The Kingdom Celebrates the Day of Rightful Restoration

27.10.2463

Today the Kingdom commemorates its second Day of Rightful Restoration since the Armistice. Established shortly after the return of King Azunja to the throne, the holiday celebrates the independence of the New Kingdom from foreign occupation. The population took the streets to celebrate in all cities. Pubs remained open throughout the night bustling with activity. Museums and theaters opened their doors to the public for free. King Azunja's announcement declaring the Kingdom's return and other selected speeches were broadcast on The Crown Herald during the entire day. Thanks to Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla, the people were able to enjoy alien-made snacks and other commodities sold at popular prices.

As is tradition, the parade was held through the city. Queen Shumaila Azunja, standing at the Imperial Palace's balcony, watched the procession alongside Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan. The ceremony was led by Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas with rows of sailors following him. Ras'nrr Expeditionary Force Marines, accompanied by Mrraka'te'almalik Marrmeladov, followed after. Imperial Dragoons and Royal Grenadiers opened the army section of the parade. Alam'ard units, wearing their best field uniforms, marched behind the special forces. Rock Nomad and Amohdan auxiliary troops came last. Warships docked at Kaltir fired their cannons to pay their honors to the Rightful Restoration. Royal Flying Corps autogyros flew over the capital leaving a trail of white smoke on the skies.

After the parade, Queen Shumaila Azunja, notable parliamentarians, and high-ranking nobles took part in a feast organized in the Imperial Palace's great hall. King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik was also present for the festivities; he had a brief private meeting with Her Majesty about the growing tensions in the Nomadic Host. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh spent most of the party socializing with the nobility and corporate representatives. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas engaged with reporters on-site, recounting his experience during the war. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk returned to his home to spend time with his family when the main event was over. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho toured Kaltir's pub to gather support for his recently founded party. Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan retired to his quarters after the military procession.

The off-world Tajara living in Tau Ceti also celebrated the Day of Rightful Restoration. Taking advantage of the fresh Adhomian goods brought by Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla, the inhabitants of Little Adhomai gathered in the Sleeping Cannon Pub to feast. Midhat Hamiyeh, a local community leader, praised Queen Azunja for the prosperity she is bringing to the Tajara.

At the night, the Crown published the new parliamentarians Her Majesty chose to occupy the positions created early this month. Surprisingly, all the parties received the same amount of seats. Political specialists believe that Her Majesty is trying to preserve the new balance brought by the introduction of the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity.

National Census Results are Published

17.11.2463

After seven months of collecting and processing information, the Crown released today the result of the first royal census since the Armistice. The data was published in the official bulletin and in handbook versions. The reports were also sent to all province administrations, so they may take the new data into consideration. The Crown was only able to interview immigrants living in the Republic of Mendell; because of the lack of diplomatic representation, Tajara in other territories were not considered. The Nomadic population of the southern host was not taken into consideration.

The data regarding the population ethnicity background was one of the most sought after information from the census:

  • 32% of the population were identified as Hharar.
  • 27% were identified as Zhan-Khazan.
  • 22% were identified as M'sai.
  • 11% were identified as Njarir'Akhran.
  • 8% were identified as Mixed Heritage.

The numbers were largely considered to be a reflection of the natural Tajara population levels, with Njarir'Akhran having a large representation due to the immigration brought by the war and the armistice. The great majority of the nobility was made up of Njarir'Akhran Tajara. The current information may change as some appeals for the classifications to be reviewed are still underway.

The Parliament meeting where the census information was announced was largely uneventful until the results about Mixed Heritage individuals were released. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho suddenly interrupted the session with a discourse:

Quote

"The number of mixed Tajara has never been so large. Before First Contact, they were insignificant - now they will soon outnumber the Njarir'Akhran. With every mongrel that is born, two good Tajaran heritages are destroyed. Some may call his ideas nonsense, but it is basic mathematics. They must do something to preserve the Tajaran people. Tscherim's party will develop a solution."

Prince Serhiy Oliinyk retorted to Count Sanguszkho by calling him "insane" and "paranoid". The Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity and the Commoners Party then engaged in a shouting match. Order was restored thanks to the intervention of Queen Shumaila Azunja. The meeting concluded without any further disruption.

Unexpected Collapses Delays the Construction of Miran'mir's Bunkers

29.11.2463

Dymtris Construction has reported today that three chambers in Miran'mir's construction site collapsed in the past few days; progress has been delayed for at least five weeks due to the incidents. Workers are refusing to continue with the project due to the fear of being caught in another collapse. Technicians on site are currently trying to discover the causes behind these events. Priests of Shumaila have been called to bless the construction site.

Security staff on-site did not detect any suspicious activity. Workers and their quarters were searched for any contraband; no explosives or weapons were found. Dymtris Construction ruled out any kind of internal sabotage. The city constables are on elevated alert in case the Adhomai Democratic Front is involved in the cave-in. Prince Tretyak Rukhaylo, the overseer of Miran'mir's bunker, expressed his concerns in an official statement:

Quote

"Their construction team has been working undisturbed since the beginning of the project. Under Tretyak's leadership, they have made considerable progress. The causes of the collapses are beyond their control - only the best Tajara are employed here. They suspect that an external force is trying to sabotage their efforts in delivering their promises."

Prince Tretyak Rukhaylo is a nephew of Duke Volodymyr Rukhaylo, the owner of Dymstris Construction. The Rukhaylo are a noble family involved in the construction business currently working on the Bunker Plan; they were also responsible for restoring and expanding the Imperial Palace in Kaltir.

Prince Tretyak Rukhaylo asked for the Crown to aid in the ongoing investigation. Dymtris Polytechnic College dispatched some of its specialists to Miran'mir. Queen Shumaila assigned a squad of Royal Peacekeepers to help Dymtris Construction. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas blamed the Hadiist and Al'mariist states; he claimed that the megacorporations hired for the project were actively collaborating with the Kingdom's enemies.

Since the cave-in happened during the night after the shifts were over, no one was wounded. Work on the Mirani'mir' bunkers has been suspended until the reason behind the collapses is identified. Other cities did not report any kind of disturbance in their projects.

Cultural Hour: New Act at the Royal Theater; Prince Oliinyk Handles Critique

13.12.2463

This week, the usual program at the Kaltir Royal Theater was interrupted as a new, sponsored act was scheduled to appear. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk, a long-term patron and supporter of the arts, was the one to schedule this change. While the gentry was upset at first at the modification of venue from inside to outside, after drinks and food were distributed, courtesy of the prince, the mood improved and the act could begin. On the menu? Crown Voices.

