Michael Thorne/Tool is inspired by several people. In his first creation he was very much like Colonel Saul Tigh from Battlestar Galactica, eventually he grew to become a mix between Robert Baratheon and his brother Stannis from the aSoIaF books. Eventually though, his personality was crafted to be similar to Davos Seaworth from A Clash of Kings. These characters all resemble Michael's appearance slightly as well.

Basically, as someone who deals with Whitelisting quite a lot, I've realised that since our acceptance is mostly based on their behaviour and not endorsements. I have come across many people who think that that question is important and that leads them to lie on the app. I mean that grinds my gears enough. But it got my thinking, why is it even there? Like it's not needed. How long a player has been on the server has nothing to do with their acceptance or denial except for the fact that the longer you play the more feedback. So my suggestion is to just remove the "How long have you been playing on Aurora" all together for the ALIEN WHITELISTS. not the head ones, I can see how it might be important on the head ones.

id actually prefer if we allowed changes in the backstory application area. To allow changes to be made in an official manner rather than it just being the decision of the few players who would frequent the lore discussion board, because if we do that then we might as well leave it the way it is.

I can get behind this idea to be honest. A place where people can discuss the lore rather than trying to change or push their own ideas. The reason the Questions and Applications areas aren't the best for discussion is because that's not their purpose. The questions board is for answers, reliable answers not discussing who's ideas are better. And the Lore applications area is for players to create their own lore and get it pushed into Canon so yes this is a great idea +17

I'm more than willing to accept the app but you'll need to flesh out the backstory slightly and add quite a bit more detail to the other questions, specifically the first one.

First few questions aren't at the mandatory one paragraph minimum limit which they'll need to be before I can accept it.

Deleting of posts is only done when the posts are unnecessary and yes certain Lore Staff are given moderation duties on certain sections. For example Species whitelists, lore questions, Lore applications. And with the post Frances I've now decided if it is an interesting conversation it'll all be put on a separate thread in the Off topic sub forum. But there are rules for posting in application areas. And those rules aren't to be tossed to the wind because of interesting conversation. I know this mostly because Tish makes it his goal to delete ANYTHING I say that's remotely off topic then send me a heart warming PM. Tl;DR: lore staff moderate certain areas, if you believe your post shouldn't have been deleted go make sure you read over all the specific sub forum posting rules.

Format needs fixing before consideration. And I'm more than willing to accept the application if Cobra has remedied the issues brought up with his previous application.

Ignore Xander, there's at least a three day wait until processing to allow for feedback. Besides Xander doesn't handle IPC whitelists.

Hmm,. I'm unsure, I like this because like Gunsec it gives more risk to trying to subdue someone. But, I dislike how easy it will for security officers to go down if someone tries to disarm them and they don't get me down in one or two hits. Meaning security will more likely aim to knock unconscious someone who tries to disarm their baton.

So figured it out. It's basically a mistake it's there, a remnant of my old plans of the Skrell homeworld. But I am more than willing to accept it as it's own planet if you two would like to write some lore on it, and let me have a look over what you come up with. Nothing wrong with addition to the lore
