From what I learned from fairly recently especially during large scale canon event rounds, Heads of Staff are major players in not only standard rounds but they have major sway on storytelling and escalation given anytime of the day, their authority within their department to give orders, organize things and coordinate the crew gives players tools to accommodate things within rounds as part of storytelling not just for antagonists but for real major consequences that could happen to the Horizon based on their decisions. - while a lot of rounds may move along just fine on its own without much head of staff, they are integral roles within the game that help bring cohesiveness in a department and provide roleplaying opportunities to individual and groups of players within their department What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them? While a lot of Head of Staff Whitelisted players often delegate tasks to their department staff, careful game knowledge and being able to teach new players should be a skill on hand of every department head, as being the supervisor of their field, they should have applicable game knowledge that allows them to be competent in their role, not just in mechanics but in communications, coordination and leadership. 3. There is much I cannot say that is not already posted on this thread - Broadsword from the many shifts I've spent with them and observed them in is active, and competent as a character in command but also from a player perspective of just decent to good roleplay. With active members of the community endorsing him and the lack of sour comments about his command play, its safe to say he has good prospects of passing the trial. +1
  4. I have no idea what this is used for but I sometimes play command so I guess I should have access to it (?)
  5. I know of DasFox as I see them on OOC on occassion, but while their current active characters I don't recognize besides Aurelia and Kazima, from the most recent memories, despite the text found in the second question, I have had no negative experience with this player whatsoever. At the very least, their recent rounds show them to be competent with enough sense and game knowledge to play a department head paired with good Roleplay ( although Kazima can be described as a brickwall @.@ ) I think the app is worth +1 for atleast a trial
  6. +1 Experienced them as an RD, - Limette is an active member of the community and also a stellar person to RP with, that is always being inventive with the characters they play, whether through events, extended or antag rounds. Tsisiana is a valid candidate for command I believe and I'm quite sure they are competent in their roles within the game.
  7. This is best answered by someone in the lore team, but generally it depends much on each Solarian wildlands state/warlord - people who enlist in the Solarian navy occupied by one of the warlord states will likely be enrolled into that military, - It wouldn't be remiss to say the SSMD gets a new batch of recruits from Visegrad, or there's always enlisted looking for money or adventure aboard the FSF. - meanwhile I'm pretty sure the SRF just forcefully conscripts people if they need or want to. Whether or not they also have the capability to train these new sailors, marines, ect. Is up for debate.
  8. Attended a round with Sadaar as my RD - they were active and communicative with Command matters, and is generally a good addition to the team. - I wasn't quite sure if all of command was busy that round, due to the traitor gimmick, but it falls ultimately on all command staff I think to inform the ship of any on-going situations. other than that, I think its a good +1
  9. So, I have had a round with my first captain, and we had a merc gimmick which involved peace talks with an SFA crew, Rusty's RD, was quite enjoyable, active, communicated well, and a good addition to the command team while I was captain as Michiko Kirishima. +1
  10. I played with Cone extensively the few times they were active in my timezone - they are good at what they do especially with the departments they plan to oversee, I give them a +1 for a trial
  11. I would disagree with this comment - there have been iconic Z.I's, people just don't largely play them like Idris units, or can easily fall into this stereotype, I do not agree with their removal, but a reworking something for improvement is always welcome.
  12. Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): - Planet Lore, Education Short Description: These are what I believe are the most important paragraphs from the google document I wrote, these snippets describe what the Pioneers are and they're relationship with Zavodskoi Interstellar Pluto’s extracurricular activities for children and young adults - most outsiders believe it to be a simple way for the socialist administration to implement a mass youth program for ideological indoctrination, propaganda, and a tool for public image. In actuality the Youth’s Interstellar Pioneer Program, which is referred to by its abbreviated, historical name as the Pioneer’s - is a state organization that opens up an easy way for children among the state to experience apprenticeships at an early age. Children of the state would be enrolled to a soviet style scouting activity - which acted as optional education that provided practical skills in various fields of profession and social cooperation. Zavodskoi Interstellar, beside from the Commissariat itself, is one of the groups that provide the most funding to the organization, Pioneer’s often and most likely will seek employment within the company, or if performance is above average and if exceptional, will be scouted and offered contracts to work in the company, planetside or abroad - denoting that they help represent the workforce of a strong Plutonian union. Like for those who live in the Soviet Union on Earth, employment within Zavodskoi helps the likelihood of being able to travel out of Pluto, and with a Pioneer education, would be advantageous for Zavodskoi to be able to recruit already trained individuals from Pluto onto their employee base. How will this be reflected on-station?: Plutonian Pioneer's can extend their apprenticeship to the Zavodskoi corporation, on a very rare case for a tour abroad, with NBT coming very close soon, I can even add that it's also within Pluto's interest to be able to have citizen leased staff to have the ability to be on board one of the leading expedition projects happening on the spur at this moment. - aside from that I will paraphrase what I say on the google document. Just like my previous Venusian university addition - its mostly fluff lore, which can be used by players for record backgrounds, and roleplay material. Does this addition do anything not achieved by what already exists?: Provides another path for Plutonian characters to have a way to exist on the Aurora - and in the future, the Horizon. - and more education lore... Do you understand that the project may change over time in ways that you may not foresee once it is handed over to the Lore Team? Yes, everything I submit here, if accepted will pretty much be in the hands of the lore team and they have the ability to tweak it as much as they want. Long Description: Plutonian Youth’s Interstellar Pioneer Program
  13. I really don't vibe with the first Zavod uniform's - brown and blue is not a good combination, either we only get tan and brown or we go back to black and red. the new brown uniform looks sick, and I don't mind it at all. That shade is very much a welcome addition.