Crown Voices are an all-female band, composed of Masha Il-Azura, Ilvya  Kolovova, and I’sha S’rremich. The singing group was accompanied by a troupe crudely titled “The Underclass Brass”. Their voices rang out into the snow, as poorer Tajara who could not afford the venue flocked to the newly built wooden fences and barricades. A minor scene was caused as the constabulary was called, however, they could do very little as the close proximity of the venue to the day-to-day streets and living areas gave the ill-listeners an easy excuse to avoid trouble with the law.

This was not the only gaffe that had happened that night, as multiple paying patrons left the venue, realizing that both the band and the singer trio did not include a single Njarir or noble. Among them another long-standing patron and lover of the arts, Count Tscherim Sanguszko, who had previously attempted to stop the play but was unable to due to his inebriated state.

While at the time the trio and their band received a standing ovation both from members of lower nobility, and, to remind the reader, non-paying listeners, on the outskirts. The reviews which have recently arrived point towards a less positive reception among the academic crowds. A few excerpts will be featured here; purely to maintain neutrality and journalistic honesty.

Quote

“Prince Oliinyk confuses patriotism and political ideology for art…”
- Journal of High Art, Marquis Krr’ism D’rran

Quote

“While he could appreciate the band, the lack of Njarir-Arkhan points to a concerning racial trend in the kind of work Prince Oliinyk supports and encourages…”
- ACADEMICA, Baron Rrrhan Vlustovych

Quote

“Trite garbage filled with traitorous Natediist and Hadiist ideas…”
- Renewal Fraternity Daily, Count Tscherim Sanguszko

They would like to remind all readers that all copies of “Crown Voices” currently being distributed are not being sold by the Royal Theater Society. They are illegal copies and should not be purchased. For more information, visit the Royal Theater Society website.

Queen Shumaila Appoints a New Crown Heir!

27.12.2463

Pressured by the Parliament, Queen Shumaila has proposed the appointment of a new Crown Heir in today's meeting. To everyone's surprise, Her Majesty appointed her five years old cousin, Zhakmar Azunja, as the Crown Heir. Zhakmar, accompanied by his nursemaid, entered the chamber. The Parliament quickly descended into accusations, shouting, and discussions after the suggestions. Many parliamentarians called Her Majesty crazy or denounced it as some sort of prank. Zhakmar, startled by the confusion, began to cry loudly. After order was restored by the Queen's order, she assured the Parliament of her intentions of choosing Zhakmar. A long debate about the laws and search into the candidate's heritage followed. Unable to find anything in the legislature that determined a minimum age for the Crown Heir, the Parliament opened for negotiations with Her Majesty. Zhakmar Ajunja, already asleep, returned to his quarters before the debate began.

Queen Shumaila recognized that while her choice was unconventional, she had few options because of her dynasty's reduced numbers. In an attempt to compromise with the Parliament, she suggested the creation of the role of Appointed Regent in cases the underage Heir ascends to the throne. The Appointed Regent would rule in the stead of the King until he can be crowned. Any member of the Parliament could be elected for this position as long as they secured the most votes. With this addition, Her Majesty's appointment was approved by most of the Parliament.

Each party then offered their respective leaders for the role of Appointed Regent. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh spoke first to the Parliament:

Quote

"Stability is necessary in these uncertain times. The Kingdom has prospered thanks to the Royal Party's policies. Akym, as the representative of their noble people, is the perfect candidate for the duty of a Regent. He is a successful manager, ardent Royalist, and friend to most of them. If the worst comes to worst, he will continue to rule the Kingdom in the way they know and trust."

Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas addressed the Parliament next:

Quote

"Their strength lies in the navy and the army; without them, the Kingdom would never exist. Mahtra as the Regent would represent the most essential element of their nation. A strong Crown requires a strong military. If ever needed, he will be ready to guide them to victory against the Hadiist, Al'mariists, and alien invaders."

Representing the Commoners Party, Prince Serhiy Oliinyk made his statement:

Quote

"Without the people, the Kingdom has nowhere to stand on. Their main mission is to protect the people of Adhomai against tyranny and bloodshed. A fair and understanding Regent is what they need. A just hand to rule the nation so they may alleviate the suffering of the masses. The Crown exists to protect its subjects above everything else."

Finally, Count Tscherim Sanguszkho was reluctantly given the floor:

Quote

"These are times of weakness. Their people's future is at a crossroads - their heritage might soon become history. If anything - he surely hopes they are speaking hypothetically - ever happens to Her Majesty and their King is unable to rule, the Kingdom needs someone able to see and solve its problem. Besides the Queen and the Crown Heir, Tscherim is the best candidate. He has a great vision for their country."

After the speeches, the Parliament voted to decide on the Appointed Regent. However, the necessary number of votes could not be reached. Queen Shumaila decided to adjourn the meeting. Her Majesty promised to have a Regent chosen next year. A feast celebrating the new Crown Heir will be held at the Royal Palace in a week.

Family Feud Behind Miran'mir's Bunkers Incident!

02.01.2464

The investigation of the Miran'mir's Bunkers collapses revealed an unexpected culprit behind the collapses. Dymtris Polytechnic College's technicians discovered that the cause of the cave-in was the poor quality of the steel used in its structure; the metal quickly became brittle and cracked during the night because of the cold. Interrogations uncovered that Dymtris Construction was aware of the dubious quality of the steel; they decided to continue with the construction to avoid any delay.

Royal Peacekeeper's investigators traced shipments back to a foundry in Baltor. The supplier of the defective material was Misizla Steel Works - the corporation currently supplying all the Bunker Plan's construction sites. After investigating receipts and interrogating the staff, the agents quickly found the culprit. Prince Muhsin Mavka, the foundry's manager, had personally altered the shipment orders for Miran'mir's Bunkers. Steel delivered to the construction site had its chemistry altered and underwent inadequate heat treatment; the metal was also exposed to the cold instead of being properly stored.

When questioned by the Peacekeepers, Prince Muhsin explained his reasons: he sabotaged the shipments to hurt the reputation of the Rukhaylo dynasty, the owners of Dymtris Construction. The houses of Mavka and Rukhaylo are allegedly involved in a feud caused by a legal dispute over land ownership. The scheme was maintained through the bribery of foundry workers; Prince Muhsin had used his personal funds to avoid raising suspicion.

Misizla Steel Works fired Prince Muhsin Mavka when informed of the discovery. All of the steel shipped to the Miran'mir's Bunkers is being returned to the foundries; proper replacements are already on the way. The bunkers' structure must now be revised and replaced as needed. The extra work might take months to complete. Other bunkers were ordered to inspect their foundations for any sign of the defective material. Duke Volodymyr Rukhaylo did not comment on the matter.

Queen Shumaila warned that the Crown might revise the deal with Dymtris Construction if another similar incident happens. The company's administration promised to punish the negligent employees.

