Korinra
Remove them... seriously that's my request. EVERY single round I've played Xenobotanist, three carp spawn there and no one ever kills them. So PLEASE for the sake of science, remove the windows. They serve no purpose, and just make me into Carp food or force me to leave my office (on the OFF chance I actually HAVE power). Please dad? Please let me have a shift where I can stay in my office for a bit? Link to comment
Nanako
carp are a low enough threat as is, xenobotany is one of the few places that ever has to deal with them. I am against reducing their power any more. if security aren't killing them, thats their fault. Complain about them and demand assistance Link to comment
pickled_tomato
I've noticed that it's more of a problem in dead-hour when there's a lack of security, but I agree that it's annoying when they breach. This being said, most of the windows on the station don't serve a purpose, and Xenobotany's certainly not exclusive in the fact that carps attack the windows in it. I believe that you need something to antagonize you during the shift. Whether that's carp or not, I don't know. It also gives engineering more things to do while on this subject. Carps require a reaction when they do things like this, and I think that's valuable. Link to comment
Scheveningen
It takes a solid minute for a carp to break through a window, a grille and another window to breach into a department with a window view. And by the time you hear or see it you should probably not be in the room. This can be entirely avoided by walking out of view of the space carp, with luck their shit mob pathing makes them try to chase you into a corner of a wall in outer space, and they stop hitting the windows. They drop aggro like MOBA creeps. You can then call security to deal with it using a laser gun. Link to comment
Juani2400
Given to the current development plans, I really doubt this will be implemented. You won't encounter this issue again, soon. Link to comment
Alberyk
For the same reason that juani stated, I am also voting for the dismissal of this suggestion. Link to comment
