  1. As said, if you want details on the issues I've mentioned, in which this character is involved, you're free to PM me here or on Discord.
  2. Thanks for the recommendation, but just because the character's nice to some people, doesn't mean they're nice to others.
  3. Accidentally hit refresh, deleted my entire reply, so I'll condense it. Both myself and Barcia's player have repeatedly adminhelped issues with a certain group of heads of staff/Security players, including yourself. It's hit a point where it's no longer an IC issue, but metagrudge. I'd like to pull this complaint up as one of said issues, as every incident we've had with this player so far has been a negative one, caused by them. We have both been recommended to make complaints on the forums repeatedly, but have not. You, as one of the players we've accused of metagrudge, as well as another player who has posted here, Raymond Hawkins, have created a ridiculous number of problems for us, broken regulations, and got away scot-free because it's always declared an IC issue. It's hit a point, again, where it's no longer an IC issue. I'm not willing to post the incidents related to metagrudge here, as the people involved will try and turn them on their head. If anyone wants to know about them, you're welcome to PM me here or on Discord. I'm tired of being excluded from rounds because certain people don't like what I play.
  4. I was one of the engineers this shift, and I'm on Delta's side here. The entirety of Medbay was vented as well as parts having been destroyed, Botany across the corridor was damaged, the Library was damaged, the entirety of the corridor was vented and a large chunk blown up, Mechbay was entirely gone, half of Robotics was gone, Science was vented as well as parts being destroyed. Instead of creating anti-synth sided roleplay for the rest of the playerbase, the antags greentexted and did virtually nothing else. This was not an enjoyable experience. I don't quite understand this. You're saying you accidentally set off a bomb. However, I was the first to reach the ruined section of the station, and I found a second bomb with a timer, merrily ticking away. That was not an accident. The ERT consisted of one person, who came in full combat gear, with no supplies at all to assist in rebuilding, so I'm unsure what purchase that has on this report. Nobody was aware that there were intruders on the station, because the clear majority of the crew never interacted with any of you, and I'm unsure if people even saw you.
  5. Going to point out that the clear majority of the icons listed are just recolours, or bits added/taken away from existing icons.
  6. Yes, because I'm going to make exceedingly vague hand signals in full view of the Mercs. None of the Security present, as far as I was aware, knew gutter, and I wasn't taking the chance of the Mercs knowing it. Would you rather I just sit back, watch Security blitz in and EVERYONE end up dead anyway? It's wholly applicable, because we all know that's what happens when hostage situations get dealt with normally, every time.
  7. That one was dead, as far as I was aware, which is why I entered in the first place, to 'take them to cloning'. Two hostages, one of whom was already dead, as far as I'm aware. Don't be a cunt, yo. Keep your passive-aggressiveness out.
  8. 1. Hostage was in the corner, away from the fighting and behind an object that could not be shot over. 2. Rubber bullets. 3. Hostage was still alive, the IPC. 4. Thankfully I made sure I wasn't fighting alone then, isn't it? 5. I looked in your hands. Neither of you had an EMP out.
  9. As a note, I had access to the Security channel for the entire incident, and not a single mention of a 'plan' was made over it. Security just congregated outside the RnD window waving weapons in a vaguely unthreatening way. We were already aware that Security comms were not secure, as someone had reported it earlier that they could hear us, so I refrained from contacting anyone on that.
  10. Find a gimmick as Malf AI, and stick to it. It makes the round more fun for everyone.
  11. They stopped aiming, turned away, so I took the opportunity. I wasn't being aimed at, why should it matter that the time between it was short? My backup consisted of a cyborg right outside the door, and the heavily armed Security forces outside the desk window, who were armed with laser weaponry, which can shoot through windows. I had all the backup I could wish for. I never took them on alone, as this testifies. You're welcome to check the logs for the lasers being shot at the mercs from the Security outside the window, and the cyborg taking them down with a stunbaton, alongside my pistol. Both died? Who else died? You'll need to elaborate. As far as I'm aware, no other crew member went into critical, let alone died, as a result of the incident. I played according to the roleplay I had been doing throughout the entire round. An undercover detective, using his undercover status to shut down a hostage situation before it devolved into a massacre.
  12. I'll admit, it was kinda funny from an OOC standpoint, however, this is not how an implanted Captain would act, example: Giving the AI that food law. Garn and me fully support Tish with the removal of your whitelist. I did not absolutely refuse. I refused to cater to a staff member attempting to force how they think characters should be played on me. I was forced into answering a yes/no question, which was downright ridiculous and terrible staffing, where one answer would have been a lie and the other would have resulted in the stripping of my whitelist. From this, it's clear that my head of staff whitelisting was removed for disagreeing with a staff member, when I had clear reasoning for doing so, rather than for the character itself. I did play a head of staff properly: I broke no rule, created roleplay and fun for others, roleplayed with antags, and kept the round enjoyable for all involved. Is that not the purpose of a head of staff, rather than to be the same-old same-old, abuse their authority, side with their metafriends and play the same thing in-and-out? The AI food law did not interfere with any other law, nor did it take precedence over them, nor did it cause any disruption to any player. If a situation arose, which it did, the AI was fully free - and did - drop that law to the back of it's mind to deal with it. It continued to do it's job. The law encouraged players to interact with each other whilst completing a task, which was my aim: promoting roleplay. This links back to the original character aim. I'm curious as to why the staff member in question decided to have you quote their words rather than posting directly. Are they unwilling to actually get involved and let me explain my reasonings to them?
