Hi there. So, I managed to explore the vents today during a round as a dionae. Sent a nymph through and explored, and I found a huge issue on it. All of the vents per area are controlled by pressure regulators. This one controls all of medical. Upper level, main level and lower level all come through that one vent. This one here is one of the main service ones. Now, aside from the fact that if someone knew what they were doing, they could seriously mess with atmospherics and/or the connected departments like this, it raises a huge issue for creatures that use the vents. Borers, Greimorian Larva, Changeling Crawling Form, and Nymphs, (maybe others as well) all of these cannot easily get between department to department, which is kind of needed for a lot of the gameplay they bring to the round.

Honestly, that's going to be the joy of playing Yiltz, I think. Going from "Mom says do thizzz, (this being a kataphact)" to being a mall cop on a space station is going to be a super interesting experience, likely shaped by those around them. I, the player, am one hundred percent expecting Yiltz to get slapped with racism at some point, and Yiltz to be like "Ok" but yeah, I'm going to enjoy how playing them shapes them.

Yiltz is very respectful of Unathi honor due to the time spent serving as a Hopeful, and is aware of their traditions involving many things as a result. Yiltz would 100% be more open to an unathi than a dionae for example, due to having spent more time around unathi over dionae, but would not be bothered by dionae unless told to be, essentially.

Why do you wish to play this specific race: Honestly, I would very much like to play a Ta when I gain more confidence in playing a Vaurca, in the long run. I enjoy the thought of walking around as a ten foot tall talking bug that is extremely good at talking but terrifies others. Until I am more confident in my views of expressing an important character as a consular officer, I will practice, essentially, with other vaurca roles. I will be starting with a vaurca officer (bugge) in order to gain the confidence I need in both that department and playing a vaurca as a whole. In a weird way they're also adorable, in a childish way in how they behave around other races sometimes. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The fact they don't really have a great understanding, at least the non-Ta's, of emotions and just general humanity, as well as being used to all shittery as a bound is definitely going to be vastly different to what I normally play. The vaurca I've seen and interacted with on station are different to humans and sometimes seem to struggle to communicate with anyone else. Character Name: Za'Akaix'Yiltz K'lax Please provide a short backstory for this character Za'Akaix'Yiltz K'lax is a Unbound Warrior of Ta'Akaix'Vedhra'rept'ylanze K'lax. They were created and shaped for the purpose of helping hunt down and destroy Lii'dra. Yiltz started off in VR, learning their trade for three years before coming out, briefly being assigned to a Hopeful in the Kataphract chapter, learning the ways of honor and the two sides of Unathi religion (but keeping to their own, Preimmence,) and gaining a fondness for the hegemony energy blade, training whenever they could with it and maintaining a good contact with unathi, making a few friends along the way. They likely would not have tried to tell any of the unathi about their own religion, just because they would have known that unathi are rather sensitive when it comes to it, but definitely would have mentioned it should the topic ever come up. They stayed with the chapterhouse for a year or two until their queen bid them move to Tau Ceti space with other vaurca. They're not quite sure on what to make of humans yet, but they're not too impressed by them, having had a few racist remarks directed at them. Their opinion on Miranda Trasen is that she's just another queen to follow, mainly due to politics and making sure their own queen continues to look good. Politics!