  14. From my long but disperse time playing in rounds with Vrows characters and interacting with them - I can say for certain that giving them a whitelist trial would be worth a shot, I would even say I'm surprised at all that they don't have one already.
  15. I've played with Keaster several times in the past and now, they are a good player when it comes to Roleplay and playing their departments, - it would be good to see them take up the mantle of command again +1
  16. hello hello. 1. When I mean Shannaz is a doctor, I mean a scientific one, he has a doctorate. 2. Shannaz has interacted with humans for only a short period of time when they were touring Moghez, although he studies other cultures and human cultures, he doesn't say, connect with them. 3. Shannaz has converted to the Tribunal due to its state religion, and heavy inspiration from the Sk'akh faith, the most he is taking advantage of is the Dominian cultures centering around nobilty and honor, which is what he recognizes the most - he sticks to Moghesian norms from fear of being ostracized in human dominated events. EDIT : I'll also acknowledge the mistake I made with naming conventions, I've seen other Unathi refer to scientists as healers, I assumed it was a title added to a name to signify their place within the caste.
  17. BYOND Key: Gillian Daemon Character Names: Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Dark Red, Maybe Metal Grey Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: Once again I decided to break out of my comfort zone and start making new character concepts that I will hopefully bring to life, Unathi are the first non-humanoid race that I find easy to understand, and their unique culture and society lore are more in-depth than I anticipated. – Unathi history was fun to read, and I enjoyed the in-depth page on the different sects of their faith on the wiki, it inspires me to find out the human parallel that inspired the lore in the real world, as I love to learn more about what in real life can inspire fictional media, it also helps me create character concepts. I find Dominian Unathi to be the most interesting in my opinion, although their reworks no longer describe the integrated society between Human and Unathi anymore – I can still find much enjoyment reading about it and imagining the different characters I can make. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Unathi have gameplay mechanics that make them play differently than humans, like ethanol being toxic, Unathi are strictly carnivores so they must eat meat to sustain themselves. Hissing, ect. On a roleplay note, Unathi have certain body language that that make them distinct when interacting with others, like staring intently when conversing. Religion as well as their code of honor, can influence certain acts and mannerisms, their outlook on spirituality are an inherit trait of Unathi. And is part of what makes them a unique race. – depending on where your Unathi has come from, it can change drastically on how they can behave. Character Name: Shannaz Riz’akh Han’San Please provide a short backstory for this character Shannaz was hatched on Moghes – 2413, to a militant clan of the Han’Sans, although Shannaz was born to scholarly parents and elders, they preferred that he studies within the field of science rather than partake in his peers more martial past times. – Shannaz enjoyed both nevertheless, and impressed those with his understanding of the, at the time. Advanced mechanical engineering used in Moghesian weaponry. – In his adolescence, Shannaz was described by clansmen around them as rather ‘stuck-up’ and reclusive, while Shamans did say Shannaz was devout follower of the Sk’akh religion. On the year 2433, Shannaz was 20 years old when humans made first contact with humanity, which sparked intense joy for him. As this sudden new discovery of a race beyond the stars came to his planet with advanced technologies. He spoke often with human merchants and scholars that arrived from the spaceport owned by NanoTrasen, much to the dismay of his traditionalist elders, despite this – Shannaz continued his formal study for the next five years until the Contact War emerged. Clan Han’san was Coalition aligned, and while Shannaz was called back to his home to help with the war effort, he saw the devastation of Nuclear Warfare around him and was quite frankly, horrified. As the fighting went on, Shannaz became a sort of weapons maintainer for the clan, until King Seryo Kazakhz’ attempted landing on the Izweski capital which failed. – When it was clear a Coalition defeat was imminent, Shannaz would rather be with his family and escaped Moghes with the rest of clan Han’san along with Clan Kazhkz. This marked the start of Shannaz’ “pirate” activity, with an eccentric attitude he seemed optimistic about space travel, but unsure about his clans – as what he thinks to be “barbaric” activities, he coped that it was just a method of survival. At 2440, the pirate fleet landed on Moroz to swear allegiance to Emperor Boleslaw Keeser I – and surrendered the vessels to the Empire of Dominia’s Navy, which means Shannaz had to abandon his 2 year home which, he didn’t really care for anyway – albeit happy to start a new life within the Empire, and curious to learn this nation’s customs and ready to study in their educational centers. Shannaz became disillusioned by constantly never being able to escape conflict going on in anywhere he lives, as the forces of Han’san was defeated by Fisanduhan insurgents, giving the Kazhkz more control over the Imperial House, he became absolutely embarrassed by The Clan Lords Salak Kazhkz’ continued piracy and general buffoonery. While Shannaz continues his life on Dominia, he found the faith of the Holy Tribunal which just recently emerged, at first – seeing it as heresy, seeing it as another strange commune of the Sk’akh religion, he saw overlapping similarities, and learned that more eccentric shamans have contributed their beliefs to the new state religion, and opted to convert to the new faith. And has been happy somewhat since. 