The Kingdom Celebrates the Ice Waltz

15.01.2464

With the celebration of the Ice Waltz, the beaches of the New Kingdom witness a burst of activity. In many cities, the population gathered on the shores to celebrate the new year and start. Stages, picnics, tables, pyres, and effigies dotted the sand. Kaltir saw the largest gathering, with many people coming from the countryside to take part in the festivities. Sword demonstration and duels were held in Bar'jar. The citizens of Miran'mir made several Hma'trra Zivr statues to ask for the return of the lost expedition. Alcoholic beverages sales hit a record since the end of the war; pubs remained open during the entire day and night.

Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh and most of the higher nobility spent their holidays in a resort at the coast of Harr'nr. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas remained in Miran'mir to celebrate with both officers and sailors - in a display of bravery, Mahtra entered the ocean twice. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk discretely joined his family in the festivities in Kaltir. In a meeting with the Fraternity, Count Tscherim Sanguszkho claimed that the Ice Waltz was invented by the Ancient Tajara to mourn the loss of their homeland; he was later spotted taking part in a drinking competition in Baltor. Queen Shumaila and Crown Heir Zhakmar were also present for the event in the capital; Her Majesty refused to make any comment on the appointment of the Regent.

The off-world community in Tau Ceti also celebrated the Ice Waltz. Tajara congregated at the beaches of Mendell City to spend time with their families and friends. Free mead, courtesy of the Hamiyeh dynasty, was available at the event. Effigies depicting the Bayonet Hand, a local urban legend, were thrown into the ocean. Plastic pools full of freezing water were also present to simulate Adhomai's oceans.

The Royal Telegraph wishes a good year to all of its readers.

Royal Navy Launches Rescue Operation in Search of Lost Expedition

23.01.2464

After months without any kind of information about the missing expedition, the Parliament was shaken today by the sudden discovery of a lead. A group of fishermen, sailing the extreme north in search of frozen Glacier Worm carcasses, spotted and took a picture of one of the ships. The vessel in the picture was identified as the HMS Ha'rron, the frigate dispatched to protect the Miran'mir academy expedition. The ship was supposedly still moving and did not answer any attempts to communicate. The remaining vessels were not seen by the fishermen.

While there was still much skepticism in regards to the validity and usefulness of the claim, most of the Parliament agreed on organizing a rescue operation to find the expedition. The initial proposal was brought by the People's Party. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk proposed sending a large fleet of military and civilian ships to scour the north alongside the air force. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas was initially opposed to lending more assets after the loss of the frigate. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh suggested sealing another contract with Minharrzka Maritime Company to acquire extra icebreakers and ships for the mission. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho supported the plan, suggesting that the party was not lost, instead, they had found something that changed their minds about ever returning to their homes; this claim left most of the Parliament deeply confused.

Before taking a decision, Queen Shumaila Azunja consulted with Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan on the Kingdom's current capabilities. Her Majesty then made a counterproposal: instead of sending another party, the Kingdom would instead establish a permanent base on the North Pole to facilitate the search mission. While most parliamentarians were unsure of the Queen's idea, they quickly agreed on it after a brief discussion. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk accepted after Her Majesty promised to station a scientific team on the site. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh conceded when the Crown sealed a contract to acquire more ships from the Maritime Company. With much chagrin, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas agreed in exchange for allowing the navy to also use the base. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho only asked to allow a single Fraternity representative to take part in the next expedition.

A fleet is now scheduled to depart to establish the base on the north pole in the next month. While its main mission is still finding the lost expedition, the changes made by the Parliament have greatly increased its original scope. Scientists and experienced sailors are now being called to take part in the exploration of the far north.

Train Robbers Steals Weapons Shipment!

03.02.2464

A train carrying a shipment of weapons and explosives was robbed last night on its way from Baltor to Olska. The locomotive was forced to stop due to a landslide caused by the criminals. When the workers left the wagons to clear the passage, they were ambushed by the bandits armed with rifles and shotguns. Despite the brave resistance of the guards, they were subjugated and had to surrender the cargo. Thousands of rifles, machine guns, and sidearms were stolen. Military-grade explosives were also taken. No group claimed authorship of the crime. Five Tajara lost their lives during the robbery; two criminals were wounded during the confrontation but were evacuated by their accomplices. The weapons were destined to supply the military bases in Olska.

Royal Firearms, the owner of the shipment, logged a complaint in Parliament due to the lack of policing in the region. The governor of the province explained that most of the constable forces were moved to the Borderlands and the Nomadic Host. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas urged Her Majesty to replace the constables with the military in the southern areas. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed contracting security personnel from megacorporations to guard the railways. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk proposed searching the markets in search of the new weapons. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho accused mixed breed Tajara who supposedly infested the ungovernable Borderlands of being the masterminds behind the robbery. Queen Shumaila decided to assign a team of Royal Peacekeepers to investigate the crime.

In an interview with the press, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas complained about the internal security situation in the Kingdom:

Quote

"The constabulary is not prepared to deal with their current security issues. The Army must be deployed to crush these insurgencies. If the Kingdom fails to address its internal issues, it will face dire times. Her Majesty must see the reason and allow the military to protect their brave nation once again!"

While the constabulary presence in the Nomadic Host has helped reduce the clashes, it has done little to reach any kind of reconciliation between the Rock Nomads and the local population. The Royal Peacekeepers suspect that Adhomai Democratic Front is operating in the Al'mariist territories.

Rescue Mission Reaches the North Pole

24.02.2464

The team sent to search for the lost Miran'mir Academy expedition has reported today that they have reached the North Pole. The journey was uneventful and the landing was safe. A base, named Little Kaltir, is already being built with the help of the Minharrzka Maritime Company and the Dymtris Polytechnic College. The Royal Navy will be responsible for running the installation. Captain Tajrhalrr Zarkradhir was appointed by Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas as its leader.

The search will be done first through sea patrols. If the ships are unable to find any trace of the lost personnel, teams will be sent to search inland. Meanwhile, the Academy personnel are allowed to explore and conduct research as they see fit. Yevgeniy Chalnik, an archeologist from Miran'mir, is currently leading the scientific efforts on the Pole. Prince Arseny Rogozhin, a renowned folklorist and member of the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity, was also dispatched at the request of Count Tscherim Sanguszkho. The expedition plans to survey the region first and then search some of the wreckages for anything of historical significance.

Queen Shumaila Azunja thanked the rescue mission for its efforts in rescuing their fellow Tajara. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas ordered Captain Zarkradhir to concentrate his efforts on finding the missing team. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh suggested extending the Kingdom's fishing operations to the North Pole as well. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk requested that the Kingdom's presence remains on the pole even after the lost expedition is found. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho called the landing the "first step to recovering the lost Tajaran greatness".

