[Inactive] Player Complaint - Metagrudge Issue
Chaznoodles replied to Chaznoodles's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
What This complaint was made because the complaint where we brought these issues up was closed without them being noted, in order to deal with them appropriately. I will expand the OP, when I get the chance. -
BYOND Key: Chaznoodles. Game ID: Multiple. Player Byond Key: Multiple. Staff involved: (This is if the complaint was ahelped and if it was handled by a staff member) Reason for complaint: Metagrudge issue. Approximate Date/Time: Multiple. http://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=6774 The metagrudge issue, perpetrators and related events are contained within this thread. The issue itself seemed to be mostly ignored by staff. Read the thread for details, I am not keen on rewriting what has already been written.

Yes, you do. You are racist in ICly and somewhat OOCly. If you contest to this, then I can say that you use the word 'Nigga' very often. Guess what? They mean the same thing. The N-word is not cool and we should never refer to one another using it. It does not matter whether it ends in an –a or an –er. I use nigga IC, and in OOC when I'm talking to someone I get on with and who understands it's chill. I'm unsure what bearing it has, you mentioning I say it IC, seeing as racism IC is perfectly acceptable, and it's not used in a racist manner. There is a big difference between -a and -er, which you don't seem to be picking up on. Stop playing political correctness gone wild. A joke, between two people subjected to the incidents we've outlined in this thread. Has no bearing on the matter at hand.

i have nothing else to say other than i am wondering when admins will wise up that you will never stop being shit If you're just going to be rude, please take yourself elsewhere, and stop attempting to twist what I'm saying through doctored quotes. you openly talk about blacks & arabs (or "niggers" as you call them) in a negative light in the lifeweb discord happened outside of aurora (so i guess it never happened) but both you dudes are pretty racist and use the word "nigger" more than an angry southerner during the 1800s You act like the Lifeweb discord isn't full of people taking the piss. I'm not racist, I just play a believable character. In and out-of-character, I've never used the word nigger. If you'd take the time to actually check your facts, you'd see that, rather than making statements with no grounding.

I believe you do too, so I don't believe you're one to talk. I remember you behaving exactly the same as every other Lifeweb player. Also, don't bother getting involved if you're just going to be racist (especially if you're completely wrong), that shit's uncalled for.

Regarding Bluesec (Feedback/Opinions)
Chaznoodles replied to Skull132's topic in General Announcements
I'm more than happy to icon some 'decent' redsec uniforms seeing as they're just getting trashed here. The majority of the opinions are 'redsec looks terrible, bluesec looks better'. Why don't we see what the bluesec uniforms and hardsuits look like recoloured with the red scheme first? -
Posting here to bump the thread. I'm not keen on letting the issues brought up herein be left without resolution.

I much prefer red. It's a nice nod to Star Trek, makes Security stand out as no other department has red clothing or hints, as well as not being some campy little psychology "oh blue is more passive" thing. -
Player Complaint - MrPedantic, YouJustGotOwened
Chaznoodles replied to a topic in Complaints Boards Archive
That bomb was the bomb I dismantled and put in my backpack. Later in the round, I threw it into the Security corridor, unarmed, because literally nobody had panicked the entire round and nobody even seemed to care that part of the station had been destroyed and that people had died. -
It's not the lore's fault so much as certain groups of players. Hugbox, in short, blunt terms, means a circlejerk. In less vulgar terms, a groupthink - " the desire for harmony or conformity in the group results in an irrational or dysfunctional decision-making outcome". You'll see humans cucking their own species in favour of the lesbian Tajaran mafia, or their fembot buggerbuddy. There needs to be more legitimate reasons backed up by lore for racism to take place to make this thinking less common, as there would be in a situation where your space is being invaded by wild catbeasts, giant bugs and savage liggers, as well as artificial creations that pretend to be people. In the current state, as previously said, this racism is currently restricted to "they took ma jerbs". Skrell are aight tho, squids are coo

