So I spent the time doing this. I went into the baystation 12 code and exported the warden's stuff directly, and recolored it. I kept the same shading patterns and everything. It is literally just a direct recolor of the red cloth. You can tell I put a lot of effort into it because of the MS paint cropping I did to put them in one single image at an acceptable size. If one of these are accepted, I'll do the item icons when being held/on the map/on the GUI so it's usable. I have the 32x32 pixel files on my computer. So I don't know what to do next. I want it in. One of these in. I prefer the black one over the blue one. Why is the black commissar's blue such a brighter blue, you ask? Because the Warden loves the infantry. Like it? Hate it? What to change to make it acceptable? Go away? You decide.

The only thing that I might really see as a problem, is shooting ANYONE on sight. Which might be seen as murderboning. Otherwise, bravo. I want to see more of this.

You say that but I foresee a lot of good ERT being subjugated to possessive heads of staff.

It's an IC solution to an OOC problem. I don't enjoy it and it makes more sense to keep them above the captain. So my question is, is it WORTH making these changes? Will the benefit of hindering bad ERT outweigh the con of restricting good ERT?

I like Jamini's idea. I've never thought of the security force as being spess police but just as a security detail to ensure station operations aren't disrupted. CHANGE. UP. EVERYTHING. The journalist is a different kind of investigator. That's a media reporter, not a real criminal investigator. Journalists are the ones that ASK the investigators about things they don't know, and then when the REAL investigators find out, they ask them again so that way they can twist the words and evidence in a way that gets them more viewers. Two completely different concepts.

If any of this was waiting on me, I completely support a re-ban on principle of failing to keep your end of the bargain, on your word. That's a big personal no-no. If it's waiting on Skull, then I understand completely as well. He's extremely busy for the last, and for the next few weeks. So I'm willing to wait.

I do not support this suggestion. Blood boil is hardly used and takes effort to coordinate a blood boil cast, or get it on a talisman. If you're caught out on it, chances are you walked into a trap mindlessly or a well-done trap in part of the cultists. I would prefer it kept. Cultists aren't given guns or any ranged attack really. This is an alternative to it, and a creative one I feel.

I'm inclined to agree with Frances, assuming she's not being sarcastic. I don't even care about antag status, as long as it was fun/hilarious. But it was neither. If I recall they were the one that broke into the HOP's office, killed Ian, and stole the CE's ID card. There's no fun in that.

Not everybody is going to be happy, Frances. It is literally impossible. I'm upset. I just want the hardsuit. Is it unreasonable? Other people are upset because they believe Sue is just str8 power/metagaming. Is it unreasonable? I think it is because of my own experience. I don't support all of her actions but I do support most. Here's why. The last two or three days I've been playing warden a lot. I've been doing my job, and I have been gradually escalating force in an inverse manner to how compliant they are. If they are really pushing my buttons, I jump a level to relieve frustration. Not OOC frustration, I think what they do is fine. IC frustration. This is my character canonically abusing detainees and toeing the line on what is and isn't an acceptable level of force, as well as being well within reasonable limits of force. I actually haven't abused detainees because BWOINK but I've been bwoinked for two completely reasonable actions the last few days, both have been labeled "grief" by other players. And that's not the staff's fault, it's the players who cry grief. People don't like it when things don't go their way, and usually ONLY because things don't go their way. People seem to forego a philosophy of "Give me no reason to, and I won't." in favor of "You shouldn't anyway." Give me a good reason not to. And then I might listen. However that doesn't mean that complaint threads should be forgone. If I recall, this server is about the community and when you take away the voice then it's no longer about the community. Unless you have another proper medium for complaints like that. I'll admit that a lot of complaints I see are unwarranted because I like to keep IC things IC, so long as they can be countered through IC means. That doesn't change the fact that the community has a right to a voice. Despite my own beliefs on what an administrator should do, there are instances where they aren't right. I believe if someone can't provide solid enough reasoning for a complaint then the foot should come down saying "Deal with it". People will be upset over that. I was when the administration blew me off in my staff complaint thread. However it seems that a few of the administrators have had a change of heart since then. Why, I'm not certain. My point is, the system isn't - and very likely never will be, if taking example from other systems - perfect. But the answer isn't to take it away, it's either to replace it with a more refined system or refine the current one either through official standards or a standard mentality change. Maybe a mix of both or maybe neither. Could be something else changed with the system or something else pertaining to the community. I don't truly know. I just want the hardsuit. I really, really do.

My concern wasn't the OOC reason for not having it. I knew why. Thank you for the answer I was seeking, though.
