Over the recent months, I feel like I have really been building up my knowledge of the way things work, especially when the wiki doesn't have the answers I need. Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?: I was trialled here for a week and have also had experience modding high population minecraft servers. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: Not here, no. Personality Why do you play SS13?: I love the sandbox-RP aspect of this place. It has the perfect balance between rules and framework verses allowing creative RP to flow through the characters. Why do you play on Aurora?: I love the community here. Like, I actually do. Y'all have your dramas and bushfires and all that, but the fact that you are all so passionate about it means you actually care and that means a lot to me. Also we get free cookies. What do moderators do?: Moderators are chefs in the back kitchen and the server is the restaurant floor. The patrons that come here sit at the table and are served by the chefs. The patrons and customers are not responsible for maintaining the restaurant and may never see the busy-ness of the kitchen, they are only there to enjoy the food and socialize. When you become a moderator, you are introduced as a chef to the kitchen and all the craziness that it entails. What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: I believe that the staff have a strict moral grounding, made apparent by how they deal with things. I fully respect this, and although I may not always agree with the method of which it is under taken, I believe things like duty, obligation and honor are important parts of being a moderator for this server. Why do you want to be a moderator?: I believe that I can give back to this community in much the same way that it supported me when I really needed it. I have addressed the issues previously brought up from my last application and believe that I now meet the criteria for a moderator. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: I have been especially trying to focus on new people and my conduct towards them. I also have been learning about how to best go about managing my problems and decision making both in and out of game and I am hoping that I have curved a lot of the issues that I had in the past. How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: I have really been working on these. I have been making a great effort to identify where I have been going wrong in the past and rectify these problems as best as I know how. I'm not a big part of anything...Like at all, and I do not wish to be. However, from a totally metal, not wanting to start anything in any way, shouldn't the word "dick" also be excluded for the same reasons as given here?

I am 22 and in Australia you have to get your learners licence first (after taking a written test), keep a log book, logging 120 hours, be accompanied by a person holding a full licence, and hold your licence for a year. Since you can get your learners at 16, technically you can go for your provisional licence at 17. I went for my provisional licence (after which you can drive on your own but must wear a red P on the front and back of your car and have a speed restriction) 4 times, never being able to take the test because of intervening circumstances (the last having a tail light out) My license then expired. I, after a year of feeling dejected, went for my written test twice before I got it, then the driving test twice. I am now 22 and happily driving by myself. In fact, I was parked in this morning and managed to manoeuvre my way between a car and a pole, with a wall in front and not hit anything. Also my favorite food is smoked salmon.

Hello everyone, my name is Charis (kah-ris) and I am 22, a lady and have been playing ss13 since September last year. I used to moderate the Minecraft mod server "voids wrath" and have been playing a lot of mmos recently. My best friend is Dea. In real life, I'm an Accountant by day, though if I had my way, I'd be an aid worker, living in a slum building wells and houses and stuff. I have two brothers and three sisters. My main character Charlie Dove is a spin off of my name, Charis Dobbs. She has, since December, been the one to die third most on this server. Hey, so, I leave for a month and get back and suddenly everyone is hating each other. THE PROBLEM WAS THAT I LEFT. There, I solved it. Now everyone can go home. Reality: what the hell is going on? This has always ALWAYS been a ridiculously emotion fueled game but people seem to think that means it's okay to say and do whatever they want. I have cried because of what people have said here, on numerous occasions and I don't care how old we are, it hurts when someone calls you names. This server was my home when I went through a really hard part of my life. To me, this place has always had the potential to either build people up or tear them to shreds. You all mean a lot to me, whether you've been here since I first joined or you have just joined yourself. Take a step back, everyone. This is a great place to hang out, a fun place to hang out and, for many of us, the only place where we can truly be ourselves. I believe that if you are so keen to leave, go ahead, I'll wave goodbye, but consider this: imagine what this place could be if we stayed and actually tried to work it through? Even if there is very little hope, Aurora is my home and I'm going to go down with the ship, or, if I'm lucky, I'll ride that wave to see that her best days are ahead of her and not behind. Don't give up people, there's hope yet. There's pain in the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Not sure if this should go in hobbies and interests BUT: I am hosting an Aurora poster competition! Bring your art, bring your sass, I'm hoping every one gives this their all. I know a lot of you can draw, a lot of you want to draw, a lot of you think you can draw and some of you don't but I urge you, even if it's just in Microsoft paint, GIVE ME YOUR ALL! The idea behind it is to advertise job vacancies aboard the NSS Aurora. The winner will be getting a special prize that I will announce a bit later. After having spoken to the other person, I shall returning to you, my dear Aurora, in the next couple of days. I will also, though I know I will be waiting until next round of applications, applying for moderator. Thank you all for supporting me though all of this and I can't wait to be roleplaying with you once more!

Guys, you all are very kind. Honestly, after everything that has happened, your words have made me cry on numerous occasions. HOWEVER, I don't want to hurt the other person and I believe my presence would disrupt things in a way that would be more hurtful then not. My aim is to always be loving, no matter what the personal cost. What I ask everyone here to do is not to try and shame that person, but to get around them and love them. Both sides were hurt here and I feel like it's time that people begin to bring healing water and not fight fire with fire. I'll ask that person again in a few weeks if it would be okay to log in as Thundy once more, but for now, this is how I'm going to deal with it. Peace, fools.
