Guest Menown
Two major things. One) Book Detectors so librarians can know when people decide that it's worth stealing a book from the place. Can go by the door, knows when a checked-in book passes. Two) Book Cart, for moving large quantities of books from the computer to the shelves. Can work like a locker, or like a bag that can't be picked up. Either works. Link to comment
TishinaStalker
For a book cart, you could just make a janicart that holds books instead of cleaning supplies instead. That'd probs be a better option imo. Then, the way detectors work at libraries is just that they scan for barcodes that were not scanned before blaring. Could make it so that books have to be scanned by the librarian so the detector doesn't go off, and then can link that to the library computer to tell you what book was stolen. Link to comment
Guest Menown
I had considered the janicart idea, I figured it'd be better to have it generate a simple list instead of the nanoUI interface for it, since the list would be scroll able. As for the detector, Tish, that's what I meant by checked-in books. I just don't into english. Link to comment
Synnono
I love the bookcart idea. All the erotica in the database can be wheeled straight to medbay. It sounds like it could be simple to create as well. Link to comment
witchbells
I still want the ability to choose the book's cover from the book binding machine. Link to comment
Alberyk
TG has a book satchel which works pretty much like a mining ore satchel, which seems to be a fine alternative to this as well. Link to comment

Killerhurtz
Erotica for the sake of erotica IS banned. However sexual content is not banned: for instance, the book Lolita's been in the library databases since forever. ANYWAY I was thinking this myself. Especially the book cart - what is a good library without a book cart? And it also allows processing all books at once instead of needing to process them in batches that are equivalent to how many you can fit in your backpack. Link to comment
