  2. Thank you for being receptive to the feedback, it gives me more confidence over the matter. It was somewhere around a month and a half to 2 months ago. Happy to hear you'll be making an effort to be proactive!
  3. My only experience of Leonard was where I was blatantly ignored when I came to offer him, and his group at the time, a few emergency supplies. I can understand rudeness or preferences to particular characters but I wasn't even humoured with a response and the entire ordeal came off as incredibly cliquey. I do not believe this this appropriate play for a player, let alone someone in command. Being in round means a level of expected engagement with others. In that instance I might as well have been a ghost, and it was quite disheartening.
  4. I recommend looking into past applications that have been accepted. The story is a great place to demonstrate ones understanding of the concepts inherent to Auroran IPCs. Especially given this IPCs age, certainly they've gone through certain events or experiences that have shaped them into the synthetic they are today etc etc. Ultimately the story is a way of proving that the wiki was read but more importantly understood. As such the blank slate archtype isn't suitable for whitelist applications. There's no particular rush on expanding on the application as well. I like to wrap up every app 3 days from when it was originally posted however I can extend that period two more days if you'd like.
  5. Hello, thank you for applying. Are you able to greatly expand on the backstory? As is it is too bare bones and calls for a two paragraph minimum. I recommend trying to tell a story with it. Moreover, for the question about how they differ from humans, you get into what an IPC is but not how they differ from humans. Are you able to expand on that?
  6. Fantastic! Your application demonstrates an understanding of IPCs. Accepted.
  7. Haven't felt the drive to draw in a bit but I am happy to say I am back on track. Hazel #S-H1.02

  10. Thank you for the clarifications. My team is concerned by the lack of the concepts of oppression inherent to IPCs in the backstory however your app still remains strong. Before I move ahead with processing it, I just want to a confirmation from you that since Priestley has acquired their freedom in addition to a different chassis, they would more or less be penniless. If you're fine with that/agree, I can move ahead with the app.
  11. Hello, thank you for applying! Considering the amount of pressure that Zeng-hu places on it's synthetic workforce, how did YG navigate what would have been deemed as a failure by their supervisor?: Why would Zeng-hu give a positronic a bonus? Why would Zeng-hu deem the IPC as no longer relevant or want to dispose of it instead of either moving it into other departments or selling it? Does YG identify as YG or Priestley? What do these names mean to them? Just to confirm as well, YG isn't a contractor I assume?
  12. Thank you for the clarifications. After some deliberation I have decided to deny your application for now. The application is close and I think there is promise however I am not confident that it offers an understanding of IPCs. I will detail the issues I have with it below: The question of how IPCs differ from humans remains too bare-bones and neglects a lot of the core concepts to Auroran IPCs (one example being the lack of self preservation). How do they differ? How does their mindset differ? Consider getting into the details. What does it mean that interactions with organics are volatile or worth getting into? Moreover the application is proposing a character with both a background in mining and xenoarcheology while lacking a concrete reason. It would make little sense for a company to put all the work into possessing a machine meant for carefully excavating artifacts only to stick them into a role of strip mining. In helping their fellow synthetics in District 14, how did they acquire nanopaste? Not to say that they couldn't acquire it, but it begs the question of how they were able to get their hands on something so expensive in the first place. Then comes the matter of the character themselves. Why did they help the synthetics around them? Why did they deem themselves 'Terra' and not any other name? Why does their place of origin hold weight? Consider that everything an IPC does is for a reason. You're welcome to reapply in three days at the minimum nonetheless.
  13. Great work! I'd love to see more!
  14. Where did they get the knowledge for Xenoarcheology? And why? How then did they acquire the knowledge base for both standard research and robotics? If I understand the application, you're proposing a character that knows Mining, Science, Robotics and Xenoarcheology which is not allowed. Can you explain this portion as well?
  15. Hello, thank you for applying! Are you able to greatly expand on the question here?: Moreover, what does the line 'free, and no longer bound' refer to? Why or how did Terra have an aptitude for research despite having previously been built for excavation? Did Terra start out in Sol? How did they make the move to Tau Ceti? When? What is the below referring to?:
  16. Somewhat unrelated to the topic at hand but would the server benefit by instead having hearing aids that are able to hear the radio frequency as well as a text-to-speech box of the same nature? I feel it would clear up some of the issues as well as open up the possibilities for other not-so-emergency services roles that are otherwise barred from having some disabilities currently.
  17. Thank you for the further clarifications! Your application demonstrates an understanding of IPCs. Accepted!
  18. Fantastic, thank you for the clarifications. I convened with my team and we had a few more questions. What has Jacket observed or what has Charles done to cause Jacket's want for freedom? Why does Jacket hold a fascination towards Purpose over the COC or the Golden Deep? Lastly, more out of curiosity, what chassis are they?
  19. I wanted to try and revive this suggestion as I feel an increased use of exploitable information may mean more diverse rounds overall. The current system means digging through a lot of empty records and I think this change may help antags navigate the list easier.
  20. Hello, thank you for applying. Are you able to expand on the question: What was Jacket's purpose and role before finding themselves in a scrapyard? Why were they discarded over sold? What is their chassis? Why were Charles' assets handed over to Nanotrasen with his passing? As another note, I thiiiiink we already have a Roboticist IPC by the name of Jacket. I am uncertain if they are still active so it may be better to consider another name.
  21. I am uncertain what offenses are being levied against me however if I understand right, there is the implication I am intentionally ignoring arguments or weaponizing a player complaint. Ultimately neither of these are true. In all of the above logs, I have clearly tried to understand the points VT is raising and offer discourse, however my questions were either not addressed or met with hostility (see below thread). I didn't 'talk down' to VT, I didn't treat them with any disrespect. Once the argument turned outwardly hostile in my DMs (implying I am trying to deceive developers), I opted to cut VT out from messaging me privately for my own mental health. They are however more than welcome to continue to ask questions and engage in public channels. The idea that I am harassing them with a player complaint is equally unfounded and the details of which can be read here:
  22. Since 72 hours has passed since the initial posting, I'll close the application for now. However you are welcome to reapply at your earliest convenience. If you need any help, feel free to reach out to my deputies @The Stryker or @Tailson or even the synth players in the lore discord. We've got a good bunch of beans.
  23. The benefit of putting it behind ordering is the time it takes for the items to arrive. Between getting command's approval, putting in the order, the order arriving and being paid for before release, it could take ten minutes. Even more if security decides to leave cargo while the order arrives. edit: I could be wrong but I think weapons take longer to come in via the shuttle as well. I could however be wrong.
  24. Personally I would rather keep the roles separate. I feel each has it's own flavour and to combine the roles would more or less mean that we'll lose that in addition the likelihood that we'll have two CSI geared characters or two Detective geared characters fighting over anything that might pertain to their role during the round.
  25. This is a good, clear and concise application. Enough so that my team doesn't have any questions. Application accepted.
