[Accepted] The Traverse's Lost - the Xi'larx

Lore Impact (Small/Medium/Large): Medium

Species: (Skrell, Tajara, Human, Vaurca, Dionae, Unathi, Synth, General) Primarily Vaurcae, but this may also be relevant to Skrell, Federation Dionae, and humans who have been to the Federation.

Short Description: This is an expansion of the Klat'xatl faction on the wiki known as "the Lost of the Traverse". It includes a proposed name for the faction, the history behind them, as well as cultural and diplomatic aspects.

How will this be reflected on-ship?: It will enable other Vaurca whitelist holders to create characters from the faction with more information available to them.

Does this addition do anything not achieved by what already exists?: I think it offers more insight into the existence of the faction, how they came into being, and how those both playing as one and interacting with one might act in-character.

Do you understand that the project may change over time in ways you may not foresee once it is handed over to the Lore Team? I do. This is my first lore application for part of the setting that has had this much significance, and I completely understand if changes need to be made if it is accepted.

I really like this! Always a fan on expanding upon pieces of lore that have minimal writing, but clear soul

Reading through it, it keeps most all of the original soul of the Lost of the Traverse, and expands upon them in a way that makes sense both in keeping with the original soul, and with the setting.

It also involves other pieces of lore (Ti'raqki) which I'm always a fan of. Tie-ins always make things feel more fleshed out in my goofy little head.

Overall? Great work!

Hi. This is a great application; we're all in for expanding this faction. I've actually had a lot of trouble thinking of ways to make it work better and I think you've nailed it. This application is accepted.

 

However, there are some things we'd like to change. Mainly, we believe the isolation aspect of the original Lost of the Traverse is important—it creates a dynamic unseen with other Vaurca factions and it also has a very interested Lord of the Flies kind of setting, which is also unique in a species so interconnected. @Connorjg1 will message you about other details we may want to change or fluff; you're free to add more input while we move this to the wiki.
