Item description: This is a cape in the style of Dominian nobility. This one is in the colours of House Godard.

Why is your character bringing this item to work?: Dominians love to take their flashy capes to the station, and Pierre is not the exception. He currently wears the House Volvalaad cape, as his house is affiliated, however, the future and arc I have planned for the character might change this, and I thought adding his own, custom house cape would be good.

How did your character obtain this item: As part of member of the House Godard, the capes have been produced probably at a Ma'zal sweatshop  for their use.

What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell?: Pierre is a character that greatly values his traditions and takes pride in his family name. Wearing his own family cape, and not the House he is affiliated with, shows a higher degree of autonomy of the Godards. As I've mentioned before, I plan to make the House likely change its relation with the Volvalaad (something like an amicable split, nothing violent or of that nature), so this would help me convey that storyline.

Sprites: I attached the dmis. It was my first time using dreammaker, so bear with me.

Additional Comments: I would actually like if anyone else wanted to join the Godard house, as long as I get informed first and we OOCly discuss the lore. As whether or not this is lore-friendly, Schwann has told me particular, smaller houses would have their own colors, and suggested a custom item like this would be acceptable. I tried to go with a shade of pink that makes it fairly distinguishable from the Caladius colors.

i like this. godard talks a lot about his house IC'ly and it'd be cool to see a more tangible representation of whatever influence house godard has

Interacted with Pierre in one round, he was very active - and I think the cape would give him more distinction

Not to be a downer here, but this seems like the kind of thing that could start a precedent for OC Dominian house cape custom item requests. Wouldn't a more elegant solution for something like this be something like implementing a recolourable stripe on the generic Dominian cape loadout item, along with a customisable name and description field?

While I enjoy the concept, I also worry for a precedent in how we may have a large variety of OC capes. I believe the idea posed above by @Omicega would be a fine solution. Moreover, I think that the sprite of the existing cape is very similar to the existing Caladius cape, and may not be easily distinguishable at a glance to some players.

I can see what you mean and I would not mind that solution, in fact, I'd favor it; however, it seems that most primaries on the server are  from the big houses (they share the last name). I've browsed the forums and in all these years I couldn't see a custom Dominian cape asked, so I don't know if there's even a demand for such besides mine.

I've given it a bit of thought and although I tried to make it easy to be able to tell apart from Caladius colors, if they're still really too similar I guess I could change it to a tone of green.

Okay, so DasFox helped me convey what I wanted. It's a custom cape with the green house colors and in white, to fit better the profesion of doctor. It also has a golden neck to symbolize his new status as count.
