  1. Then I will attempt to give those examples as best my memory serves Blatantly disregarding Standard operations in Safety and Equipment use, causing many issues with bringing harm to yourself and others. I have had to, twice, come find you dead as a door nail on the asteroid, because you didn't take enough air or supplies to survive out there. Ignoring and/or fighting against a superiors direct and valid orders on multiple occasions when not Antag. I've given you an order to not let your biological experiments run rampart in the station proper. You ignored that order and said "Its not causing any harm!" And got very irritated with the security and Heads of Staff when we forcefully started ripping your plants up out of the hallways, for the rest of the shift you made less than mature remarks over the radio about it. Acting like a child in most situations when involved with your shenanigans. See above Destroying Research objects such as artifacts to "Get to the good stuff at the bottom' As your Research Director, Not one but two shifts in a row I had to get onto you for Breaking asteroid rocks with artifacts in them just to get to the anomaly at the bottom. You threw away what artifacts you actually found like it was trash.
  2. I'm going to be one hundred percent honest here. -1 I do not think you nor the Character you applied with have the maturity required to become a Head of Staff in any capacity. I do not have round specific examples of the shenanigans you and your character has done, but things like the following: Growing biological experiments outside of the designated Biology zones, causing IC biohazards across the station Blatantly disregarding Standard operations in Safety and Equipment use, causing many issues with bringing harm to yourself and others. Ignoring and/or fighting against a superiors direct and valid orders on multiple occasions when not Antag. Acting like a child in most situations when involved with your shenanigans. Destroying Research objects such as artifacts to "Get to the good stuff at the bottom" And on top of all that, I have watched your employment records very closely in game. My first complaint ever with you was your age versus your job. I've seen you have finally made your character at the age of 35 which is appropriate for your job, but you've been seen with her at 18 and acting god awful with your RP about it.
  3. I have room for potentially one more person though, We are not starting yet in any moment soon, so other slots may open up between here and there.
  4. This will be all sessions, depending on my ability to run the game, it'll be once every week or so. The sessions will be about 4-6 hours each. As for safe? Well, how safe are you going to play your character? My games are mostly free form, I may throw objectives at you but for the most part its the party that decides the when, where, and how. If you die, and your party can't get you to and pay for your cloning, then you're dead son.
  5. Hi folks, Taintedglory here. I'm looking for about 3-5 people for an occasional TTRPG style game, where you can bring in your favorite SS13 character to the table and RP them out with dice, adventures, and shit outside of the station itself. It'll be focused on exploring uncharted places in Tau Ceti for Nanotrasen profits! I'll teach you all the system, give you the books, show you the ropes and all that shit. I just need your willingness to learn, and your wanting to be friends with other for this endeavor. This system will be a Palladium RPG system, Rifts and Robotech mixture. I'll give you all the books you need to know, and make sure you absolutely know how to play before we run into the meat of the game. Like I said, SS13 THemed, but it wont be on station at all. You won't be visiting Aurora/Exodus and doing anything there, its all going to be Off-Station Non-Canon adventures. Hell, maybe it'll give you some time to flesh out a character and get inspiration for a background. Let me know here if you want to play, Contact information on Discord is a must. I'll choose about 3-5 people, no more than that, if we get that many at all. Small Edit: Twenty years of fucking DMing under my belt. I should know what Im doing.
  6. I look at it like Garn looks at it, because of mechanical limitations of the game Sol Common is this weird fucking miss-mass of earth words that make no fucking sense. If you read it from another races point of view it sounds like crazy people talk. Literally sounds like crazy people. In Tau Ceti, when you speak spanish, you're just literally injecting spanish into your words. You're not speaking tau ceti at that point, you are speaking spanish in your Tau Ceti sentence. Going "Dios mio my friend." In Tau ceti, to a none tau ceti speaker, should sound like "Dios mios jea farafarara" Or whatever noises Tau Ceti makes to represent its differential language Its the same like in real life. Going "Dios mio mein furher" Is an injection into German. Just because Im speaking german doesn't mean I can not inject spanish into it. THe same can be applied to Tau Ceti Basic.
  7. I mean, I don't know why a drone would not remove a pest. Its a pest on the station that could potentially cause a hazard with Breeding, Dying, Eating, Chewing and disease.
  8. What level does the station and it's heads of staff have to information about this ic punishment?
  9. Reporting Personnel: Sam Lowe Rank of Reporting Personnel: Captain Personnel Involved: (Name, Rank: Offender/Witness/Other (Ckey)) - Biphen Izra, Engineer, Offender, ((XXTheFurryXx)) - Vira Tayrk, Head of Security, Witness ((1138)) Real time: 2-4AM, August 17, 2016 Location of Incident: On Station, Telecomms, Random places in space, Bridge Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault [x]Misconduct [x]Other Regulations broken i101, i202, i207, i212, i215, Overview of the Incident: Will do bullet points, as that works out better for me than Paragraphs [*]Within twenty minutes, hacked a door into science. If so, who?: Was the head of Staff, No one to report to. - Additional notes: I'm going to make a request that this also get forwarded to Agent Hantrrasm of the Peoples Republic of Adhomai for possible Humanitization that this individual may be suffering from.
