Damn son. What was just said. There is no way to be any clearer than that. Thank you for being up-front about it.

Here's the thing. There is a legitimate concern. People post on said concern voicing their opinions. You immediately assume that it's because we don't get along, because someone had a meltdown, and such things, and try and dismiss them? That's not how a complaint works. You say you don't care about how we feel, and that's an issue, because we're a community. You're labeling yourself as the victim here, when you have made so many others be the actual victim both in-game and on the forums. If you say there's been regular complaints against Sue, then why di you insist on calling for proof, if you KNEW there were complaints that you yourself had also expressed? Here's the thing. It's not coming out of nowhere. A brand new player made a complaint, completely unbiased by previous interactions. This started a chain in which people felt they could then speak up without thoughts of hostility towards them, because ig a new player can do it, why can't we? THere are obvious legitimate concerns here which were voiced in both threads pertaining to the complaints.

This seems like alikely possilbility. From my perspective, it seems like players don't make complaints about the player in question for -lack of better words - fear of being presented with hostility or a different attitude in-game. Kek I second this. From what I've seen in previous complaints, they get closed because 'nobody's reaching a conclusion' and nothing ever gets resolved. I feel like this closing of threads needs to stop, in exchange for attempting to assist the players in reaching a decision.

Here's the thing, when posting on a report or dealing with a case, I move myself to be completely unbiased. What I have posted on this thread are my completely unbiased views on this case, as I would post on any other thread, so there's no use in pulling bias into it.

I have a question for those looking at this thread to answer: If a bald Security officer, new to the server, had done this exact same thing, and this exact same request had been posted, what would your reactions be? Thing is, this player obviously does not feel it was resolved ICly, so has brought it to an OOC section of the forums for it to be resolved OOCly. If they wanted it resolved ICly, they would have put it in the character section.

i do not know how many times i will have to say this but the harmbatoning clearly came from the person resisting arrest and trying to take an officer's weapon sdsjkgfjghjfs Actually, the harmbatoning came from Sue insulting the character, siccing all of Security on them for responding in kind, and said person defending themselves. There was no need at all for the incident to have happened, but Sue provoked it and made it escalate to the point of this complaint. This has been stated repeatedly but you appear to be taking no notice of this.
-
Just slot this into workplace harassment. It's ridiculous how much this crime is used to add time onto people the officer doesn't like. Also, see the current complaint against Sue.
-
There was no conflict to escalate. Sue caused the original conflict, Sue escalated it, the person who submitted the complaint did nothing but try and stop what was happening getting out of hand. The harmbatoning broke someone's ribs, which can result in death. That's not minor. I'm not wanting to turn this into a back and forth. I've expressed my views on this and how I think it should be dealt with, and I'm leaving it as that.

I'm saying that a player shouldn't be harmbatoning people for a problem they caused themselves as a Head of Staff, especially as Security. This is the sort of thing I believe other people have been jobbanned for before.
-
If I recall, this is the Inviolate, which all Vox adhere to. No killing, don't leave people behind, etc. I'm rather surprised this was never followed here, because it used to be.
-
If people don't feel that it has been dealt with appropriately, either ICly or OOCly, they are allowed to make a complaint. That is what it is there for. Does that mean everyone who is not playing as an antag should be expected to act like an angel at all times? It means people should be respectful to others. Disrupting someone's round for no reason other than what you caused yourself is not respectful.

I'm rather sure I've pointed out numerous occasions in which Ana has been hugely aggressive with no reason, as have others, both in OOC, deadchat and admin channels. I know I've been on the receiving end of an extra 20 minutes onto a brig timer because I insisted on calling Ana a furball, cat, and the like. On this note, I find the cause for the report and the actions taken by Sue absolutely ridiculous. You don't go waving your authority around as Security just because you can. The player was causing absolutely no harm by sitting on the cargo tug, and by ordering the player off it then verbally abusing them, you caused the situation. You then proceeded to use extremely harmful levels of force on the player because of the situation you had caused in the first place. There is no justification for any of this, in the slightest. Personally, if I was dealing with this case and due to the history attached, I'd issue a jobban from Security until the player was found to be able to deal with the role appropriately again.

I know that feeling, man. Nowadays, I rarely join a round to play, to observe to staff, because of the things you've described. I usually just sit in the lobby and play something else. What needs changed is the attitude of a group of players towards others, as this is a great cause for concern for me. Back in Auldrora, we didn't have these problems, because everyone was part of one big family, and made to feel like it. We invited people in, and it felt like one big clubhouse. Now, if I was a new player, I wouldn't be sticking around, because of the hostility shown often in OOC and the forums, as well as the interactions on the station. We need to change that outlook, and take it back to being a family.

Good to see you're willing to give it a shot! Looking back on your interactions with other people both ICly and OOCly, is there anything you would change? If so, why? -

A good timezone for our current needs, I believe. If you could change one thing about the server, what would it be and why? -

Got to say, your English has improved markedly since you first came on Aurora! If you felt you didn't quite grasp what someone was saying in adminhelps, what would you do to deal with this issue? -
A previous Aurora headmin, and a good person altogether from my experience. Looking back, if you could change anything you did during your time as headmin, what would it be, and why?

I interacted with you earlier today about an issue, in which you were quick to respond and assist, as well as change. If you were placed in my position in that interaction, would you have dealt with things differently? If yes, then how so? -

If you were in charge of the staff team on Aurora, from your experience what would you change about the way things are handled? -
Can I ask you to possibly elaborate on some of your answers, especially what you feel moderators do, and the questions related to this?

I'd be happy to support this, if you can answer one question for me. If you felt like you were being placed in a position where you were stressed and couldn't cope properly, how would you deal with it? -
A long-time member of the community, whose influence has been good, as well as being able to keep a level head. This has my support.
