rrrrrr
Simple concept: nearly invisible bugs you can attach to items/people. Through them you can listen to what people are saying around that object/person with a special headset. Very simple. Link to comment

Better idea - Instead of needing a 'special headset', you just need to know (Or happen to stumble across) the correct radio frequency. Link to comment
rrrrrr
That'd probably be the case anyways, but that's not a bad idea. Link to comment
Frances
For the sake of coding and balance, this could simply be a regular (small) item. That way, it's still possible to hide it in a pocket, or plant it in a person's bag or labcoat, but isn't as impossible to detect as, say, a hidden changeling sting. Oh, yeah, what about being able to disguise bugs into various junk/misc items, such as pens and lighters? Link to comment
Killerhurtz
Fookin' casuls, you not kidnappin' dem fukkers, cuttan em open and sticken in a boldy radio in 'um? (All kidding aside, it is a really good idea. And have an implant of that style so that brigged people out on parole can be tracked by sound.) Link to comment
Fire and Glory
It'd be even more fun if the bugged person realizes that they're bugged and do casual conversation like in ye 'olde movies, and then switch it off and do the serious conversation. I support this being implemented in some manner. Link to comment
Conservatron
is it possible for one person to attach 'accessories' to another person's clothing? (like armband/ webbing/ ect) so like I have a bug in hand, I walk by and click on a person and the bug is attached to the clothes as an accessory piece, and can be removed by the person during remove accessory. Killerhurtz
Sierra, you can try if you want - but yes it does. Any items inserted in someone (at least in a chest cavity) function just as normally, like if it was in a pocket. Though I haven't tested a pAI in that sense, but that's coming up. Also, IPCs are exempt because you can't put stuff in them. Link to comment

I don't think this would work as well for bugging people who keep a full inventory on them, and who are smart enough to never leave their things about. That 'accessories' suggestion might work as well, if they add an accessory slot specifically /for/ bugs. Otherwise it gets cockblocked by the guy who wears an armband, tie, and holster.