The Royal Navy has already commissioned Minharrzka Maritime Company to build extra icebreakers for future polar surveys. A call for explorers and sailors to join the expedition was issued by the  Miran'mir Academy. Tajara from across all the Kingdom have expressed interest and have begun to gather at the city of Miran'mir to join the next supply convoy.

Parliament Approves the Heritage Encouragement Act

10.03.2464

The Parliament was shaken today by an audacious project presented by the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity: the Heritage Encouragement Act. This law proposes an increase of 10% to the salary of any Tajara working in positions considered traditionally accepted for their ethnicity. The proposal also had an entire list of professions and areas assigned to their respective ethnicities who are eligible for the bonus. The bill was introduced by Count Tscherim Sanguszkho with a speech:

Quote

"Thanks to the thousand years of cultivation by their magnificent ancestors, the Tajara people have survived the tragedy that split them into multiple nations. In the infinite wisdom inherited from a long-lost race, the Njarir'Akhran built a harmonious society. A pure order where everyone had an assigned position that suited them perfectly. The Alien, the Hadiist, and the Al'mariist are attempting to spoil what is left of their beautiful and unique civilization with their nefarious plan - miscegenation! As long the enemies of the Crown draw breath, the Kingdom can not revive the beautiful world they once knew. For now, they must encourage their people to maintain their heritage. The future of the Tajara lies in every Njarir'Akhran, Hharar, M'sai, and Zhan-Khazan. His proposal is simple: reward them for taking part in culturally recognized professions to their respective ethnicities."

Prince Serhiy Oliinyk denounced the proposal as discriminatory. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh asked if the project would only affect national companies. Count Sanguszkho explained that the megacorporations were excluded from being required to apply the bonus when working in the Kingdom's territory; he later claimed that any Tajara working for an alien enterprise had "already sold out their heritage in exchange for some meager pay". Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas supported the motion, citing it as a way to reward the soldiers who fought for the Crown. Queen Shumaila Azunja abstained from voting or opining on the issue.

The proposal deeply divided the Parliament. All of the Renewal Fraternity's members voted in favor, while the Commoners Party voted against. The Officers and Royal parties were split in half. Most of the Royal Party voted in favor after Count Tscherim pointed out that Njarir'Akhran working as parliamentarians were included in the wage raise. With most of the Parliament's support, the Heritage Encouragement Act was accepted. Despite Prince Oliinyk's protests, Her Majesty refused to interfere in the decision.

All national businesses now have three months to implement the bonus. The eligibility is based on the ethnicity present in the official identification documents. Megacorporations operating in the New Kingdom are exempt. The raise was well received by most of the population; however, some intellectuals and activists criticized the Act. Major complaints were related to the fact that Tajara with mixed heritage were not included in the law.

Prince Oliinyk promised to organize a demonstration against the Act.

Rescue Mission Delivers Report on its First Excursion

20.03.2464

New Kaltir has reported to the Parliament today the results of its first land incursion. A team, led by Yevgeniy Chalnik, left the base to survey the proximities. The group used aerosleds and was guided by an experienced explorer. After two hours, they stopped at a place known as the Whispering Fields. Supposedly built during the Gunpowder Age, the Fields is a kilometer-wide circle made of several aligned obsidian slabs. The crew stopped to analyze the monument.

Geologists took a sample of the stones for further analysis. Doctor Chalnik explained that the Fields were likely built by explorers under the orders of the Das'nrra Empire. However, no documentation about the construction was ever found. Prince Arseny Rogozhin claimed that the monument was used by Ancient Tajara for long-distance transport and communication; he also argued that other fields existed through Adhomai but were destroyed. The argument was interrupted by Captain Tajrhalrr Zarkradhir who ordered the expedition to return.

The land survey failed to find any trace of the missing personnel. Costal patrols have also returned with no results. In the Parliament, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas recommended retreating from the North Pole if nothing conclusive is found in the next months. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed deploying the air force to help search the region. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk suggested using Ha'rron Sleds for transport and the establishment of extra outposts to cover more ground. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho remained in silence reading the transcript of the argument between Chalnik and Rogozhin.

Queen Shumaila decided to implement Grand Duke Yudenikh and Prince Oliinyk's ideas. Balloons, autogyros, and sleds are being dispatched to New Kaltir. Orders to found new outposts have been also issued by Her Majesty.

Second Largest Gathering in the Kingdom’s History greets Holy Father K’rrirran!

23.03.2464

Massive crowds of the faithful are no strange sight in the Kingdom. Many Tajara of our nation continue to follow the traditional ways as opposed to the dangerous revolutionaries that pester Adhomai with cries of irreligiosity and movements rejecting long-standing institutions. But in Baltor, one of the largest crowds in the Kingdom’s history has occurred in the usually sleepy city. Hotels have filled up, boarding houses are brimming, and both nobility and peasants have rented out sections of their homes to travelers as people flock to witness the arrival of Holy Father K’rrirran himself. The coming of the Father was heralded with a contingent of Imperial Marine escorts led by the Field-Marshal Zarkradar’akhan on Queen Shumaila’s orders. No harm is to come to the Holy Father K’rrirran and no terrorist, bandit, or radical can even hope to harm a hair on his head as long as the Kingdom’s finest protect him!

The Holy Father was met with surprise at the sight of the gathered troops. Leaving his boat he walked down and shook hands with the Field-Marshal before engaging him in conversation. While no one could hear the words they spoke, on-lookers reported that the Holy Father looked strangely concerned as he spoke with Field-Marshal Zarkradar’akhan. After their conversation ended, the Holy Father and his escort of priests and bodyguards were ushered to a motorcade that had taken them to Baltor’s famous Mez’gin clock tower. There, Holy Father K’rrirran addressed the throngs of followers using the city’s municipality-wide announcement system.

Quote

"He thanks all for coming here. All of those who came to this city to witness his arrival, all those who fill the streets and pavilions just to hear a speech from this old man. When he traveled across Adhomai, he will admit, he had felt doubt. Doubt about the faith, doubt about our place in this new world of revolutions and change… But, seeing all of you here! And the crowds of Nal’tor, of Mezuma, of Shastar and all the people of the towns and hamlets along the way… It gives him hope. And that hope is the very seed of faith. So many of us still remember our creed and what we all are. Parivara. Family."

Crowd fervor reached a pitch as the Holy Father’s speech ended. Many in the crowd cheered, some wept in joy, and the police and army troops had their hands full stopping crowd members from trying to reach out to grab or touch the Holy Father.  Unfazed by the experience, Holy Father K’rrirran entered the motorcade again with the Field-Marshal and departed to travel to the capital. Three days of events organized by the Parivara will occur in Kaltir before Holy Father K’rrirran goes to petition the Parliament to implement his orphanage reform.

