BYOND Key: SinfulBehaviors Game ID: b0m-clFo, and two rounds the day before Player Byond Key/Character name: Masin Macaron [Chef] Reason for complaint: This dude is just...doing the most offputting shit. In one round as Azzam Amari, we had a Ta running around growing K'ois and two traitors attacking people, so I was in maints to make sure there weren't any more K'ois. In the maints for hydroponics, there were bloody footsteps leading out of the freezer, so I hacked in to see if there was a dead body or anything else to narc on, and I found PILES of gibs and blood EVERYWHERE. I asked on comms if we had given some carp to the chefs, but no one could actually tell me, so I went about the rest of the round, assuming it was either from the cow or space carp. Then, I come to find out after the round that Wee Woo had been giving out pets early on, and Masin was VERY adamant that it he get corgi. He got his corgi, then proceeded to butcher it in the freezer, not even with the gibber, but with knives and cleavers. I had really hoped that it was a one time thing, like just a weird thing he did to see if he could do it, but today he ended up doing again, once again going creepily overboard with it. Now, I'm not against someone doing this, but the thing is that...he's never an antag? He's just doing this for funsies as far as I can tell. The other part is that I don't see him doing his job a ton. He seems to get high a lot and slaughter animals, or he's just kinda fucking around in general. In a Ninja round yesterday, he, in the middle of a hunt for infiltrators, proceeded to get himself some chemicals and a few other things, spread them out on a table in the bar, and apparently attempted to kill himself. I showed up to this in the midst of In the midst of the round, while most of us were holed up in cargo with guns after two sec officers got blown up, he showed up drunk and combative, yelling about how he was gonna die anyway, and making people have to deal with him in the middle of a code red situation. Again, I don't have issues with certain RP moments like that, but it didn't seem like there was an actual reason for it, consider the suicide attempt happened before the Ninjas started blowing shit up. Other than that, his behavior is so all over the place that I can't quite get a read on what he's actually supposed to be doing, and a lot of it comes across as a dude mucking about and not wanting to actually RP. The two ways that I'm seeing it are either that he's doing LRP in an HRP server, which is bad, or he's RPing a psychopath who likes to torture animals, which doesn't make much sense for a non-antag, and also seems bad. I can't quite verify this one because it was either before or early on in event, but I believe he also played bartender as the same character, in which he didn't really do his job, then proceeded to get blackout drunk, ending with me finding a noose and an unconscious Pun Pun in the bar backroom then pulling him into cryo because I assumed he was SSD, to which he got fairly annoyed. Now, it couldn't be him, but I'm fairly certain it was due to a similar name, strikingly similar character design, and animal abuse. Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation?: I haven't ahelped yet because I was hoping that it was a one time thing, and when I was made aware of another he'd already logged off. Alright, I've already made my thoughts know the feedback thread I had a week ago, but hey, doesn't hurt to add to the discussion. As everyone else has already said, the sprites ARE well done. They look really good. Just not for Aurora. If we were playing on a server with a pre-Star Trek pulp fiction type aesthetic, they'd be perfect. (Which, by the by, if someone DID make that type of server, I'd be THRILLED.) Thing is, Aurora and it's aesthetic are more modern military chic, like Starship Troopers or Alien. If these were supposed to be vintage guns, like the intermediary between the retro laser gun and our current ones, I'd also be down with that, but as it stands, being freshly manufactured, it doesn't work. Besides that, it also doesn't really work with the general aesthetic of Sec, imo. The bright white, almost Apple like guns do not vibe with what their uniforms, or entire department, looks like. They feel like guns meant for medical. In fact, they look A LOT as the Field Medic weaponry from Killing Floor 2 (pic for reference.) I really don't like the direction the aesthetic seems to be headed. It's too pulpy for a station that supposed to be a fairly serious sci-fi roleplay. If I wanted Lost in Space, I wouldn't be playing on Aurora.

Okay, IMO, I think that if an entity is directly behind you, you should be able to see it. IRL, if you were to have someone that close behind, you'd know it, so having it be a complete blind spot is awfully limiting.

Actually, I realized a mistake. The Sec Discord recommended it be brighter, and I did that as a test. The actual sprites for that gun are not that bright, but I can change them to be brighter before they're implemented, if that ends up happening.

While they're good sprites, IMO they don't match the aesthetic of the rest of the game. Therefore, I decided to resprite them, and after getting some good reception, I decided to make a proposal. Item description: An absolute eyesore, this suit was commissioned by Ozzie from an upscale fashion store in Cytherean Venus. Why is your character bringing this item to work?: Ozzie is a vain man with awful taste, and his thought process is that if he flaunts like a god damned peacock, then people will come look at his wares. How did your character obtain this item: He bought it after his first big score as a merchant, effectively blowing his money and almost stranding himself on the Aerostat. What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell?: Ozzie takes pride in his, in his eyes, absolutely beautiful suit. He thinks people dig it! It'll portray him as a deluded moron who just thirsts for attention. Sprites: Wretched_Suit.dmi

Got back to back rounds where I interacted with Yutani as two different journalists, once getting him into the cult and once just getting his life story. The backstory is really well done and the character is convincing. I was hooked on the story, and the way you intermixed it into the cult aspect, with it preying on his insecurities was STELLAR. You use the me actions very smoothly are and quick at getting info across. Plus, a quick bartender even for complicated drinks.
