Species you are applying to play: Dionaea Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: To the best of my ability, I had read the lore section to Dionaea. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: Because this will challenge my roleplaying skills to play an alien species. It will challenge me to not behave like a human. I believe it will also provide interesting roleplay scenarios being a tree person on a ship mostly populated by humans. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Dionaea are big, slow, curious creatures that are made up of individual, smaller organisms. They can connect together and merge, as they are all destined to be a part of a gestalt. They are highly impressionable, as they are always learning about their world, and they have an interesting intake of how it works. They have a special way of communication called Rootspeak. They require light to survive, and can handle radiation quite well. Why does this species in particular hold your interest? Because they truly feel like an alien species, and the way that they are slow paced and curious, they are bizarre to me in a good way. Character Name: Mauve Foliage (Full name: Mauve Foliage That Blows in the Wind off the Expired Elm Tree) Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs The samen which was planted and sprouted in a hydroponic tray from a curious botanist blossomed a small Diona Nymph. This nymph went around the botanist's work place, flicking it's feelers, drawing out the echoes of memories and personalities of the co-workers. The more as it gathered, the more it grew, and grew, until finally becoming an adult Dionaea. It eventually grew curious enough to leave it's confinements, and peacefully left out to explore. While walking in a rather beautiful biodome, it notice a dying tree out of a field of beautifultrees, that it produced a curious dark colour that around it people said was duller than the more vivid splashes of orange and red. That is where Mauve Foliage got it's name, that in the middle of flash, there is still modesty. What do you like about this character? That they are probably easy going and relaxed. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I have some issues with some things sometimes depending on factors, but I feel like I am semi-decent. Notes: This is my first application. Please comment and criticize, I am open to this.

Can I be, like, open about this. This reads like something out of Futurama, which is a great show. I am amused by the far out concept, but I don't think people would waste resources, money, and time to make an entire planet based off the state of Missouri. In this setting, it really doesn't make sense.

Hello. There has been an issue lately (at least with me) that I wish to address. When there is a shuttle call, people and AIs that are traitorous bolt and/or shocks the door to the shuttles and pods, disallowing escape. To me, this is not really a good idea and the laziest way to traitor. There should be no reason really to hinder escape on a called vote. If people aren't allowed to traitor at escape, then this shouldn't be allowed as well. Which brings up this question: Should messing with the airlocks at escape and the pods be disallowed when the shuttle is called? Please let me know what you think, your opinions, criticisms, suggestions. Thank you.

Chemistry makes some pretty power medication, and it can even stabilize more than the pre-loadout people are usually given as tools if in the right hands. The other advantage you can have with chemistry is how the medicine is distribute. I'm here to talk about the pros and cons of each. Pills: +With a pill bottle, can hold up to 14 pills each +No needle needed if you tending to a character with trypanophobia +Quicker to make in bulk than bottles -You start off with limited Pill Bottles -Some Medicine has to stay in liquid form (cryo medicine, imidazoline) to work. -A set amount, it can be wasteful Bottles: +Bottles can hold 30 units of medicine each +You can mix medication more easier as a doctor dipping the needle into different solution +You have more control over how much medication a patient can have than a set amount -A little bit longer to administer than a pill depending how slow you are with needles -It's easy to splash and waste your medicine if you're not careful Autoinjector: +Fastest way to deliver medication +Can use many different medicine on it if you remove the contents with a regular needle, and refill with said needle +Great for stabilizing a patient for a short amount of time -It's a one use only hypospray -You can only put five units of a solution in these each -More of a limited supply than the pill bottles

A few days ago I was taking a SSD to the dorms after they fell asleep in the lobby. He was a warden, who along with another security officer was going to arrest me on dragging a person to dorms because it was "suspicious". He cornered me into a dead end and stunned me twice with a taser on code green. The rest of the security team and HoS came running to me after I screamed for help, and he was so buttmad about getting demoted he went catatonic. Kane DeWitt and Sarah Scott can attest for this.

+1 Vittorio reminds me of Dr. McCoy from Star Trek, and his increasingly dislike of Vulcans (on in this case, xeno). Some people do not like species discrimination and for good reasons but in little doses I can see it adding some interaction to the round. If tajarans and unathi can say in their tongues about humans and such behind, why can't humans be racist also?
