BYOND Key: Meowykins

Character name: Autumn Lorelay

Item name: Plush Duck

Why is your character carrying said item to work? Comfort. She suffers from minor psychosis, which is manifesting in the duck having a voice and a name in her head, IE, Mister Quackers.

Item function(s): Much like the other plush toys. Can be hugged. Ripped apart. Shoved in Autumn's face to catch her tears. Stuff.

Item description: A plush duck, with a small scarf around its neck. It feels soft.

Item appearance: http://gyazo.com/ea2ca3b98e42676ad82313755451efcd

Additional comments: Quack. Code's done. Icon's done. Ect. Just waiting for approval.

I'm going to sound like a dick (And a hypocrite to the point that I am contemplating removal of my own custom item seeing as its also out of the lore now) but bring toys to work? Really?

And if you have a mental disorder to the point that you are imagining a talking duck? Would you really be working on highly expensive research station? Other than to be a test subject?

Other than that, Meow is a good roleplayer, hasn't abused any of the several hundred other custom items they have. ( :P )

Several other people have them already. The psychiatrist's office even has a plush monkey.

They're really, trinkets. While the Aurora technically isn't a workplace where anyone has private quarters or an assigned office (due to the nature of rounds and job slots), lots of people roleplay it as such. And a lot of people, from teachers, to cubicle workers, to secretaries, keep trinkets in their offices, including plushies.

Whatever meaning they choose to give them is between the items and themselves. I doubt the fact you talked to a stuffed duck regularly is something you would disclose when signing your employment contract.

Anyway, does that make sense? Cause I see a lot of real-life basis to this, and don't really think it's unrealistic.

British words

She's been diagnosed, and cleared. She's only on station for work release, and she's currently being held in an orbital station by Reade when out of work. They're both NanoTrasen facilities.

Her condition is /only/ her experience with Quackers. She's not insane. She's not violent. She's a forensic technician who has a duck, that most people don't even know about, because she hides it, knowing how it'll seem if she talks to a stuffed duck.
