  1. This is actually a really good idea.
  2. Additional type of RIG suit for Robotics to build, in replacement of the Combat RIG and Hazzard RIG. After thought and talks with people in OCC and Discord, Robotics being able to build Combat RIGs and Hazzard RIGs is a TAD OP.
  3. Was told by kyeres that if I wanted this to be canon, I'd have to make a lore canonization app for it.
  4. (Bit of a fore-word, this is something we can use to replace the Hazzard and Combat RIGs from the fabricators in Robotics, so we don't pump out military grade RIGs every 5 minutes) Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): New Type of RIG, H.E.V.A (Hazzard Extra-Vehicular Actvitiy Hardsuit) Founding/Settlement Date (if applicable): 2418 Region of Space: N/A Controlled by (if not a faction): N/A Other Snapshot information: H.E.V.A (Hazzard Extra-Vehicular Actvitiy Hardsuit) It's a light security RIG, armor the same as a security officers armor vest, if not a tiny bit more, it's an up-armored EVA RIG with the ability to mount security equipment. It's a black, possibly grey EVA RIG with red shoulder pads and knee pads with what looks like a built in armored chest. Long Description: The H.E.V.A is designed to be an more protected version of the standard E.V.A. rig that is usually used for repairs and maintenence in areas with no air or are in a vaccum It it usually used by light security forces aboard starships and stations, it is better protected than an EVA RIG with an armor insert, but other than that it's still a bog-standard E.V.A rig capable of mounting light security tools, such as tasers or heads up displays. It is much cheaper than the H.N.I.S but at the cost of protection and the ability to mount lethal weaponry such as laser rifles.
  5. +1 Deridin is a great role-player and I enjoy interacting with his characters a lot, he plays synthetics really well and I think he will be someone great to add to the growing list of IPC characters. I also interact with Deridin when I play as a sec officer and he's great to role-play with, I also intereact with him when he plays Felix, a Cyborg. I have fun times all around. +1 +1
  6. Oh right, honestly it completely blanked on me about his age when it came to when they showed up, I'll fix that with a quick edit. I don't know how I missed that.
  7. Yeah, his speach won't always be like that. Just when it involves security. If someone asks him a question he will respond in kind.
  8. +1 and also what Ping said.
  9. BYOND Key: (byond key) Dark1Star Character Names: (character name) John Normandy, Reiner Rivette, Karthis Tarryk, Jake Jarvis, Buck Woodward Species you are applying to play: (species name) IPC (Intergrated Positronic Chassis) What color do you plan on making your first alien character: (Color of your character; Dionaea & IPCs exempt): N/A Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes, I have read the lore on IPCs Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I bellive playing an IPC can offer unique experiecnes in role-play scenarios. They don't drink, eat or require sleep which can be a big plus at times, they are only limited by their battery life and how weak they are to EMP attacks. They also do not heal like regular living beings, so for them to be repaired, they require being fixed by Robotocists or Nanopaste, even then sometimes the damage is so severe that Nanopaste cannot fix it. (One paragraph minimum) Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: IPCs cannot... FEEL like a human can and they cannot show emotion, like a human can. Depending on the type of model could effect their personality as well, a baseline IPC could be pretty human like, but a G2 Frame could have a very basic personality and not show any kind of emotion. As I said above, their ability to heal does not exist and must be repaired, so in security situations, they would be really good at protecting a point, or just acting sentry. (One Paragraph minimum) Character Name: (Character name) Aquila Please provide a short backstory for this character Created in 2433 2447, Aquila was created for the soul purpose of tactical defence, it has a basic personality, but also being military focused. He was created for many uses, Security, Emergency Response, Military etc. When he was built he was put in a miliary contract and traded around a few military corporations and such, after a while he was transferd over from a military unit to a security unit in high profile areas. During which Aqulla protected several VIPs and people of High Standing. After a lot of work protecting VIPs, he was bought by NanoTrasen and transfered to the ISD for space station and asset protection instead of VIPs. One of those assets is the NSS Aurora Station. Tasked to the ISD protecting the station and the crew inside, for NanoTrasen. (Aproxomately two paragraphs) What do you like about this character? (Describe what you like about this character) I like this character because of the scenarios he could be in and get in to as a security officer with a basic but military focused personality, not showing much emotion and being very neutral about situations. Example would be a situation where someone has a hostage. He would go "ASSESSING THREAT: THREAT LEVEL: YELLOW, ADVISE NON-LETHAL: FORCE" He can talk to people still, but it wouldn't be as human or as... normal IPC would be. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I like to think my roleplaying ability is good, but I'm not going to say it's the greatest, I know there are people out there with waaay better roleplaying ability than I have that I can name off by heart. I rate my roleplaying ability at about a 5-6, out of 10. Notes: I used to have an IPC whtielist some time ago, I don't remember how I lost it and why but It's probably because I did something not IPC like. It was a while ago but my memory fails me. Also, I SUCK at coming up with decent backstorys for anything in any game or RPG like in DnD and other tabletop games. So I know there is room for improvement, but if you can give me some ideas on the backstory, or what I should add to it, that'd be great! (also I wrote this at 12am please don't eat me alive)
  10. BYOND Key: Dark1Star Character name: Jake Jarvis Item name: Woofer Why is your character carrying said item to work? During a shift on Aurora, breeding got out of hand with the HoPs corgi, Ian. Over 80 Corgis breeded inside the HoPs office and spilled out in to command. One officer and cyborg were ordered to "cull" the corgis before oxygen and food consumption got out of hand. During which Jake saved one corgi puppy and from then on their bond grew immensely. Item function(s): It's a plushy... it's a toy, maybe it goes "wuff" when you press it. Item description: A plushy of of a dog that Jake had that went "wuff" so he called it "Woofer" Item appearance: It's a plushy of a corgi, not much different. How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? When people ask about woofer, he can tell them the story but also show the plushy to people wanting to know what he looked like and what he loved doing most. Eating and going "wuff!" Additional comments: I really would love this. I feel after that round, ovbiously you can't spawn with an actual dog every round, so a plushy will do! Attached below is Jake playing fetch with Woofer.