[Expired] Unjobban Request - Chaznoodles
Chaznoodles replied to Chaznoodles's topic in Unban Requests Archive
I did rely on the rest of Security. As said, we knew comms was breached, so it would've alerted the hostage-takers to the situation. Any sort of suspicious activity from me - PDA tapping, whispers - would probably have resulted in me being shot. I believed Security would be competent enough to know when to start shooting, and they were. The approach made sense in the context of the situation. They were lying on the floor, there was blood underneath them, and they didn't say a word. Seemed dead to me. Possibly MAYA, unsure at this point. Whichever IPC usually plays Science roles. -
I'm curious why they've not voiced so on this thread. I can probably name the members of the administration that have voiced their displeasure, as they're most likely ones I'm not too pleased with myself. Anyways, as far as I'm aware, and as far as numerous staff members have said, they have absolutely no bearing on the loreteam or it's developers. That's why both myself and Delta have applied. We communicate well with each other and get on to a good degree, enough that we can give constructive criticism without either feeling down. It wouldn't be handled as a whole. It would be divided up into it's seperate parts, and interlinking lore written for each part. Frontier can be left mostly to it's own devices/player-submitted lore which can be read through and approved, because as you said, it's intentionally left vague. If both myself and Delta are both taken on as loredevs rather than it being left to one developer, referring back to us both applying for the same job and getting on with each other, we could easily take one of the remaining parts each and write for it, swapping any ideas and criticism back and forth to improve the quality of the written work. As we're two different people the conflicting goals/ideologies would probably come out in itself without having to be forced through abnormal writing. As a question, would Nanotrasen fall under human lore? The corporation itself is primarily human-run, as far as I'm aware, as well as "maintain(ing) a direct presence in over 75% of human states". It'd be pleasant to turn Nanotrasen back into the shady bad guy pretending to be good, as to give characters reason to mutiny/reason to work with antags rather than getting their valids, thereby promoting roleplay over gunplay. Hugbox is dumb, which is part of the reasons I've applied for this. I want to give humanity reasons that, with basing in lore, will actually give them reason to dislike the other races, other than "they took muh jerbs". This would lead to further IC conflict and roleplay based on racism, which seems to be a topic avoided by the majority in favour of completely ignoring the differences between races. Player conduct can go die smh I dindu nuffin :^)

No thanks, AIxamine would be terrible. "THE MAN INSIDE THAT ROOM IS HOLDING AN UNACTIVATED ENERGY SWORD."
-
Bugs and cats taking our jobs smh, liggers are aight That's the idea, to work in conjunction with the other lore developers to create a set of appropriate lore for humanity that would influence IC actions. For instance, Yoiko Ali, as I believe, is from Mars, and works this well into his characterisation. I want to make that sort of thing more common by making the lore more accessible. I also want to work with them to create roleplay situations and desirable conflict through lore. f u c k b u g s

Ckey/BYOND Username: Chaznoodles. Position Being Applied For (coder, mapper, spriter): LoreDev (Human) Past Experiences/Knowledge: Was a major part of Apollo lore writing, write scripts, worldbuilding for DnD/40K campaigns. Examples of Past Work: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BvuBuhRrFwtHfi7GgUsaAmOgh__CBLS4RNpWf8l8sTI/edit Preferred Mode of Communication (Skype, Steam, etc.): Discord/Steam. Chaznoodles on both. Additional Comments: Current lore that concerns humans is written by loredevs from other species, and is extremely minimal in concern to humanity itself, focusing only on their interaction with other races for the majority. I plan to make a more human-centric base for them, as an independent species, as well as fleshing out human planets and their history and culture. This would also involve expanding on current lore regarding humanity, whilst keeping it in a readable and entertaining format, because nobody wants to read irrelevant textwalls. also i a human therefore a prime candidate for human loredev give job

