Originally, it was going to be @Owen and myself handling this post, but since it is withdrawn, well, we still want to post. First and foremost: Aurora does not tolerate transphobia or discrimination of any kind. Aurora also does not tolerate accusations of transphobia or accusations of discrimination, without evidence, of any kind. Such accusations have real life ramifications on people when accused in real life and, in my opinion, should not fly. We completely understand why some people are hurt from this, and feeling betrayed, and we are sorry that staff reacted how they did. More on that below. In future, I have some tips for everyone. To our players: If something ever, ever feels off, please, please report it. Even if it turns into a big misunderstanding, we will never judge or punish you for reporting. To the moderator and administration team: We will continue treating these cases seriously, and when evidence is brought forward from all parties, we take action. We will no longer be accusatory in our own right. We as a staff team have learned from this, both on how to handle situations such as this, and how to handle ourselves in future. Owen and myself have worked together to create a post for the moderator chat which will hopefully see some improvement from us in future, and hopefully create less hostility when it comes to all complaints, not just this particular case. If people are entering other peoples DMs to create hostility, we encourage people who have received such hostility to come forward with their evidence and myself and Owen will take a look at this. At the end of the day, we are volunteers. All work we do for this server, as with any staff member, is volunteer work. We are human, we have emotions, as anyone else on this server does. No one deserves to be blasted in DMs by someone.

But what about pronouns? Did you discuss that with them over PDA or talk ICly?

Did you talk to the character ICly about this and explain your reasoning? Did you perhaps explain what Guwan meant to them via a PDA message or the like?

Normally, if you disagree with a reason you were banned, you normally bring it forward immediately in a staff complaint, but as the person banning you is no longer staff, this is the correct place. I am more than happy to DM you the reason you were banned in game, which I'm sure you can see if you attempt to log on, but yes, you were also ban evading on discord, which we do not appreciate. I will leave this open while I await your response.

Thanks for taking the time to appeal your discord ban. At this current point in time, one line is a bit lacking and doesn't really give me enough detail to consider this, considering your history within the discord server itself. A more thorough appeal in another week would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

Could you please provide some examples of people dying when they could have been saved? What could have saved them? In this particular scenario, what was in the round? Surgeons? Physicians? Edited to add: There are pills around the place within medical. Kelotane and bicard, and there are some other things within the first aid kits. If operations is doing their job correctly as well, they can send medical a supply of things.

Being able to vote restart should be automatically blocked by a moderator or administrator being active on the server. If they are AFK if may still get through (unsure of this).

Hello once more. After I unbanned you last time, Woody41, another account that must clearly not be associated with you, Woody43, joined the server and immediately attempted to grief. They were immediately banned. What's funny though, is someone else was mirrored on their ban, someone with the ckey "Notwoody41." So yes, I don't believe you are true in your intentions, and thus I don't need to be polite to you in response. We also don't handle unbans over discord.

Hello once more. @Jasorn and I have come to the conclusion that we will be upholding the ban. We agree that the ban reason could have been worded better, but unfortunately, we can't edit that. As for the rule in question, rules are posted on the discord channel called rules, as, same as in game, ignorance of the rules is not an excuse. Additionally, Yonnimer posted on the discord at the end of May, stating the exact same thing, as seen here. As stated in the ban reason, you are more than welcome to appeal this within a week.

Locking and archiving.

After a long discussion with @Bear, we have come to the following descision regarding Bava. We will be upholding NM's descision in keeping Bava away from the role of Hangar Technician, due to the severity of the crime and due to how realistic CCIA tries to make its punishments, without completely axing a character. In real life, a crime such as this would get you arrested, fired and in some countries, executed. Obviously, we don't want this to happen to a character such as Bava, but again, we try to keep the punishments as realistic as possible. Leaving the entire rest of the ship open to Bava is, unfortunately due to the crime, is the best we can do. We will lock this in 24 hours if there is nothing else.

As one of the pharmacists in said round, yes, we could make more, but we also use two bottles of inaprovaline to make the mortaphenyl so needed as well by everyone in the round. Its the cheaper option as well, to use inaprovaline already sitting there rather than using acetone and everything else and cost the ship more by ordering it from Operations.

I, personally, would find this very annoying after a bit. I am not a fan of random babble noises such as this for this reason. Can you imagine standing in a corridor with ten people having a conversation? Event rounds where EVERYONE is trying to talk and server population bloats a lot? The noise (and probably server load) would be insane. Edited to add: Also, can you imagine when there's like four mercs shooting people down and security demands they surrender and its just this? Like, high intense scenarios. I'm not opposed to having laughs, chuckles, and like, noise emojis, but constant noise would be a little too much and probably break the immersion of the server, especially when you factor in antags.

Perhaps it was more in references to the Nazi symbolism used in said posts such as these We do not condone this in any way, shape, or form. No. You can stay away. We immensely dislike this, as well as you attempting to ban evade with the discord ban.

More slots doesn't equal more work stations, more gear, more anything so on and so forth to support those additional roles.
