  1. Please try to get a bit more feedback. Don't forget you can advertise once per round in OOC.
  2. Application approved. Glory to Aurora.

  4. but of course ignore addressing the first one because we like to be anal about these sort of things :^) Good post, Tish. I mean, I didn't address the first reason because I agree with it? I assumed that much was implied, but if it wasn't, then I apologize. Don't see why you're suddenly getting all passive aggressive with me over it though, but alright.
  5. I think you're taking this the wrong way. The complaint isn't just to remove them "because it's silly," the main point is that they are unsuitable for a serious, professional workplace with the majority of jobs involving the use of dangerous machinery. I won't detail how getting your hair caught can and will have fatal consequences - a simple google search will show you that. And yes, while some jobs don't require the use of heavy machinery, it is incredibly likely you will be around it during long-term employment aboard the station. In addition to that, it just doesn't look professional. People with this sort of hair typically aren't focused on business or scientific work, they're models and performance artists who place value on aesthetic rather than how practical and professional they look. Which, again, returns us to the first point, being that hair of this length is absurdly impractical will get in your way, and the way of others as way, with lethal consequences. That's what I'm saying, Nur'Sie. He wrote down 2 reasons for it, it being unprofessional and dangerous, and the second reason being that it is horrifically pointless and stupid. Both reasons need to be considered equally for his suggestion, and I'm just saying that one of the reasons is really flawed.
  6. There's SO many features, that I hope you are aware of, that are horrifically pointless and stupid too. If this is your basis for removal, then please go suggest for the removal of: Head of staff pets (I think you supported the implementation of Chauncey? Don't remember tbh) Getting drunk from three sips of alcohol Costume crates from cargo Needing syringes for botany nutrients Clown shuttle and Xeno station on the asteroid I'm sure there's more example, but on that basis is a pretty flawed arguement when you consider a variety of other mechanics. I don't really use the hairstyle, but I'm just saying that your current arguement doesn't hold water outside of "it can get caught in machinery and make you trip" which is also kind of meh when it comes to tripping.
  7. Application Denied. However, please don't let this discourage you from applying in the future. If you'd like to know the reasons behind this, please PM Garnascus and TishinaStalker. It's recommended you contact us, and allow us to offer explanations and hopefully help you in learning from the reasons for this denial before putting in another application.

  9. I talked to the player from a power game perspective. When I get to work shortly I will post the note too if that will help.
  10. I knew I forgot to do something. I left in a bit of a hurry shortly after talking with them because my class had ended at that time, and I had to go to the DMV.
  11. Putting a pack in a cactus...?
  12. Can't really blame my skepticism on that fact. Tons of players with custom items, apparently, have a huge problem actually doing anything at all with their item after they get it, and now I have to scrutinize every custom item with more effort than I used to for it; so I feel like an easily breakable custom item can't fly. That being said though, I do agree with Nur'Sie's idea. If you would be willing to edit your post to reflect at least something similar to it, then this would have a better chance of being accepted by me.
  13. This was run through me as well, if you want another name on that list of admins, and I'm also the main Duty Officer admin overseer. I was explicitly informed by Sierra that if you hadn't logged on him, then you would've simply received a warning. I found it to be totally reasonable in my opinion. Logging on a DO talking to you is like if you logged in the middle of an ahelp. If you intentionally logged out on me while I'm talking to you about a rule you broke or I'm perceiving you as being in the wrong, then you're right I'm going to put a temp ban or some form of punishment on you. I, personally, believe you should've had a little more foresight on this situation. You wouldn't log out on an admin talking to you in ahelps because then you know for a fact that you will be punished. Why log out on an IC disciplinary staff in the middle of them talking to you then? If anything, then you should've cleared this up with the DO first in LOOC, and work from there instead of intentionally logging out without any communication. Our staff is much more reasonable than you're perceiving them to be, but you took the unreasonable route in logging out without clearing it up first outside of saying IC'ly "I won't be here to see it" and then leaving. Also, what? I feel like you're being completely and totally irrational on this point. Once again, our staff is a lot less biased then you are perceiving them to be. As someone that chats with both Jen and Sierra on occasion, also as someone who has the ability to see all of their communication on server, and as someone who people complain to about heads of staff (since I've been working on heads of staff whitelists since I was moderator over a year ago), I can assure you I've heard two complaints on Ihihtza as a head of security before and neither of them were from Sierra. That being said, I really do feel like your point in the Additional Remarks section is misguided, and I'm trying to help guide you in it. Could Jenna have handled your remarks in LOOC better? Definitely, and it's situations like that, that staff use in order to improve for the future, and I'll be bringing it up to her. Was Sierra being biased in the handling of your situation though? I don't believe so, especially after looking into the situation and being told by Sierra why he carried out his punishment. Anything else I can do to help you understand on this?
  14. The question is for Conserv as it is his application. I'll be waiting for his response to it.
  15. It can if torn down, but for how long? I assume three rounds in it's just like "Yeah, sec, they broke my property. Brig them" and boom, nothing else accomplished. If this was a character that had, say, an office space or an area sanctioned off for their work (see: A xenobiologist who has a degree plaque as a custom item), then it'd make more sense, and would, most likely, mean more. Have something you can flash, but it's somewhere people can't do anything about, and it becomes that small thing in the back of their head every time they have to walk past or have to come in to talk with you. Getting me?
  16. Ermmm, what exactly is the goal of having this item? Sounds to me like 9 out of 10 times this is just going to get ripped off the wall and that'll be it for the custom item.
  17. I already had to watch all 10 hours of this on a dare from SoundScopes. I refuse to do this again because the song is already drilled in my head.
  18. Ban momentarily reapplied and thread unlocked. The condition for the unban was for you to respond to Skull's post and "I don't understand what you mean" is not tangible enough of a response to it. I'll ping Skull to get back to you on this ASAP so that you can get this resolved.
  19. Alrighty, I'm willing to unban you then. I will unban you momentarily because you are apparently banned 13 times. You'll be able to join in some 5 minutes.
  20. I'd just like to point out that black and blue are the most common ink colors. Literally no average work place explicitly tells you "use specifically blue ink" because it's an arbitrary regulation and really both useless and pointless to enforce. Same thing goes for red and really the only place I can imagine red ink being explicitly used is by an authoritative role to sign/make a correction, but it would not matter. That last sentence being said, it makes total sense for there to be no restriction on ink color, and to only enforce that if a head of staff explicitly tells you "Sign with this color" since the main reason behind that is so that the ink colors can be another point of difference; along with handwriting. TL;DR: Color of ink shouldn't matter unless head of staff tells you sign in X color.
  21. Please get more feedback if you want this to be accepted. You can advertise your app once per round in OOC.

  23. Application approved. Glory to Aurora.
  24. For a book cart, you could just make a janicart that holds books instead of cleaning supplies instead. That'd probs be a better option imo. Then, the way detectors work at libraries is just that they scan for barcodes that were not scanned before blaring. Could make it so that books have to be scanned by the librarian so the detector doesn't go off, and then can link that to the library computer to tell you what book was stolen.
  25. My bad. I've been really forgetful as of late. Just logged on server, verified what I needed, and now I'm just gonna ask you to read these over. http://aurorastation.org/rules.html I want you to tell me what you did wrong and how it was against the rules. I need a better reason to unban you other than "Well, it's been a year, and I think I deserve a second chance".