  10. Now that I am home I can do a full thought process. Spawning at Odin has its own advantages and disadvantages. Pros: -It allows people who want to RP but do not want to get involved with the over arching antag behavior happening on station. Players can log in and enjoy some time on the Odin instead of being murdered upon arrival and then have to sit it out until next round because the round is hostile -You can get a moment to catch your breath and brace yourself for what is about to or is happening on station. Instead of being thrown into the situation upon arriving and barely having time to even load the game, you can take a second to get your hand on your keyboard and your bearings straight. -The ability to customize your loadout before coming on station, so you can get that fashion just right and not spend your time on station doing it, and leaving that jumpsuit on the floor. -The ability to naturally filter Griefers and No-RPers. Most of the time these people are looking for instant gratification in their actions, and the fact that they will have a barrier upon entering the round will make it better. 9/10 they will walk around, confused why they cant access their weapons, and just SSD right there. Cons: -It'll allow some sneaky shit to be done if not mapped correctly. Can spawn in as assistant and follow someone into the security room and grab a security uniform. -If not done correctly with mapping, people can take slots and then SSD, and no one can get those slots for the rest of the round. Needs cyrotubes/admin involvement if that happens. -Could help in players Metaing and have them make Mini-ERT squads, which could cause problems all on its own.
  11. Was the one who suggested this to fowl. Pretty much aurora method all the way. we should have an IC chance to not get ganked upon joining the server. At least with his way we can rp on Odin when narsie has risen or malf has sucked all the air from arrivals. Or yknow, code red why would nt still send assistants
  12. Here's my opinion by using YouTube
  13. Though I will point out I did know they were dead. I knew ahead of time sending them in was signing their death warrant. But I didn't alert anyone until the second murder started on me
  14. Just because the character's nice to some people, doesn't mean they're nice to others. I didn't say nice, I said good. They have no done anything wrong from an IC point of view. I have not once seen him do an arrest or a fine on an improper violation, nor mistreat prisoners. Whether or not they are nice in the process is irrelevant
  15. I'm impartial to the accused, but I want to speak about the name That keeps popping up, Raymond Hawkins. I've had nothing but good interactions with this character as they follow regulations and sop to the T. That includes the regulations and sop points that prevent to much chucklefucking in a round. We all want to have fun in the game but to much of it can lead to retarded rp. Hawkins helps put a stop to this and if players disagrees with it, then those players should look inward at their actions So I think that the accused should leave this character out of their defense as it would make for a poor defense
  16. While I appreciate your response and your apology, I want to state for the record that asking a Robotics expert and a Chief engineer to look into the AIs programming is not a powergaming move. If I was the Captain of a very expensive space station, and the AI starts to out right lie about SoP and regulations, then Lie about other minor things, then to me, as Captain, means there is a glitch in its programming. I did it knowing full well in a Malf round resetting the Laws does nothing at all, it was just for RP.
  17. Paragraph one and two. I never heard lasers or anything, I was looking at the Medical console when I saw the chemist literally catch fire. So I went to go check the station alert console and saw that, low and behold, the AIs cameras were all broken and the Chem lab was on fire. So I asked the AI why its cameras was broken. There was no response over the comms, just everything in the captains office was locked down. The borgs showed up, I teleported off the bridge and alerted the crew about the AI and Borgs attacking over the general comm channel on a wall radio. Then I fought the borgs to the death, until I drained one of its battery and the AI just declared it dead instead of, yknow, having it put into a charger. But I still died in that fight. After I got cloned, I was arrested on my way back to get my things, and the Diona Star was very adamant about me playing along with some plan on his. I told him to stop, and informed him that the code delta was a false code delta, and that he should just let me go inform CC. INstead he dragged me to the bar, someone stuffed me in a disposal. The Diona told me to just resist the handcuffs right infront of a Borg. So instead of just.. yknow, helping me by uncuffing me and us breaking the borg, the borg sees me right there, handcuffed, and just drags me off to the AI core to be killed. It was a pretty terrible round all around on all parts from my prospective, but mostly on the AI. As for the rest of the round, it pretty much was as Nanako stated. There was very little to no RP from the AI, just, Lol going to murder everyone and everything.
  18. While the nature of SS13 IC wise means that people will form relationships, and this is not discouraged at all by NT, It is discouraged to be procreating on station. Thats a waste of company time. You're allowed you break times to go hang out in the bar or locker rooms or whatever and enjoy some off duty leisure, but fucking in the operating room while Aliums murder everyone outside is definitely not what NT wants you to be doing with your time. The rounds we play in are not the only time our characters are on station. You gotta think about how the round is the shift where things ((Usually)) Go tits up and everyone is in an emergency situation. All the other times we are on station its just a normal shift. During the rounds we take control of our characters, do you think our employers want us to be fucking in the back rooms while the Captain is held at gunpoint by a terrorist organization? TL;DR Have a relationship, don't have a fuck buddy.
  19. Im going to make two points here I think murderboning AIs are okay aslong as there is some really good RP leading up to it, and not just a play to win mentality. For example, the AI tries to harass and harm the crew for awhile, then switches over to murdering. Thats fine. My second point is I think AIs should stop fucking murdering the fuck out of people within like, 30-45 minutes of round start. Literally nothing comes from it but salt and shit. You give no one any time to enjoy their round before putting them into deadchat
  20. Im quoting the OP so he maybe sees it in his Inbox that his thread is getting activity.
  21. I mean, Unless the Cyro liquid is proven to be conductive, it wouldn't harm the IPC in any way You can submerge a real life computer in Mineral Oil, and a few other oils that I cant remember off the top off my head. Also some other liquids too, but I can't remember. However, its still a weird and dumb SS13 logic thing that probably wont even be even bothered with.
  22. Technically, Security does not have to respond to a slime outbreak. Technically speaking, if its still within Research, the Research wing is supposed to do an emergency lock down and everyone inside is just supposed to die horribly. People who release slimes is something that should just be talked to, not banned. I mean, if we do this same line of thinking, Phoron researchers, Atmos techs and engineers need talking to when they release phoron by accident
  23. Please OP, don't abandon thread so soon.
  24. What edition?
  25. REading it, agreed with it, suddenly crocodile with chicken nuggets on his head and I cant take life seriously anymore
