  1. Why would they get switched? Just add them to the black wardrobe.
  2. I think it's just the fact that, as soon as the HoS scents what the Captain's doing, he recruits and arms all of Security and attacks the Captain. This seems to be the first thought, rather than leaving it to a buildup.
  3. Also, Evil Dead. Not the godawful remake. I'm talking Evil Dead 3: Army of the Dead. You will never, ever find a cheesier movie anywhere else.
  4. I dislike this guy for disliking dogs
  5. I've currently got a 3000pt Blood Angels army, 1500 of Eldar, and about 2500 of Imperial Guard. >New Necron codex >Newcrons >Tomb Kings !!IN SPAAAAACE!!
  6. The in-game time limit is a year from when you start. The outside time limit is somewhere around a week from when you got it.
  7. Pressgang Cargo into doing something other than riding their MULEbots all day.
  8. Hurrah.
  9. I actually rather like this idea. This helps to expand away from the few characters who constantly become the focus of rounds due to OOC friendships, often leaving others out inn the cold.
  10. I really don't see why this is a complaint. Two people took down a malfunctioning AI using the respective knowledge of their occupations.
  11. There's a section about Loyalty Implants in the old loredoc which I've got a copy of. This might be relevant in describing implants, though I don't know if it's still used in lore or not.
  12. The Prestige - A film about two stage magicians, set in Victorian London (I believe), starring Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman. It's about one magician's attempt to steal a trick off the other, and leaves a lot to be thought about, as well as being entertaining from start to finish. A Christopher Nolan film. Trainspotting - A film about a group of friends immersed in the Edinburgh drug scene. A Scottish film, does a great job of keeping your attention. I also basically live in the pub that scenes were filmed in, so yeah. Sunshine on Leith - Another Scottish film, about two soldiers returning home to their families. Fun fact: I'm in this film.
  13. If you slip yourself in between myself and Wer on the rotation, meaning you get the next turn, you're welcome to, I think.
  14. Here's a question. How did you know he deathstung the Warden? Had you seen a deathsting used before? How did you know what a deathsting is? How do you know the Warden didn't just take a fit? Edit: I had no idea that was a feature. Ignore this post.
  15. Because SSDs are players who have a chance of cooming back to the round. That's why we don't touch them. Please stop being rude, it's not pleasant to read. I noticed you said something during the round about Negating all RP for Jamison once he was monkey-cubed. During the incident in the brig (I was the Warden,) I was murdered with an impalement or something while trying to place a tracking implant in Jamison. I was then out of the round for about an hour, as we had no geneticist to revive me. I didn't see you defending me getting murdered or losing all of my chance for any RP. Can I ask why? I said this because, as a round antagonist, they're there to create conflict and roleplay. I'm concerned about this issue because there was absolute zero reaction shown to someone exploding in a shower of gore due to a monkey inside them, as well as the seemingly random feeding of the cube. There's also a difference between a crewmember, a non-antag removing someone permanently from the round, and an antagonist doing it.
  16. Personally, I really don't see using the transformation sting on monkeys as powergaming. It's purpose is to transform. It allows the antagonist access to more stings which can help further the round, and also avoids taking other players out of the round for an extended duration. Considering lethal force had been used against Stamos, it's well within his rights as a round antagonist to move to a more serious method of staying alive and continuing the roleplay. I'm more concerned about the guy who randomly fed Mirk a monkey cube, to be honest.
  17. Suggestion: Merge the CSI and Detective offices into one, seperate their two areas by a windoor they both have access to.
  18. If you put multiple IDs in a wallet, it'll show only the first one, but give you the access of all of them inside.
  19. You already leave fingerprints on a door if you try and open it, or glove and clothes fibres.
  20. Ckey/BYOND Username: Chaznoodles. Position Being Applied For (coder, mapper, spriter): LoreDev. Past Experiences/Knowledge: Huge hand in Apollo/original Aurora server lore, writing settings for DnD, acting experience. Examples of Past Work: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BvuBuhRrFwtHfi7GgUsaAmOgh__CBLS4RNpWf8l8sTI (If you guys touch this doc I swear to god) Preferred Mode of Communication (Skype, Steam, etc.): Any. I'm available on most platforms you can find. Additional Comments: I feel that Aurora lore has became stagnant, in that it seems to be more about creating as many scrictures as possible and restricting the freedom of players within reason. I want to assist in changing this, to create a more fun environment for all who are involved.
  21. Those icons look absolutely fabulous, and it's good to see a whole host of background experience. I'm sure Rech would be an amazing member of the developer team.
  22. I'm with Doom on this one. Over the course of the past couple of months, I've noticed a growing amount of hostility and, to put it bluntly, elitism within the community. I was talking to a few ex-servergoers who said they'd left due to this, and I'm sure there's more, including myself, who feel that it's gotten to a point where it's pushing people away. It needs solved, and the only way to do that is for the community members who have developed this attitude of elitism to drop it.
  23. Is this ever going to happen ;_;
  24. I attempted to contact your compadre and talk about this at the time, but they had already logged. I perfectly understand where you're coming from in this thread, as well as the opposing side. Sometimes, the staff might come off as harsh, but that's alright, and so is feeling the way you're feeling about this. At the end of the day, we're all here to have fun, and a lot of that comes through creating fun for others, who will create it for you. If I may ask, and I understand that you've said you probably won't use this character again, would it be possible for you and your fellow to try and integrate with the players of Auroras, before trying to create conflict? You gave it a good try which is nice, but it could just take a little bit of getting to know the players before it works! As one of the staff members online at the time of this, the message I got from the reporting players was that you had been doing this for roundup round, which is apparently not the case, as far as I can see. This seems to be a little bit of a misunderstanding on the part of the staff who took on the case as to how severe it was, and your intentions behind it.
  25. Five days sounds nice. There used to be a restriction of this type over on LLA, and it helped a lot.