Royal Parliament unanimously passes support for Orphanages, Holy Father of the Parivara to meet with Queen Shumail and Royal Heir

29.03.2464

Holy Father K’rrirran’s arrival to the New Kingdom has brought about record-shattering crowds, sermons that encompass entire cities, and even lowered crime rates in municipalities he passes through. Today comes a new achievement of the Holy Father as the Royal Parliament has almost unanimously voted on a bill for the first time in its history. Since it was formed by King Vahzirthaamro, may his greatness rest in peace, the parliament has been fraught with argumenting and politicking that often required the intervention of our great monarchs. But today the proposed bill by the Holy Father passed with an astonishing number of supporting votes with only a few votes against. As of today, the Parivara-run orphanages of the Kingdom will receive full and complete funding for upkeep and education purposes. All four party leaders were in support of the measure. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh stated that the proposal has become a point of pride for the Kingdom and that it could not fail in religious matters where “the perfidious al’mariist and pathetic Hadiist” succeeded. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas paid his respects to the Holy Father for blessing the Parliament with his presence. Count Tscherim Sanguzskho took to the floor to begin a lecture on how the orphanages could be used to help teach each race on their histories and duties in society. He was ordered to cease after roughly 3 and a half minutes. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk stated his gratitude for the bill’s swift acceptance and his hopes for a rapid implementation.

With this passage of the bill, the journey of the Holy Father has almost come to an end. Queen Shumaila and Royal Heir Zhakmar have both agreed to a private audience with the Holy Father. Unlike the corrupt President Hadii and the morally, politically, and spiritually destitute President Harrlala our great sovereign has proved that she holds true to faith and tradition. Holy Father K’rrirran is expected to return to Sana Sahira after this meeting and will travel with a Royal Navy escort of light ships until he reaches PRA waters.

Religious Taxes on Kin of S’rendarr Members Abolished by Queen Shumaila

03.04.2464

In an announcement to the Royal Parliament today Queen Shumaila put forward a vote to abolish taxes levied on members of the Kin of S’rendarr. Established on order of King Vahzirthaamro, may he rest in peace, the taxation of members of the religious society was done to curb their recruitment. The vote was prefaced with a statement by the Queen:

Quote

"There is no need to continue this anymore. The Kin of S’rendarr are proven to be largely peaceful and are willing to assist the Kingdom in many ways. She asks the Parliament to support her and grant their votes in abolishing this."

A wave of confusion came over the parliament. Questions to the Queen inquiring why she had taken a sudden interest in this matter were levied. The Queen responded that she simply doubted the need for this taxation as the Kin of S’rendarr were, arguably, a charity organization. Votes were passed only after some further questions were answered. The Royal Party and Grand Duke Ayem Yudenikh firmly voted against it. Grand Duke Yudenikh warned that the taxation was not just a loss in income but also risking terror groups using the Kin to organize themselves. The Officer party was majority in support. Dissenting voices raised concerns that this could be legalizing some sort of militia and taking control out of the hands of the army and into the peasantry. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas supported the bill tentatively. The Commoner Party fully supported the bill. Prince Serihy Oliinyk and other members voiced their content with no longer hampering the assistance of the Kin of S’rendarrr and their aid to the peasantry. The Fraternity supported the bill with Count Tscherim Sangusckho recounting how the Kin of S’rendarr was once a great bulwark against moral threats.

The bill was passed with a majority vote. As of today, all members of the Kin of S’rendarr organization (If there are any at all in our borders.) will no longer be heavily taxed for their membership. It is believed that this may lead to an increase in their numbers in the cities across the Kingdom.

Her Majesty and the Crown Heir Visits Vlrralkhzazhul Line

12.04.2464

Crown heir Zhakmar Azunja, alongside Queen Shumaila Azunja and Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan, visited the Vlrralkhzazhul Line today. Built following the offensive of 2459, the Vlrralkhzazhul Line is a mighty system of defenses meant to protect the northern areas of the Kingdom. The royal trio arrived via train and was escorted by a detachment of Ras'nrr Expeditionary Marine personally led by Mrraka'te'almalik Marrmeladov. Due to security concerns, the visit was unannounced.

The tour began with the underground system. Her Majesty and the Crown heir visited the armories, pillboxes, and bunkers where brave royalists soldiers held the line against the Hadiist enemy. They visited the main mess hall next; the Line's dining hall is famous for being able to serve up to nine thousand Tajara. Her Majesty ate a slice of hard bread with some fatshouters bloodpudding and had a glass of Messa's Mead. The Crown Heir was served some mashed Earthen Root alongside a cup of Mutthir. Field Marshal Zarkradar'Akhan refused any meal offered to him by the chefs.

Her Majesty then visited the air defenses systems and artillery positions. Soldiers demonstrated the might of the Vlrralkhzazhul Line by firing their guns simultaneously. The sound of the weapons scared the Crown Heir, who began to cry. Despite the attempts by the soldiers present to calm Zhakmar, he only stopped screaming after his nursemaid attended to him. The next stop was one of the construction sites of the ongoing expansions. Queen Azunja met with military engineers and specialists from the Dymtris Polytechnic College.

The visit ended with Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan telling some of his First Civil War stories to recruits. The session took close to two hours as the Marshal frequently misremembered events and had to backtrack multiple times. In the end, Crown heir Zhakmar Azunja fell asleep and had to be carried back to the train. Queen Shumaila Azunja promised to visit other areas of the Kingdom to "show the Crown Heir his people and land".

Upon hearing of the visit, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas departed from the capital to the Vlrralkhzazhul Line. However, Her Majesty had already left when he arrived.

Clashes in the Borderlands; Constabulary Under Attack

24.04.2464

In a parliament meeting today, the Royal Constabulary has reported multiple attacks against its forces in the Borderlands last night. Bandits, armed with small arms and explosives, raided outposts and armories in the region. Radio stations were also sabotaged before the assault. Without proper communication, the constables were unable to mount an effective defense. The criminals retreated into the wilderness as soon as the radio system was brought back.

A total of forty-seven agents were killed in action and at least three hundred were wounded. Thousand more guns and ammunition crates were stolen. Due to its high level of coordination, authorities believe that the Adhomai Democratic Front was likely behind the incident. Royal Peacekeepers investigators on site confirmed that the weapons and bombs used matched the ones stolen from a train shipment two months ago.

Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas, enraged by the news, demanded the immediate deployment of the military to the Borderlands. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh argued against the use of the army, he claimed that any armed buildup in the frontier would only antagonize the Liberation Army. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk suggested trying to contact the movement to solve the issue through diplomacy. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho proposed evacuating the entire population of the region, breaking up the families, and resettling them across the Kingdom to dismantle the Front. Once again, Her Majesty refused to deploy the army to solve issues related to internal securities.

Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed hiring private forces to reinforce the Constabulary in the Borderlands. He explained that the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate had recently established the Private Military Contracting Group, a corporation focused on offering security services. In his suggestion, the megacorporation would deploy their agents alongside regular policing units. The proposal was met with much opposition from the other parties. The Officers Party was convinced when the Grand Duke sealed a deal with Misizla Steel Works to supply the military with large quantities of steel at low prices for a classified project. The Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity accepted the mottion after a brief meeting between Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh and Count Tscherim Sanguszkho; it is unknown what exactly they decided.

Her Majesty agreed to the Grand Duke's project and contacted the Private Military Contracting Group. The corporation accepted the proposal and promised to deliver some of its forces next month. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk called this development "a dangerous move considering what they know of the typical mercenary behavior in Adhomai".

Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan To Retire and be Replaced by Vyakelas Klyuchevsky

02.05.2464

Dramatic news has come from Queen Shumaila’s address to Parliament this evening. An important meeting for all sitting members of Parliament, the Imperial Adhomaian Army’s Mrraka’te’almalikii and Jabrut Almumalikii , the Royal Navy’s admiralty, and Azunja dynasty was ordered and all were expected to attend. Additional seats were added and much of the parliament floor was taken up by seated officials. After the entire chamber was filled with representatives of the nation’s civilian and military branches, our Queen took to the podium to deliver her address.

Quote

"Before her generals, admirals, and all parliament members, she delivers an important announcement regarding Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar’Akhan. A long-standing servant of the Kingdom, he has served the Tajara people and the Crown with exemplary conduct throughout the uprisings and the difficult challenges that the Kingdom had faced. It is in his 74th year of service to the Crown that his service has unfortunately come to an end. The Field-marshal entrusted her to deliver this news to all and to announce her and his selection for the new Field-Marshal. Mrraka’te’almalik Vyakelas Klyuchevsky."

Despite the disheartening news applause for the Field Marshal erupted from sections of the parliament and gathered officials. Mrraka’te’almalik Klyuchevsky took to the stand after Queen Shumaila stepped down, offering a bow to the Queen as he did, and gave a statement before opening the floor to questions.

Quote

"He is honored to accept this promotion from Queen Shumaila. For years, he has served the crown as Field-Marshal Zarkradar’Akhan had done. His appointment to Field-marshal shall bring much-needed change to our grand army but let him assure all of you, the honor and traditions of our army shall be preserved. Such is the will of the people, the crown, and the Gods. But faith alone cannot carry our soldiers to victory. On Adhomai we face two enemies. The Al’mariist hordes and the Republican Army. Let him say this- We cannot continue to fight with single-action handguns, bolt action rifles, and reliance on zhsfram when our enemy produces lasers, automatic rifles, and exosuits! The time has come for a new Imperial Army, one modern and powerful enough to hold against the tide once more."

Questions were raised by parliament members one at a time. When questioned by the Commoner Party on how the ethnic division of the army and the payment for the peasant levies will be affected, Vyakelas stated that he had no interest in re-organizing the ethnic battalions and that payrolls will need to be increased to encourage recruitment. However, Vyakelas’ then stated that he believed the Rhazar'Hrujmagh battalions must be integrated properly as cavalrymen and trained to the same standards. He then went on to describe the issues that came with trying to organize the Rhazar'Hrujmagh to effectively fight on the battlefield alongside regular cavalry. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk stated his support for Vyakelas and his hopes that future reforms will benefit Alam’ardii as well.

Royal Party leader Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh inquired further on just how Vyakelas intended to pay for improvements to equipment quality and supply in the future. Vyakelas stated that he will continue contracts with Royal Firearms but that the New Kingdom must look beyond its borders for new and better designs. When pushed further by Grand Duke Yudenikh, who believed this was not a proper answer, Vyakelas quickly remarked that megacorporations can provide the best arms available at a high cost and that additional taxation would be needed to afford it. This resulted in some jeers from the Royal Party members and an annoyed glare from Grand Duke Yudenikh. The Grand Duke sat down and refused to speak further. Other MPs expressed their distaste for additional army funding and argued that the Imperial Army may not need further support as it performed functionally fine during the Second Revolution. Vyakelas responded by saying that he did not consider the high degree of casualties and the near fall of the Kingdom during the war “functionally fine”.

Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhas opened up the Officer Party’s questions with a declaration that he opposed Vyakelas’ nomination to Field-Marshal. This declaration seemed to split his party as some of the parliament members appeared shocked while others nodded in agreement. The sitting admirals in the chamber shouted in agreement. Dynhas continued on stating that he believed that Mrraka’te’almalik Marrmeladov would be a better choice because of his valiant efforts during the war and highlighted that Vyakelas had failed to secure Amohda for the royalists during the war. This seemingly enraged Vyakelas who began to speak over Dynhas as an argument began. The Queen called for peace and both quickly silenced themselves. Re-composing himself, Vyakelas thanked Grand Admiral Dynhas and asked other parliamentarians for any questions or concerns. Some members who had served with Vyakelas stood to give their support to the nomination, which earned cheers from the Officer Party’s parliamentarians and the Imperial Army officers.

The Njarir’Akhran Renewal Fraternity’s few members voiced neutrality in the nomination. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho rose to discuss with Vyakelas. The two engaged each other on the topic of the Rhazar'Hrujmagh with Count Sanguszkho arguing that they must remain more autonomous in order to preserve their “fierce spirit”. When the topic arrived on army morale the two men agreed that the Imperial Army should use more religious iconography in its uniforms and equipment to help inspire the men. However, Count Sanguszkho quickly angered Vyakelas and much of the chamber when he remarked “It is good that we have received a proper replacement for a mongrel fool.”. Immediately a cacophony filled the chamber as parliamentarians from the other parties shouted their anger at the Count. Some had even begun to fling stationary from their desks towards the Fraternity parliaments who started to rush out.

With the chaotic scene, Vyakelas had taken this as his cue to step down and leave alongside the other military officials. The Mrrata’ke’lik is to be inaugurated as the Field-Marshal in a ceremony on the sixth next to a planned monument to the service of Field-marshal Zarkradar’Akhan.

