Sheeplets Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 (edited) Seriously, it's great to be able to pull the window off to the side and not worry about losing your vitals or conditions in the text crawl during high stress situations. Half of the time I skim a scan and then move onto bleeding control and have to spend the better part of my golden years scrolling back up to read the rest, or spam with my scanner to keep it in view. Anything like this that helps separate relevant information from the background noise would be incredibly helpful. Edited January 6, 2021 by UncleJo
Bear Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 God please. When the chat scrolls, rescanning is such a pain when they're FLATLINING. +1
Sparky_hotdog Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 I honestly can't say this is a good idea. VueUI is great where there's interaction, but for something that is literally reading, the extra window would just get in the way imho. On top of that, the current system forcing a rescan isn't a bad thing. Often more than one doctor has been treating someone, or chemicals are in their system, so updating your information is vital.
PoZe Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 (edited) I have implemented this idea in the PR https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/10912 As per maintainers suggestion/request this will be a mode option per scanner with default to chat output. But people who want this to be a window UI can change it inside of "Object" tab using "Switch health scanner output" verb. This way both sides will be happy. Here is the demo. (Out of date a bit, body temperature is no longer entirely green color). The only issue people bring up is that green is hard to read here. Edited January 7, 2021 by PoZe