2451 – Shannaz has become known in his Clan as a knowledgeable professor, and with the announced partnership with Necropolis Industries (now Zavodskoi) – has gone to seek employment with the weapons manufacturing company, to make use of his expertise, and become a clan representative, - Shannaz from this day forward enjoys a peaceful life within the Empire, with an elevated title as Noble. He tries to live honorably and peacefully. What do you like about this character? At first, I just went with the concept of “UNATHI SAILOR!” – but the more I read into Unathi history (Notably the struggle of the contact war and its after effects), Shannaz is just a doctor traumatized by nuclear warfare and the constant conflict that happened in his young adult years, and despite the circumstance, still tries to find a way to keep living by his old traditions and beliefs. Even in the unfamiliar alien environment he is forced to adapt to. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Good enough, I know. I made yet another Zavodskoi character – but it just made too much sense with his backstory to make him one, I will often joke that I have a Zavodskoi bias, but that only goes as far as to say they are my favorite megacorporation, and I hope to make characters that are enjoyed by others, and fun to play by me and with others. Notes: Enjoying the perks of being a noble may have gone to Shannaz’ head. – I like to make sure each character I make has a name that ties to their personality and backstory, so I thought I might as well spoil what Shannaz means here “Shannaz” Origin : Persian, popular name in Iran, Turkey and I believe Baghdad. Meaning : The Ruler’s Pride. “You want peace and harmony in all aspects of your life. You want to devote your life to someone or something. an impressive and aristocratic bearing. No matter how tall you are, you appear noble and upright. You are very much in control of the image you send out to others.” - Tribunal Priestess Barintskaya to Shannaz Han’San, consoling him after he was just egged and whistled by xenophobes on his way to the Tribunal church.
  18. Those sprites look cute as hell
  19. Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): - Planet Lore, Education Describe this proposal in a single sentence (12 word maximum): Where the young go to achieve their dream of being a Venus pop star! – or is it at all like how they portray them like in the holo-ads? How will this be reflected on-station? Gives characters something to talk about when it comes to Solarian pop culture, specifically the behind the scenes of it. - and also a reference point for possible character backgrounds Does this faction/etc do anything not achieved by what already exists? Corporate presence within Venus and the media culture is already established, although this could highlight the heavily manufactured aspect of all of it. Why should this be given to lore developers rather than remain player created lore? Right now I believe the human education pages can be given an upgrade, I’d like to submit something that would give it more content - and more insight to planets. Do you understand that if this is submitted, you are signing it away to the lore team, and that it's possible that it will change over time in ways that you may not foresee? Yeah that’s alright. Long Description: In the bustling corporate district of Chiye-Gyo is an institution dedicated to educating young Venusian adults in the planet, a large, interconnected building with several facilities that incorporate not only studies in scientific development, robotics and the like but also a famous school for, as they advertise "Young Aspiring Performers'' - where through heavy media influence, people are encouraged to try and audition for. the training center for performing arts have garnered a reputation for strict and overbearing exercises with rumored exploitative methods to generate quality media celebrities to keep Venus’ music and movie industry to be number one and profitable. Whilst the practical departments of study are considered lax for most university standards. - famous doctors have graduated from here, studies in robotics are praticularly popular among students, understanding of engineering the perfect positronic chassis that would help an artists career when using IPC's for modelling. Majority of students aim for a scientific or Engineering degree. The school enrolls many students that live within the aerostat - Jintarians may apply, but are subject to minor social scrutiny. The corporation that hires the most graduates are NanoTrasen of course, - Idris Incorporated and Zeng-hu Pharmaceuticals however offer specialized bonuses to Venus graduates, such as the famous Zeng-hu insurance and cybernetic implant programme – and even beauty enhancement procedures for rising media stars – whilst Idris have better leverage in the service and media platforms.
  20. I'm once again an MK-ultra victim, with in fact, poison in my system

    1. Flpfs

      Flpfs

      BPD AND ECSTASY

  21. also make this included in the cowboy crate and coalition pack for mercs, it'll make them look more like wild west rangers since iirc the revolvers they get are the small snub nosed Zavodskoi spritres.
  22. I interacted with Leonard on occassion and just last round with Anderson both as Rize Noack - I'm not familiar with they're capability for command or medical but on an RP level, they would do well as a station liaison. +1
  23. Interacted with Pierre in one round, he was very active - and I think the cape would give him more distinction