Rrhazhal Zarkradar’Akhran Honored With Ceremony and Monument in Kaltir, Klyuchevsky sworn in as new Field-Marshal

06.05.2464

Ringing bells signaled the beginning of Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar’Akhran’s ceremony today. As the notes from the bronze instruments filled the streets of Kaltir a choir of wondrous singing women joined their voices to the bells and the triumphant P’rramas joined them too. This was just one part of the enormous motorcade that wheeled slowly through the streets so that all citizens who had come to give respects to Zarkradar’Akhran would have their time to wave and shout praises to the old Field-Marshal. His vehicle formed the head of the motorcade and was trailed behind by the musicians, singers, and several cars bearing members of the Zarkradar’Akhran lineage and military officers. Veterans of the land, sea, and air forces walked beside the motorcade with more joining as the convoy pressed on. By the time the motorcade had reached the palace, it is believed that over 100’000 veterans had come to see off their old Marshal. There they had entered the newly constructed Rrhazhal Square, aptly named after the Field-Marshal, which featured the constructed monument underneath a large white silk sheet. A stage was constructed around it upon which our Queen and Vyakelas Klyuchevsky stood. The Crown Heir Zhakmar Azunja did not attend as the Azunja dynasty believed he would be over-excited by the large crowd. Seating beside the stage was set aside for the members of the Azunja, Zarkradar’Akhran, and Klyuchevsky lineages, the army and naval officer corps, along with all parliamentarians. The members of the Njarir’Akhran Renewal Fraternity were absent.

The old Marshal was assisted off of his vehicle by two teenaged full-blooded Njarir’akhran members of his lineage. They went on with him to the stage to assist their elderly kinsman in kneeling before Queen Shumaila. The Queen nodded to him before speaking.

Quote

"Rrhazhal Zarkradar’Akhran, son of Zuravir Zarkradar’Akhran. His duty has come to an end. As her predecessor King Vahzirthaamro Azunja had given him his duties, she has come to relieve him. His war is over, Rrhazhal. The time has come for him to live in peace. Does he accept his Majesty’s request to give over his sabre?"

A long pause followed as Rrhazhal gathered his thoughts. He eventually nodded and had his kinsmen take the sabre from his waist and grant it to Queen Shumaila. Vyakelas then knelt beside the old Field-Marshal.

Quote

"Vyakelas Klyuchevsky, son of Jajizr Klyuchevsky and Marryam Klyuchevsky, his duty calls to him. She, Queen Shumaila Azunja of the New Kingdom of Adhomai, calls on him to rise and take it. His charge is to protect the Kingdom in peacetime and in war. Does he accept his Majesty’s request to take up this sabre?"

Vyakelas nodded. The Queen motioned for both of the men to rise and granted the sabre to Vyakelas who slung it into his waist. Then in a grand display, the silk covering of the monument was let go to unveil the statue underneath. A magnificent black stone pillar rose several meters above the square with a beautiful copper statue of Rrhazhal Zarkradar’Akhran staring into the horizon atop it. It is believed that the statue will eventually rust into a wonderful patina. With the ceremony concluded Rrhazhal and his kinsmen departed amidst roarous applause. Field-Marshal Vykelas Kluchesky is expected to begin his duties after a gala in his and Rrhazhal’s honor.

Royal Army Reveals New Railroad Cannon

13.05.2464

The Royal Army has successfully tested today the product of its most recent development efforts: a massive railroad cannon. The Big Alzrun, named after the grandfather of its main engineer, is a fifty meters long and fifteen meters tall artillery gun. Due to its size, it must be carried to its firing position by an entire train, where it will be assembled by a team of thousand workers. Thanks to its large caliber, the Big Alzrun's firepower is unmatched by any known gun in Adhomai. Its shells are larger than a Tajara and require a system of cranes to load. The weapon also has its own anti-air batteries mounted alongside its chassis.

The testing was done on the outskirts of Dymtris. Queen Shumaila Azunja, alongside Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky and Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas, were present during the demonstration. The cannon fired two shots on a target sixty kilometers away. The test also proved that the rounds can penetrate even the mighty fortifications of the Vlrralkhzazhul Line.

While Big Alzrun was not discussed in the Parliament, some of the parliamentarians commented on its reveal. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas praised the army's effort in developing new weapons. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh commented on the economical benefits of having a well-funded military industry. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk called the gun a "waste of valuable resources". Count Tscherim Sanguszkho suggested shipping Big Alzrun to the North Pole for further testing.

The test did not go unnoticed by the locals. Some locals, upon hearing the explosion caused by the gun's impact, believed that the Kingdom was being attacked by nuclear weapons. These individuals rushed to Dymtris, requesting to be let in the incomplete city's Bunker System. The rumor quickly spread through the city and a crowd formed before the building site. Only after the Constabulary arrived did the citizens learn about Big Alzrun's testing.

So far, only one massive railroad cannon has been built. It is unknown if the army has plans to construct more.

Kaltir Imperial Palace Opens to the Public

18.05.2464

Built during the Gunpowder Age, the Kaltir Imperial Palace served as the seat of the old kingdom's government until the conquest by the Hadiist invaders. During the occupation, much of its precious furniture and works of art were destroyed or went missing. With the rightful restoration, Dymtris Construction and the Miran'mir Academy's Restorers worked tirelessly to bring the monument back to its former glory. Currently, the building serves as the home of the royal family. Today, a section of its halls will be open for public visitation.

As a way to raise more funds for the ongoing restoration and recovery of lost artifacts, Her Majesty decided to allow paid, scheduled visits to specific areas of the Palace. Visitors will be given the chance to see the interior of the building and some of its artifacts. Members of the Miran'mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits will be present to act as guides. Aliens are also allowed to take part in the tours. Tickets can be brought with Knuckles or Credits. Each visit is expected to last two hours.

The first tour involved Her Majesty, the Crown Heir, the party leaders, some select high-ranking nobles, and Idris representatives. During the visit, the guide introduced the guests to the history of the palace and its importance. They walked through some of its rooms, where they appreciated century artifacts and paintings. The excursion ended with a picnic in the Palace's garden. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh praised Her Majesty's investments in tourism. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas complained about "allowing aliens to desecrate a national symbol with their presence". Prince Serhiy Oliinyk commend the efforts in preserving a historical building but had some reservations about the admission price. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho suggested adding a section explaining the ancient origin of the Njarir’Akhran race.

The price of the ticket was considered to be expensively prohibitive to commoners. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk further criticized the fee as "another way to restrict the access of the masses to their culture". However, the possibility of visiting the Imperial Palace was well-received by the nobility; the next two months' tours have been already fully booked. The Crown is currently negotiating with Idris Incorporated to include the Palace's visit as an option in their Adhomian touristic packages.

Corporate Forces Arrive in the New Kingdom

03.06.2464

As part of the Kingdom's deal with the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate, Private Military Contracting Group's forces arrived today in Kaltir. Two battalions of the Nexus Corporate Security disembarked at the capital's spaceport. At the request of Her Majesty, only the NanoTrasen contractor will operate within the Kingdom for now. The other subsidiaries were considered unsuitable for the situation or too politically controversial with the Parliament. Currently, the officers are staying in the city until a train can be prepared to transport them to the Borderlands.

The Crown plans to deploy the PMCG to guard the Constabulary installations to free more manpower for operations against the Front. For now, corporate security is restricted from directly engaging and taking part in offensives. However, the contractors are armed with lethal weapons and have the permission to use them if attacked or when protecting the Royal Constabulary. Queen ordered the Royal Peacekeepers to collaborate with the Military Contractors as long they stay in the Kingdom.