  11. +1 She's a good peanut. Definitely a good expierence when I interact with Thea.
  12. He's a great dude..? Bot? IPC? Idk, but he's fun to be around, definitely roleplayed well, interactions with him have been quite common when I play as my security character Jake. Recently had a Rev round with him and he recrutied me, honestly had no idea anything was going on until he asked me to join the Loyalists. If there is any feedback I could give... would maybe act a little more... robotic? Sometimes I get the feel he's more human than Robot. Anyways, that's pretty much all I can think of right now.
  13. Because he was born during the contact war, and not before, he grew up following his mothers opinion on things, his religion is Akhanzi Order as that's what his mother follows and taught her son to follow. As he grew up, he also learned about other religions and does not particularly frown upon other religions and often supports other peoples ideals. Believing that if people want to believe in what the believe in, they can. But dislikes it when other people try to push their ideals, and openly discuss other religions badly. His mother always told him how the Izweski Hegemony were the good guys and the Traditionalist Coalition were the bad guys. Even if he did not understand them at a young age. When the war was almost over, he was old enough to understand the terrible things that the war did to the people and the planet. Though he hated what happened, he believes the Izweski were right. They were trying to support the Unathi with new technology from Nanotrasen and the Skrell.
  14. Picture appears to have failed to load. EDIT: Manage to get it to load. Yes, that was a mistake I made. I apologised for it. I even re-read the rules after that. Just to make sure I did not do it again.
  15. BYOND Key: Dark1Star Character Names: https://i.imgur.com/NEEaOWa.png Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Dark Blue Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: Right now, I play the IPC race a lot, basically all the time, and rarely a human. I was looking for a new race to play, and after reading all the Overviews, Mechanics and a little bit of each races history. I feel like Unathi will be the next race I should try out. After reading their history, I like the idea of how they are a clan based species, which could really lead to some fun in-game IC troubles. They can also be many heads of staff roles, discarding the captain of course. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The Personality of a Unathi is different for one, their way of showing there feelings is different, relying a lot more on physical interactions, tail, hissing etc etc. they also rely on a code of honour which is also interesting and I would like to see more of the code of honour stuff. Their speech patterns also make up for some interesting IC implications. Character Name: Karthis Tarryk Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Karthis Tarryk, is a Unathi born on, 2438, during the Contact War. His father died a year later, when the Atomic Exchange took place. They never found out what exactly happened to his father, he was set as Missing In Action, but he was presumed dead. His mother looked after him during the war, and like most Unathi during the war, a place to live was always a problem. Living in a poor condition throughout the war like a lot of Unathi during the war was hard. Managing to scrounge up the food needed and having to move multiple times because of all the conflict, all the way until the end of the war. A few years later after the war, when he was old enough to go out on his own, he became a raider. Working as a crew-member on a small raiding ship, helping about with the ships security and maintaining some of its systems. During the day was en-route to their camp hideout area, they were boarded by a rival raider. Karthis watched his entire crew get slaughtered, he wanted to help but hid in a locker hoping he was not found, but they searched the entire ship and found him. He was kept alive by their rivals to warn others about them and tell their tails. After leaving the life of a Raider, Karthis managed to use the money he had to get as far away from his old life as much as he could, eventually he got a job on the Aurora station. What do you like about this character? I like his name, it sounds cool and easy to say. I also like the idea of the fact that he is no "snow-flake". He never had it easy, he always had a hard life all the way until he joined the aurora station. Since he was a raider, he has some combat skills that usually a normal crew-member would not have, mostly close combat. Being a raider also makes for good stories at the bar, if he ever chooses to tell them of course. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Personally, my role-playing ability, from my point of view at least, is a 6/10. I am not the best at role-playing, rarely I will go off-character, depending on what is actually happening around the station, stress levels and all that. It also depends on how late it is, I stay up late a lot sometimes, like to 3am or later. I have heard from others my role-playing ability is quite good, I play D&D a lot but I suppose that is different. Notes: Thanks to Lord Regentess Sleepy, for helping me with the backstory. I would also like to add, yes I am not the best role-player, sometimes I make mistakes, sometimes too many. But I am still learning as a role-player.
  16. +1 My character A.S.M and His Character Ob-Servo are basically friends. We started out being colleagues in the science department, and during a round where the station was basically hi-jacked we tried escaping at first. Trying to head for the escape pods in the command area. When we could not find any other way to get to the escape pods, we tried turning off the self destruct. Ultimately we could not find a way, and that is how an ERT found us. In a top-secret room. With the nuke. Of course, he would help us. But not after he turned on the rooms lasers and almost killed us. Trazz's characters are amazing and so is he.
  17. A.I.Ms Personality is pretty plain. He wont crack up jokes for no reason. He wont go running around the station for no reason. He will do his job. He will do what he is programmed to do. If a person of a higher command asks him to do something. He will do it without question. He is very loyal. but very plain. Stoic... one would say.
  18. I changed the backstory to hopefully something better
  19. The backstory is what I can do. I play D&D sometimes but when it comes to making backstories for my characters? its hard. and making a back story for a robot? Thats even harder.
  20. John Normandy was there too. He also got a medal for noble sciences. but im sure id have to make my own app for that.
