Guest Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Foxes are cool pets. Give the captain a fox. This is Gerard! That's a fox with a sleek winter coat. Supplementary video:
SilentNight195 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 The Captain lacks a pet. I fully endorse this.
Hackie Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Foxes are not pets. If they are pets, they begin adopting the characteristics of a dog, and follow similar behavior. If the captain were to receive a pet, let's give it something captain'y. Maybe a goldfish? Or, a baby goat, named Charlie. Charlie would be a tiny goat with regal fur and a bandanna.
Tainavaa Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I say we give it a captain-y pet, too. Something like a parrot. Chonsey the Parrot
Dea Tacita Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I have a Fox. I have a captain. Give my captain a fox. That is all
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Give them a tamed spider, space carp. Or a gold fish named "CATACLYSM THE DESTROYER" with the description "WITNESSING THE RAGE IN HIS EYES MAKE YOU IMPULSIVELY BEG FOR MERCY BUT YOU KNOW YOU WILL NOT HAVE IT"
K0NFL1QT Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 The Captain doesn't need a pet. What the Captains needs is a sled and harness. That way, a misbehaving greyshirt can be pressed into being the Captains pet, and then whipped until it takes the Captain where they need to go. Mechanicallly it'd be like a wheelchair in reverse, that the puller wouldn't be able to unfasten themselves from. See if people complain about Phoebes privileged position among Command staff then.
Guest Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) I realize this is not the thread for this, but I absolutely demand that the living crate in the armory is not removed, but rather made security's department pet. I actually find being pushed around by animals all the time to be annoying. I am indifferent to the presence of foxes. Edited June 19, 2015 by Guest
TishinaStalker Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 So, is this a serious suggestion thread in any way, shape or form?
Jennalele Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I actually think this should happen. Give the Captain a fox.
Jakers457 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 The Captain's pet should be a Beepsky, that arrests him if he tries to give orders. Hue hue hue hue hue hue. But yes, I don't see why the Captain can't have a fox.
Jakers457 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Well I believe Cassie or someone has a fox sprite laying around.
VikingPingvin Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 The captain already has a pet. In fact, lots. They are called subordinates. Also yes for the fox. Floof.
Crescentise Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Incoming killjoy. This just seems pointless; another useless animal on station to serve only as a magnet for animal cruelty. And why a fox, of all things? They're not traditionally domesticated animals. If we were going with department pets, I'd want some exotic xenofauna sprited, personally. Otherwise, I am perfectly happy with the current animal quota on station, thank you very much.
Dea Tacita Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I have two sprites for foxes if Need be. Also, Foxes can and have been domesticated. There's a breed of domesticated Silver Foxes in Russia.
Tainavaa Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 My suggestion is serious, too. I really think a parrot - particularly named Chonsey - would be both hilarious because of the name, and much more captain-y than a fox.
Dea Tacita Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 This has absolutely no point nor use. Â Neither does Ian, Lamar, or the barmonkey whose name escapes me right now. So what's your point?
Crescentise Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 I did say traditionally domesticated. I know you can domesticate many things, like a tiger, even. Doesn't make it traditional. But then that's a silly argument that I put forward. I have to say I would prefer a parrot for the 'more Captain-y' reason, though the name reference is completely lost on me. Plain old Polly would work as a name as well.
swat43 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Just so you know people.. engineering used to have polly (parrot) as their department pet... So.. for me.. following the old tradition, id say, either a pet fox, or a ferret, since parrot is taken by engineers! "SET UP THE SINGULARITY, YOU LAZY BASTARDS, BWUAAAK!"
