In my opinion, there really shouldn't be a huge restriction here. Roleplay is meant to be fun, and imposing huge restrictions on people because they want to try playing a different race may take away from the fun of it all.

Basically, what Neb said. All of it.
-
Yup. We should be helping people, not restricting them.

Which (fictional) character are you most like?

Sometimes I'm Other times I'm -
I ordered a script off Amazon for a performance I'm doing in the theatre. It came today. It's the DVD of the TV remake. We start tomorrow. Much remorse.
-
I own this. We should play sometime.

There's a lot of things the admins can do, and it's mostly only limited by imagination.

Unbelievable. Apologies to Hive for having to go through this. Fair enough to say, this is not something I expected from staff on Aurora, and I am extremely disappointed.

They look nice and have a practical use, as well as being something that could be used in events. This is something I'd be happy to get behind.

Dungeons and Dragons campaign: Tyranny of Dragons.

Still any free slots left for this? Looks interesting. -
And at this moment, I instantly forgot anything about this being a complaint. You started this issue by being innapropriate and rude ICly, and it was dealt with ICly. Is there any problem with that?

The year is over, and at last I can return to the safety of the Mountainhome, away from this hell-spawned place called Bootlure. The only lure about this place is the masterwork lettuce leaf roasts. http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=10390 Save is here. A lot of named dorfs are dead due to lack of any liquid previously before I hit the caverns, so don't be surprised if you're one of the ones in the tombs. I know I am.

It's cheap because Nanotrasen are cost-cutting dosh-hoarders, meaning it's liable to fall apart. Costs are cut when employing crew, which means we end up with some of the dregs of society aboard working.

Reworking Genetics; Organ vats/growing body parts

Do you mean Kuru? -
This is one of the prime reasons why you don't plan ahead of getting to the station. When it goes wrong - as it definitely will - complaining happens. As a NukeOps, you should be ready to adapt to every single situation, really. Also, a big yes to parts of the above. If someone is trying to be a hero, or not doing what you're telling them to, blow their brains out. You've given them their chance, and it's a bit ridiculous to not be able to back your orders up with some force.

I'm a little busy right now, but I should be able to gun through the rest of Wer's year and my own year in the next day or two. Stay posted. 50/10/26: Everyone is dying off, because we have nothing to drink. The previous expedition leader should've brought more booze. 51/10/26: No, that is the food stockpile, that is not where dead dwarves go. Stop that. 51/10/26: We hit the caverns and water, though it's too late for some. 51/00/09: AN elven caravan has arrived. Fat lot of help that is. 51/00/18: Migrants! 51/01/17: Our bookkeeper was taken by a fey mood. Here we go again. 51/01/18: He made up a giant axe blade out of pig bone. I am done I am done I am done 51/05/02: More migrants. Into the military they go. 51/05/28: A gem setter withdrew from society. Is he going to give us something useful? 51/06/01: Of course not. 51/06/28: MORE migrants.

Return it to using it's previous rounds. In the case of needing lethal rounds anyway, you can just screwdriver the revolver and print .357 from Cargo.

Honklord - NC - Miller (I believe)

Personally, I don't see any substance behind this complaint. If Security did not respond fast enough to a prisoner bolting, and Jackboot shouted out for the prisoner to halt and he didn't, the shots were justified. Also, as LetzShake said, a person spontaneously returning from the dead warrants quarantine. As far as I can tell here, Meowy, you've taken issues which were ICly acceptable and blown them out of proportion in order to create conflict against Jackboot here. It's a bit ridiculous.

Staff complaint: Malfunction round 27DEC2014 ~0040 hrs
Chaznoodles replied to Tainavaa's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
I'd say, as a head of staff, you have the right to redistribute equipment which is destined for use by your department. In this case, I feel that it was blown out of proportion, and did not need to be questioned. RP is supposed to be fun as another character, and restricting things like this prevents that fun from being fully realised. -

That was me who did that, and it was hilarious. When we used to run Martial Law events every couple of nights, everyone would complain, but still want to do them a few nights later! Those were amazing!
-
I laughed. Good post. As far as I'm aware, with current-day robotics and suchlike, people don't want machines in charge of them, because they don't know what it's like to be alive.

Got it, starting now! Unknown date: I finally arrived at Bootlure, and by Armok, it is chaos. Everywhere is a dead end, the bedrooms are next to caverns, and the trade depot is outside! We need to fix that, right away! For the love of Armok, there are holes everywhere to the outside world! FOR THE LOVE OF ARMOK, THERE IS NO BOOZE OR WATER. Unknown date: We got a still up and running, before anyone died of dehydration. Praise Armok. WE HAVE EIGHTY-FIVE PETS AND LIVESTOCK. EIGHTY-FIVE. AND A MAGMA CRAB JUST GAVE BIRTH TO TRIPLETS. 50/07/08: A migrant wave arrived. Let the chaos ensue. 50/07/13: Our Engraver has withdrawn from society. What could this mean? 50/07/18: Our Engraver came back into society with a new microcline bracelet artifact he made. This is not helpful. At all. 50/07/21: There has been a snowstorm. At least it gives us something to drink. 50/07/23: Our food and drink production is getting back on track. We finally have a metalworker, so our armour for our forces is being made. 50/07/25: The eighty-five stray animals are finally being moved to the Butcher's Workshop. Goodbye kitty, hello biscuits. 50/09/17: An uneventful few months. On the good side, the remaining cats have now been gelded.