This attitude is unbecoming, and inappropriate. This is a player complaint, it is a public trial. and as such, is exactly the place to present evidence in your defense. Refusing to do so is both childish and self-destructive. Admins can only really consider what is posted here, and the logs of relevant rounds. If you're sitting on something that provides evidence of your character, provide it here, where it can be disputed and discussed, not in a private place where you can twist things to your favor. I'd like to ask, have IC resolutions to these issues been attempted? Has either been disciplined by CCIA? If I intended to be childish and self-destructive, I'd be flaming the hell out of this thread. I don't believe that's happening. I'm entitled to not post things if I do not want to post them. You say I can twist things to my favour in a private place; however if I post them here, the people that the issues are with will twist it in their favour, as usually happens. No, that has not happened. Seems bringing the entirety of the Security team to arrest us with no charges is a better solution. Is this going to be a repeat of the 'let me kys you' incident, where someone tries to take offence to something that is obviously laden with irony? Tbh fam if you're going to try and pull that kind of thing, you're only hurting yourself. Also, good to see you edit out any sort of context in between those images. We've never accused you of metafriending, only of metagrudge. It was slander, as I'd done nothing else. I never touched a single officer or resisted arrest, instead shaking the bartender who was being spamflashed up. I spent twenty in interrogation, then the HoS wanted me in for another twenty. And what does my forum account's age have to do with any of this? E) I understand, I'll keep those two points to those thread then. But regarding the fact that I label you as a "bad" person and a "trouble maker", this thread has been the only place where I placed these remarks. Where you placed the remarks, maybe. Where other people have placed them, no. I've been randomly searched for no reason other than 'Suspicious Conduct' for being Mason, I've had full searches of Cargo with a warrant after I'd been onstation for fifteen minutes. This sort of thing is 'trouble maker' stuff.

Not once has Barcia 'ran into sec' to break me out, so that's a completely unfounded accusation, which I'd prefer you keep to yourself instead of attempting to paint us as bad players. We also never complained about paying RP money for beer. We complained about the metagrudge Security stomping in and trying to arrest us all for chilling in the Bar. We also complained about people waving powerboners around for no reason.

Issue in the same round, where Raymond stood and completely ignored the cultist detective spamconverting Barcia right in front of his face, resulting in Barcia ending up in paincrit. He stood there for around 30-60 seconds, said what, then walked off. Issue in a previous round, where Raymond attempted to have Mason and Barcia HuT for misuse of comms (If I remember), resulting in the aforementioned EVA incident where Drake Bond (UnknownMurder) dislocated Mason's leg and stamped on his face. Raymond did nothing about this. Serveris looked into this, as well as SirCatnip looking into Drake Bond attacking Mason onboard the transfer shuttle in the same round. I'm sure there's more that I've overlooked. Cheers fam xoxoxoxo

For every action, there's a reaction, yes. At no time did I assault or resist arrest, I was only shaking someone up whom the cyborg kept flashing, which is neither of those. Good to see you check your accusations before pinning them on. During this round, you had me in Interrogation for twenty minutes, then wanted me in a cell for twenty more, for slander. See something wrong here? I'd like to direct you back to: Seems you're not so impartial, as you've screenshotted all of that. Good to see you've cherrypicked bits and pieces, leaving out the bits where I made absolutely no attempt to hurt anyone, nor to cause any IC trouble. Those present can testify to me not actually doing anything at this time. You can't force people to do things, maybe when it was realised that literally the entire bar and the people in it didn't want to pay for drinks, you should've realised that people were roleplaying happily in the bar and backed down. I saw character stories being expanded on in the Bar and people building IC friendships, which was promptly shut down when Security rolled in to crash the party, as always. I'm unsure where you're pulling this from, as I rarely post on the forums. Try not to make things up please. And I've said my point regarding the matter. In the last week or so, I've lost access to Security roles, and my whitelist, both points of which are up for debate in respective threads as I feel they were wrongly removed. If you could stop trying to label me as a bad person and a troublemaker OOCly, that'd be great. I'd also like to point out that, as soon as myself and Barcia's player bring up the issue of metagrudge to a staff member with evidence, this thread appears, made by the same people we made the metagrudge complaint against.
