Can you provide your character list as well? Onto the backstory, why was SVC floating in space? What transpired? Who manufactured and owned them? What was their purpose prior to? What are their opinions on freedom? What do they mean when they says this? "I do it for the people, and I do it for the force." What do you mean by this?: Although in game the station is frequently attacked and things go awry, that isn't the day to day. As such I would recommend changing the EMP narrative or perhaps have them work as a police unit on another planet. Why is this?

Hello, thank you for applying. Are you able to greatly expand on the application? Particularly the backstory (which calls for two paragraphs) as well as the question of how they differ from humans. You have an interesting concept however why was TB discarded over salvaging or selling the unit? Nanotrasen isn't in the business of manufacturing IPCs so what was their original purpose? Why were they on the station? Is he presently owned by the scavengers? Why would he return work to a company that had once discarded them? So on and so forth.

Thank you for the adjustments, clarification and overall understanding. A good way to look at the tag system is that it's more-or-less akin to a system of records and a way of identifying synthetics. As such, the tag is really only relevant if that IPC is either owned in that star system or resides there still. If you have any further questions feel free to reach out. Thank you for applying! There are a few issues with the backstory but they're understandable hiccups where lore is unclear and I believe can be tweaked quite easily. Was Cyrus' initial mining company owned by a Biesel based company or the Coalition of Colonies? It may be better to have his starting company and operations be in the same area of space to get around any oddities of one nation mining in another's nation's space. When Cyrus was initially sold, his relation to Tau Ceti would have ended there. Instead of his debt being owed to his original owners, it would not be with the Chief Engineer. However, the Techno-Conglomerate sees synthetics as equal to humans and although it isn't made clear, they wouldn't have the same set of rules of ownership between organics and synthetics. What's more likely is that Cyrus would have been given his freedom while expected to pay back the cost of his purchase to the Chief Engineer. What was the reason for the chief engineer purchasing Cyrus? What made Cyrus choose to seek out employment in Tau Ceti with the NSS Aurora?

Hello, without an expansion to the question of how IPCs differ from humans, the application does not offer me a concrete understanding of IPCs. The passage says the ways in which they're different, but not how they're different. As such I will be denying your application for now. You're welcome to reapply in three days at the minimum. I recommend expanding on the story as well. What chassis is Hopeless? When were they manufactured and for what purpose? Is Hopeless free? If Hopeless wasn't able to purchase their freedom while moving hands, why were they able to in only a year with the Golden Deep? Are they a member of the Golden Deep still? What is their role on station? So on and so forth.

If the developers are wary of adding material scanners back in, I wonder if a reduction of distance on the artifacts would help as well. Nothing is worse than getting am artifact that reads as 200+ away on the meter. If the round is already one hour in, I know I can't get it back in time.

It is the case for every species. If the stars align, a developer might decide to take a look at your species but more often than not they can't, and that's okay. We're all volunteers. I do not believe the question of financial contribution should be answered. Otherwise it sets an expectation that you need to invest in order to contribute.

I believe the above question touches on some topics that shouldn't be a point of conversation in these applications. Lore maintainers are not expected to take on developer tasks nor use real world money on what is an incredibly niche game. Ones willingness to spend money on the game should not be deciding factor. Nevertheless. Mel is easy to talk to, receptive and kind. Are you able to expand on the backstory? Although, if I understand it right, you want the character to be a blank slate. However, more is required from a whitelist character in order to demonstrate an understanding of the lore. Were there any memories they were able to retain that stuck with them? Things either from their remaining days or while leased to Nanotrasen which has made an impact? So on and so forth.

Since I was apart of this I figured I'd confirm my side of things as well. Admins are welcome to delete the comment if it isn't allowed. I cannot recall my exact phrasing in the ahelp, however I can confirm that I sent it. However I did not believe it was my place to disclose just what pulled Oddbomber away from their computer. (In retrospect perhaps I should have asked). I kept it vague in the ahelp as a result. Something along the lines of: "Oddbomber3768 asked me to ahelp and say they're going to be gone for a bit.
