cannot reliably count as high as 7 by themselves or to manage to keep record of weapons issued which is their job.

Initial inventory accounts for the warden. Maybe. But an external inspector I find hard to buy.

I'd like to suggest an Internal Affairs form, since the current one is for the station as a whole, I made one for an individual person.

Form 0208
Internal Affairs Individual Assessment

Notable Actions:
[field]
General Opinion of the Assessed:
[field]
IAA/Head of Staff(s)/Captain's Stamps[/small]

This is mostly for reviewing someone who may be considered, incompetent. Supervisor of the Assessed refers to the Head of Staff (Obvs) General Opinion of the Assessed is determined by interviewing staff who work in close proximity to the person being investigated, and asking about the Assessed. Usually this would be someone from their own department, although it can overlap.

Head of Security, IAA, Captain, and external CentComm officials are considered to be valid "inspectors". It's not a specific position, it's simply whomever decided to check it, provided their rank is sufficient.

> Weapons testing. Yes with a few changes. Sec Warden/HoS sign off.

> Requisitions. Nope. We have a general in the 1000 branch. I am getting ready to cull the chem req off the current list only leaving the general and armoury ones otherwise we will have up to 15 separate ones where one can cover it.

> Prototype storage I don't quite understand the need for. Please give an explanation if you want me to look further into it. Science has a notable lack of storage for dangerous or high value things. Aside from making some tables in toxins storage to keep the lab interns hands off things. Science cannot even place boards and engineering gear in tech storage despite that they can make 90% of its contents.

Sure, that works.

I was either thinking putting them into the isolation chambers on the outpost for things such as weapon prototypes, or maybe getting the RD or Roboticist to place them in Tech Storage.

> Bluespace mapping. Yes. But I may want to reorganize the order/change a few odds and ends.

Sure, what do you have in mind?

Link to comment

Science has toxins storage and the isochambers. Engineering has tech storage, and secure storage. Security has the armoury. Cargo has the warehouse. Medical has the equipment storeroom.

While the isochambers are good for artifacts they are still pretty much open access to any scientist, while advanced engineering gear and weapons have high security areas to store them properly. The main point being for storage, it is not exactly safe for the higher risk items that you would want to store safely.

As for mapping I have no idea yet, still need to look into it more.

Internal Affairs are loyalty implanted, if they were to steal anything, the player should be banned. Also, the IA would only check the armory counts to make sure the Warden hasn't pulled a fast one. Because let's face it, a non-loyalty implanted Warden can falsely count the armory to help with any traitor objective they might have.

Link to comment

It is less about an IAA stealing things and more in that he is a liaison for the company as a whole, NOT command, NOT a head of staff, NOT a member of security. Assuming traitorship of a staff member they have hired to manage a secure armoury on the basis of not being implanted is if not very bloody close to metagaming.

Three people alone have access to the armoury, The warden, the HoS and the captain. If you cannot trust the warden to manage counting the weapons or that the two other loyalty implanted crew with access cannot manage if for an IAA who has reasonable suspicions, then there is a serious problem.

An IAA has no need to be in the armoury, we do not send them up to the telecomms satt every blackout or into every other restricted area to /check/ or /investigate/ We have a security team, a detective and a CSI to check every threat and investigate when needed.

This is the last time I am going to make a post on rejecting this form unless a proper issue is raised. I am managing this as part of the form team working with the new SOP. And the very concept of this form I find as poor practice for any company to have a specific registered form because they do not trust any warden not to pull a fast one on the company. If you wish to bring this up with the SOP team to change this issue you may. I do not expect a different result from them.

Here's the forms I've made during my time as a FTech. Case file reports- Generally, there should be one pertaining to each case you do, and evidence reports, which, if you do your job right, should be amassed into the double digits by the end of a productive shift. Also, I'm god-awfully organized with my work in game. Here's the templates if anyone wants them:

Case File Report:

Case File Report

[small]Case Name/Number:[field][br]
Date/time of Initial Report:[field][br]
Final Notes:[field][br]

Final Notes:[field][br]
Name of Reporting Investigator:[field][br]
Signature of Reporting Investigator:[field][br][/small]

I'll offer filled versions of both just as an example here:

Case File Report

Case Name/Number: 001 - Locker room murder

Date/time of Initial Report: 13:43 Station Time

Incident Details: Security officers were called to the scene early into an afternoon shift on NSS Aurora. Upon arrival, the janitor was found deceased in the arrivals locker rooms. Witnesses Joe and Suzy both reported a man with green hair fleeing the scene as they arrived.

Evidence Acquired: On-scene evidence collection amassed into reports 1A through 1H.

Evidence Examination Reports: See attached files below

Conclusion From Evidence: Through extensive examination, interviewing and investigation, the murderer has been identified and convicted as Jane Doe, Assistant.

Final Notes:N/A

Name of Reporting Investigator: Dr. Reanne Strafford

Signature of Reporting Investigator: Dr. Reanne Strafford

Evidence Report

[small]Date/Time of report filing:15:32 Station Time

Initial location of evidence:Locker Room Floor Blood-splatter

Picture labels, if applicable:(The attached numbers or labels of pictures, if any were taken)

Processing results: Blood was found to have belonged to the murder victim after DNA Analysis report was made. See attached file.

Observations: Slightly coagulated upon arrival, suggesting that the murder had taken place between 10 and 20 minutes of investigative arrival.

Conclusion: None reached at this time, asides from the blood source. See further evidence files for details.

Final Notes: This is going to be a long case, boys. Get to it.

Been a while since I posted here. I have an update for all the suggested forms to the official guide by the end of January. Got an Idea we don't have get it posted in here before the 10th of Jan so it can be considered. New ones after that date will most likely be put into the next update when and if it is needed. As for outstanding points

Drew. Yep and Yep adding Jboy2000000's infirmary set to the list and a section for additional equipment and merge it into one.

Jennalele. We already have a case report so I think some slight amendments to both so they merge is the best course. Second one yes.

Xander Yes. I may need to tweak it or have a chat will the SoP Dev team on our fines plans for that update. Even if it is going to get dropped I will probably toss it in a temp zone on the guide.

K0NFL1QT. Yes. May change the name of it. But the concept of it for things like away team events or some other call out to a high loss risk area. I like it a lot.

Jackboot

Assessment. Yes. Complaint. Merge with current. [under command 01XX series given they are an NT Rep and not security.] Receipt. We already have the 10XX series for general requests which are often filled at that moment and crates have supply manifests within that are supposed to be signed and stamped by the recipients then the empty crates sent back with the manifest inside. So this may be a little redundant for an official form. Weapons permit Yes slight rephrase so it adds part of the bartender's permit wording to it but mostly unchanged. Mine inventory. How is this new one different that the mining yield declaration?

Jboy2000000. Yes. Yes, and Yes. Probably add a notes section to at least the implant one. Given there may be special circumstances that ICly NT would need to take in some short period of time such as removal.

As for where the latest versions are coming out at the moment. And not on the google doc Formatted by FFrances as that is/was? The finalized and formatted copy of our working google doc. So to keep up to date on my latest works use this link.
