Hatley Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 So, I've been playing Aurora for a bit now, playing a daft git, playing a comic relief type character, what do you fellas think of him? I mean the quote in my signature implies that I play the role of daft git pretty damn well. Quote
Thesir Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I've seen him here and there. He seems to be an enjoyable and irreverent addition to the general crew, which is a fine balance. He and Bucket will probably get along. Quote
SirStem Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I'm definitely a big fan of Dave. He makes me chuckle. Quote
Ordessa Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 As I've said before, Dave Duran is one of the few people present on the exodus that I'd love to meet. In my opinion, just the right mix of hilarity and rp. Despite the comedic aspect, he still roleplays pain, shock, and terror/impending doom pretty well, which is a refreshing change from the uberbaddass dontgiveadamn barely even notice pain gritty coolguys we usually have. And as menown said, Dave Duran is my spirit animal too. Quote
Mofo1995 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I like that he says smeg and smeghead. Red Dwarf is an underrated show. Quote
LiquidRecluse Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I'll never forget that rev round where him and me nearly killed Marc, holy shit. 10/10, would nearly kill the HoS for the greater good again with him. Quote
Nanako Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Dave Duran isn't very good at breathing. Better now, i hope <3 Quote
Chada1 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Most the time Dave can be pretty good, but I have mixed feelings, too. The way he responds to actual threats is great. He displays actual fear and worry, but... sometimes the comedy can kinda spiral out of control, like that one round with the mice. That's my opinion, though. Quote

To be fair, that one round with the mice was more the 5 or 6 ghosts that kept spawning as mice, emoting screams, and scurrying about. Quote
Xzinic Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I like the character for the uniqueness he has; it is rare to have a comic-relief character who is not a pugnacious jerk. Quote