At the Parliament, Prince Serhiy Oliinyk and the Commoner's Party urged the Crown to keep an eye on the PMCG's actions in the Borderlands; he cited the actions of the Eridani forces during the Second Civil War as an example of typical mercenary behavior. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho agreed with the Commoners Party. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh argued that Nexus Security is far more professional than any other group. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas suggested using the military if the corporate interference fails. SCC representatives recommend hiring more battalions if the current deployment is ineffective.

Despite the growing corporate presence in the Kingdom, most of Kaltir's locals were wary of the PMCG agents' presence. Some argued that the situation might be direr than imagined for the Kingdom to require off-world mercenaries. The Crown expects to fully deploy the contractors in a matter of weeks.

Auxiliary Forces Dispatched to Aid Polar Expedition

09.06.2464

By the orders of the Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky, the Royal Army announced the deployment of Rock Nomad Light Cavalry and Zarr’jiri Troops to Little Kaltir. The idea came from Captain Tajrhalrr Zarkradhir, who requested support from the army during the searches. The military plans to put the Auxiliary Forces' skills to great use in the arctic. The Zarr’jiri will be tasked with foraging and pathfinding, while the Nomads will handle the supply sleds. With these reinforcements, the Navy can reduce the number of sea patrols in search of the missing crew.

The deployment was well-received by most of the Parliament. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh praised the collaboration between the army and the navy. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas commented that the Field-Marshall was "only doing his duty, and should not expect any kind of favors" but did not oppose the transfer. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk argued that the Auxiliary Battalions were underequipped for the task and deserved much more investment into their gear. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho suggested sending more Njarir'Akhran to the expedition so they may attune with their ancestral roots; this comment left most of the Parliament confused. Queen Shumaila Azunja supported Klyuchevsky's decision. Rock Nomad representatives agreed on the deployment after a brief private meeting with Her Majesty.

The Auxiliary Forces are set to depart on the next convoy to Little Kaltir. So far, no other leads to the missing expedition have been found. However, the news of the reinforcements rekindled the mission's hopes. Yevgeniy Chalnik commented, "he is glad the Crown did not forget about them already."

Her Majesty Visits the Kaltir's Bunker Construction Site

18.06.2464

Her Majesty, the Crown Heir, and Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh visited the Kaltir's Bunker Construction Site today to assess its progress. Accompanied by representatives from Dymtris Construction and protected by Ras'nrr Expeditionary Marines, they first met with some of the workers and inspected their accommodations. Grand Duke Yudenikh called the barracks "adequate" and the meals served "quaint"; Queen Shumaila Azunja did not comment on the lodgings.

The group then visited some of the finished bunkers and halls. Dymtris Construction liaisons explained to Her Majesty the procedure of sealing the vault and how some of its mechanisms worked. They ate some of the food selected for stockpiling: canned earthen-root stew and some canned fermented hma'trra meat. Queen Shumaila and Crown Heir Zhakmar also wore gasmasks specially designated in case the ventilation system fails. When attempting to remove Zhakmar's mask, the buckle became tangled with his fur. The incident caused much distress to the Crown Heir, who cried profusely as a piece of his hair had to be cut to free his head from the cover.

The tour ended after Her Majesty saw some of the under-construction tunnels. Dymtris Construction promised that the first batch of Kaltir's bunkers will be finished next year. These shelters will allow the Kingdom to safeguard all of the Azunja Dynasty, the parliamentarians, and their families. The expansion to house the rest of the nobility, government, and commoners will come next.

Upon leaving the shelter system, Her Majesty was faced with a crowd outside of the construction site. A demonstration, protesting the strike crackdown that happened in the city a year ago, quickly appeared upon hearing of the Queen's visit. The protestors demanded justice for the workers who were killed during the confrontation and accused the Crown of failing with its promises. Protected by a cordon of Expeditionary Marines and Constables, Her Majesty, the Grand Duke, and the Crown Heir quickly made their way to an armored Pryzark-19 waiting for them. On the way, Zhakmar was hit by a zhu'hagha nif pod thrown from the crowd.

In an official announcement, Queen Shumaila claimed to be pleased with the current status of the Bunker project. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh attributed the steady progress to the expertise of the megacorporations involved in the construction.

Tourism to Tunguska on the Rise

25.06.2464

Since the end of the war, tourism has been on the rise in the Kingdom. Tajara and Alien alike come to visit the nation's historical buildings, monuments, and restaurants. For some, the traditional attractions are not enough. A more adventurous brand of tourists is becoming more common: those who seek to visit the ruins of Tunguska. Once a remote Hadiist base located at the extreme north of Harr'masir, the area was abandoned by the Royal Army after its capture in 2459.

Reaching Tunguska is not an easy task; very few are experienced and brave enough to reach it. However, a small tourist agency in Miran'mir is now offering a guided tour of the ruins. Located in a tiny office in the city's port, Northern Wonders is an enterprise specialized in bringing adventures to the most remote places of Adhomai. Founded by a retired fisherman and his sons, the agency is currently offering a trip to Tunguska at promotional prices. Yaqut Dimashqi, the owner of Northern Wonders, spoke about the origins of his business:

Quote

"It first began when he was contacted by some people who heard he knew how to reach the ruins; they were told he was an experienced sailor. That is true, he knows the Adhomian seas like it is the palm of his own hand. He found a guide to help them out there. After they returned, they told others about it. When he noticed, he was a reference for those who wanted to visit Tunguska. One of his youngest sons gave him the idea of opening the agency and hiring more Tajara to bring the tourists up north. They even have an extranet site now!"

Anyone planning a trip to Tunguska with the Northern Wonders must first deal with a long waiting list. After the schedule, the tourists will board one of the agency's ships in the Miran'mir's harbor. Before they set sail, the captain always makes an offering to Minharrzka for a safe journey. At Tunguska, the visitors will be able to explore the ruins and camp in the area for up to three nights. Supposedly, it is possible to experience unexplained phenomena and events in the region, including visions, disembodied voices, and strange lights.

Arndt Nestani, a Biesellite student, who just returned from Tunguska with a group gave a testimony of his experience with the ruins:

Quote

"It was really strange. The place is desolate with all the abandoned buildings and equipment left behind. During the day, it is normal. We saw some really cool planes and even climbed on a tank. But at night, some really weird stuff happened: we heard someone speaking in Siik'maas - something that our guide refused to translate - outside of our tent and there were some flashes of light on the horizon. We had to leave in the morning because of a storm, but it was a wild experience; I want to go back someday!"

Besides Northern Wonders, some independent guides and captains are also offering their services to Tunguska. The Royal Navy officially advises against visiting the ruins.
