A maintenance drone Sprite for a cyborg is going to be a no-go. If you wanna change this to something else, then you have until tomorrow midnight (EST) before I deny the app.

Just a couple things to clear up: 1) Quiet alarm is an oxymoron in the way that you're using it in your player message. Being picky, but could change that wording some. 2) You understand that medical effects from not using the item will be entirely up to you to RP. You can ahelp staff to help, but they will not be obligated to help. Seem reasonable?

How does this custom item create or improve RP?

... Interesting. Consider your application accepted. If you can get someone to make up the Sprite and code, then it will be easier to implement the item. I'd ask swat about a Sprite since he's a spriter. -

Bran232's Head of Security whitelist application

Application is not up to standards. I heavily recommend expanding all of your answers in the first section (1 full paragraph) and your character biography (2 paragraphs). -

Please stay on topic. This suggestion is not about the decloner or how to kill hulks, but is about adding teranium (an important lore object) to the code for in-game use.

Application Denied. However, please don't let this discourage you from applying in the future. If you'd like to know the reasons behind this, please PM Garnascus and TishinaStalker. It's recommended you contact us, and allow us to offer explanations and hopefully help you in learning from the reasons for this denial before putting in another application.

AEWorthy's Head of Staff Whitelist Application

A single piece of feedback isn't going to cut it as your application seems very barebones. -

Yes, it actually would. Hi, I'm a medic! Lemme inject you with this medi-- Oh dear! That seems to have been a paralysis pen! It's a tool of deception like antags are supposed to be. It has its mechanical use, yes, but you still need to find the proper way to use it. Plus, it's better than simply making it "parapens cannot be used on hardsuits despite hardsuits having injection ports because hardsuits are armored" EDIT: Also, uhhhhh There still exists such a thing as non-medical and non-science. They can find a way to masquerade as science or medical, but they might still not have access to syringes. Your post just kinda sounds like "Well, you got syringes. Why does it matter?" And that's not usually the attitude to take when it comes to developing game mechanics when you can give a mechanic to a different item if that can breed different interactions.

What about my suggested fix for hardsuited people? The only thing said about it is that it's not supposed to be discrete, but I think it's because my suggestion was misunderstood. If you try to inject someone wearing a hardsuit with a syringe, you get a log saying "X is hunting for an injection port in Y!", and my fix was for the same thing to happen with the parapen so that way they won't know it's a parapen from the log, but will instead have to examine/look at you.

Hrm, if I remember correctly, the Odin is more of a civilian hub (identified by having a restaurant, a bar, and a night club on the first floor) from which NT also has the ability to command nearby stations. Unless this has changed recently, then yeah, that's what it is. The ERT Commander only runs the ERT, Odin Security, and I guess most surely the armament side of supplies (such as what Odin sec/ERTs are being armed with). Could also be seen as one of their form of head of staff maybe? OOC'ly the DOs are headed by Gollee; which is who the DOs answer to both OOC'ly (head DO) and IC'ly (CCIADS, I forgot the meaning, ask Gollee) when punishments are to be dealt. Ultimately, Gollee/Felix Walters (iirc his character's name) is who the Duty Officers answer to. Iirc, his IC abbreviation is Central Command Internal Affairs something something. So I guess you could see that as both a head of staff on the Odin and who the DOs answer to. That's about all I can personally answer.

Excellent. That being said, what exactly are your plans for this custom item? Anything specific you plan on doing with it in order to create interaction with others? -

TishinaStalker replied to Xelnagahunter's topic in Completed Items
That'd be my own failure in it, and I apologize for it. Normally I look at applications and wonder myself if work is being done on them because all I really do is accept/deny them. Even with the current minimal amount of accepted items, it doesn't seem like work is being done on them, and that is most surely because the dev team is near 0 people. I'm partially leery to accept custom items because of this, but Scopes has instructed me to keep accepting/denying, and I will do exactly that. Are you willing to keep your app open? -
Actually, probably not necessarily. When you go to inject someone with a normal syringe, you have a log that you're searching for an injection port on the person. That's probably a REALLY small port for a syringe, and that's why it still takes time. Meanwhile, a hypospray would probably have a bigger port, easier access, press, inject. How about, instead, parapens simply have the same thing as a syringe? You need to hunt for an injection port because probably instead of a ballpoint it has a syringe needle, and totally nothing big enough for a hypospray port. This way, you can still have parapens be used on people wearing hardsuits in order to not lose that utility, but it's not instantaneous. At the same time, have the log not show that you're using a parapen. Simply "X is looking for an injection port on Y!" like it normally is for syringes. It still remains discrete.
