Nik Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Currently, we have an issue that the back cells on the left actually lack any means to RP in, as you'll be out of sight of any other players. Besides for the fact that it means the being arrested loses RP value, it also means that those particular criminals can easily escape, if they have the means. It's dumb. I liked it better when you could see them from the lobby. Or when they were in sight of the Wardens office. I suggest moving them back to where they use to be, and switching the locations of the Evidence storage and holding cell to there. Ignoring the gore, this set up sucks. It sucks butt.
Guest Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 It was moved because it was ridiculously easy to break people out of prison, and the bottom windows from before were out of security's general vision.
Susan Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Remove cells entirely, remove perma, engage communal brig mode. EXAMPLE
Covert0ddity Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I am actually really liking that prison, Sue.
Lady_of_Ravens Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Ooooh, I really like that too. I'm not sure communal brig is the way to go... I can see that advantage in terms of RP for prisoners, but how would the timers work if everyone has access to the main room? Or wouldn't they? I'm a little confused about that. Also, I'd change what I assume to be the visitation room to have an intercom system rather than a window with a table. Easier to monitor that way, and harder to break out of.
Valkrae Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 It scares me how much Sue knows about Police, Prisons and other law enforcement information.
TishinaStalker Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I wouldn't want to fuck with Sue. When Sue first heard of the live autopsy, she gave Drew and I a forty minute discourse of how to properly conduct an autopsy, starting with how to remove every single organ from the cadaver.
LordFowl Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) Is the prison meant to be open to the pitiless extent of the darkest void? Or are there meant to be windows there? Also, in the maintenance tunnels to the left of the brig there is meant to be an airlock. (That strangely enough wasn't bolted and didn't cycle, so you could just open both of them at the same time. it was right next to the prison infirmary on our current map). Otherwise, communal brig is pretty rad. It means its not a death sentence for anyone that is sent to the brig that didn't shove a pickaxe up their arse beforehand, because now you can arpee with others. EDIT: Your brig also appears to be missing a solitary confinement cell, although I do suppose that is somewhat counter to the point. Edited January 12, 2015 by Guest
Eliot Clef Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I love everything about this. Lord Fowl: There are two solitary cells along the lefthand side of the security area.
Nik Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 Is...this the new map? Can...we have this now? I really like that.
Skull132 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Is...this the new map? Can...we have this now? I really like that. This is the suggestion forums. The new map has no place here. It is the current map, modified with a new proposed security layout.
Guest Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Anything that's "upcoming" is put into Projects.
Guest Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 yeah no you're not allowed to have nice things and ideas here and take credit for them
Nik Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 To this day I have only had one change occur, to my knowledge, which was bitching that the gas tanks should have a short time before they actually explode after clicking them. Yeeeeeeeeeah. But I'd like to see Security be less butts currently.
