Request:

IC: A form or computer interface that department heads can use to request particular jobs be assigned to the current shift.

OOC: A job slot requested in this manner will be flagged "high priority" to late joiners, and a relevant message placed in lobby chat.

Justification:

IC: Heads should be able to request particular roles be assigned when they are required to deal with problems aboard the station.

OOC: Helps late joiners decide which character to play, perhaps will ease some of the difficulties of low pop.

Honestly, this is one of the "Why didn't I think of that?" suggestions.

We need to nudge people to fill less-popular jobs as well, and having an enviroment where they can actually...do things, is good for players to return to that job!

(Looking at you, Psychologists and Chaplains, you poor bastards.)

 

I'd also like there to be Discord implementation, hopefully. So people sitting around will go, "Hey, I might as well join. My people need me." Will help with lowpop, I suppose.

Totally support this, really great idea. Only very minor implementation note, probly want to do a dchat notification as well as lobby to lure lurking ghosts.

It would be nice if there were two options for this, a medium and high priority. Like, one that might be flagged as 'there is stuff to do for this role, we would benefit from it.' and 'there is very important stuff for this role to do, and we would like central to send one if possible.'

Only the high priority should push dsay I think.
