SirStem Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 After a long day of classes, sometimes I just need to laugh. Some people watch comedy TV, listen to comedians, or tell children Santa isn't real. But not I. I go and read some of my favorite unban appeals, and that always makes me feel better. I won't name names; that's not cool. Besides, these are funny in my opinion, and probably in my opinion only. Is there anyone else out there who does this? Or am I just a forum-crawling freak of nature (plz don't respond to that)? Quote
UnknownMurder Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Yes. I read your denied unbans. It makes me laugh. Was I suppose to feel good from this? (Insert Sarcasm Joke) Quote
SirStem Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 It's like art. You can interpret the unbans any way you want to. Except for the denied part, that's an ironclad rule of administrative JUSTICE. Quote
Mofo1995 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Pretty much all the complaint boards are somewhat entertaining to read, if you can appreciate the drama. I think incident reports are likely the least interesting because of the lack of "back and forth," but player complaints and staff complaints are my favorites. If you're looking for something which is most interesting to read, go through denied Tajaran Whitelists. There's some serious comedy gold to be had there. Quote
SirStem Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Will do. *UPDATE* That was simultaneously the most beautiful and horrifying thing I have ever laid eyes upon. I think I read five, and then decided humanity's time on this orbiting rock is done and we should move over for the sentient banana-people. Quote
Guest Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I like reading the complaints board. It reminds me that, even when 2D spessman are concerned, that human nature is human nature and people will still be at each other's throats. Quote
SirStem Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Oh, the staff reports are absolutely wonderful. Just decided to go reread those. Reason: Nope. Quote

In nature, family members don't mate with each other and yet they help each other to survive. It increases the chance that their genes will be passed on to a new generation. Altruism among blood relatives is a response to natural selection. It's called Selfish Gene Theory. Quote

I mean, how many bans are about violence? Sometimes the allure of whacking someone over the head with a toolbox/fire extinguisher/metal sheet/donk pocket is just too great to ignore. Quote

I would say a fair deal of them. It'd be rare to see a complaint that wasn't about overescalated violence or whichever. Quote

Guest Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Is it bad that I laugh at pretty much every complaint and request? Sometimes with other people? Quote

SirStem Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 Wait, the forums aren't simply there so I can laugh at other people? I feel like I've been lied to. Quote
