Fire and Glory Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Now that sunlight has been killed because it lags the game or something, navigating upwards on the asteroid is truly a pain in the ass, almost pure trial and error. There was talk on the discord a few months back of adding a UI indicator that would tell you if there is a gap above you or not and I would like that now.
ForgottenTraveller Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 A look up verb that highlighted holes or darkened non holes when toggled would be nice for miners and engineers. I would side with dimming non holes in shadow similar to how shortsightedness is done. Meaning the player would have to focus on one more than the other, meaning it comes at a cost of just having it on all the time.
Zundy Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 We have the move up function don't we? Press that and it says what's above you.
Kaed Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 We have the move up function don't we? Press that and it says what's above you. I'm pretty sure people wanted to be able to know where holes were without bonking into the ceiling one tile at a time for ten thousand years.

Yeh, it's better to have a UI element that'll change and grab your attention while you're moving around rather than constantly pushing a button to find out.