  13. CCIA had had no prior interaction with this particular Captain, so I'm curious why they followed the word of one fax and wanted him permanently detained. At no time did they attempt to contact the Captain nor arrive onstation to view the behaviour in question. His hands are too pudgy to hold a pen right, so all he could write was gibberish. I interacted frequently with Security, bar the Warden who sat in the brig and the HoS, and they seemed to enjoy the interactions, so I'm unsure where you're pulling that from. The HoS pulled a gun on the Captain who was trying to resolve the hostage situation by giving the hostagetakers what they wanted - fifty thousand credits, for which the account details were in my pocket - before handing over his ID, I'd blame the HoS for not being able to prioritise in this situation. Unsure why admins were 'pissed'. If so, wouldn't personal feelings have came into dealing with this issue? "Ah, yes. Security are going to charge in there with guns, resulting in our hostages being dead. Time to hand over my ID before I can do something about it.". Again, prioritising. If you'd been monitoring radio communications, you would've heard repeatedly that I was willing to haul my bulk to wherever they were holding the hostages and give them the payment in exchange for them. The plan was to hand over my ID and sit at the kitchen desk eating after I'd resolved the hostage situation, but was unable to because the HoS wasn't into allowing the situation to be dealt with without violence, due to which I had to flee into maintenance, continue contacting the hostage takers, then die due to a punctured lung from when I went to Mining in the first place to give them the fifty thousand, but it had been vented. A model for what Aurora Station represents? What's that, in this case? That fun characters who create roleplay get stripped of whitelists after being issued ultimatums on the way characters should be played? That everyone has to conform to the same bland stick-in-the-mud Captainship? That originality is against the rules?
  14. Break the mold. Do something original. Traitor is your permit to create fun the way you want it,. Ask admins to spawn you collectable brainslug hats, drag people to your brainslug den, and monologue to them about how superior the brainslug is, before placing one on their head and bidding them to collect more for the slugmind. Frame the HoS for murder with a disguise kit and agent ID. Build a maze in space and teleport people there to complete it while you hunt them. The more fun you create for others, the more fun you'll have yourself.
  15. The original idea behind Chubs, drawing from the fact he had a heart attack at his birthday because a meal wasn't sent to him, was to be a bumbling fool. This kept well IC, and had people entertained. The reason for playing him as Captain was to cement him in people's minds as the sort of person you could have some shady underhand dealings with, ID upgrades in exchange for food, and suchlike, which was accomplished. I was planning to then bump him down to HoP and rein in the behaviour, seeing as he had made his mark on other characters and wouldn't be forgotten, making allies and enemies. I was never given the opportunity to explain this to the staff member in question, as they were too intent on having me answer a yes/no question, to which yes would place me entirely in their power and I'd be at fault if I played characters the way I wanted, and to which no meant me having my whitelist stripped because 'I wasn't listening to staff'. 'You can't rub out the chub' is relevant, he was one of the players who was in that round, and enjoyed the Chubs.
  16. BYOND Key: Chaznoodles. Staff BYOND Key: TishinaStalker. Game ID: byAJSf Reason for complaint: Overstepping bounds, issuing ultimatums, pushing on others how characters should be played. Removing the entirety of a head whitelist for one offence. Evidence/logs/etc: Log unrecoverable, due to accidentally overwriting it. Details can be found in the round in question. Additional remarks: I'd spent the entire round roleplaying properly in-character as Chubs. People who were observing were laughing away at him, having a good time. People I directly interacted with had a good roleplay experience in which we could bounce back and forth, especially being chased around the tables by Samara with a whitebeet whilst people looked on. When I organised the task of making a meal, it had people working and roleplaying together to do it, creating more fun for others. Everything about this character was designed to be fun for everyone around, and to break the "ex-military Security Officer" mold which every single Captain fits into. In the first place, I'm unsure why issues were a problem. When first contacted, they provided a list of situations from the round which they then asked me to explain: One of which didn't happen at all, another that was hugely misconstrued, and the other two which were explained in a manner which showed the roleplay that came from them. I feel that the admin in question overstepped their bounds, issuing ultimatums, overstepping their bounds, and pushing on me how character should be played. This is not in the spirit of roleplay. Roleplay is about creating fun for everyone involved, and I can say with confidence that everyone I was involved with throughout the round will come away with fun memories of the experience. If this is deemed to be a suitable complaint, I'd like the staff member in question dealt with in an appropriate manner, and the whitelist reinstated. If you require further details, I'm available here or on Discord.
  17. BYOND Key: Chaznoodles. Total Ban Length: One week. Banning staff member's Key: CakeIsOssim. Reason of Ban: Banned from Head of Security, Warden, Detective, Security Officer, Security Cadet - Failure to adhere to the most basic guidelines when it comes to hostage situations as security. Already have a note regarding this in the past. (Note regarding this in the past is: Which happened two months or so ago without an incident since, so unsure why it is relevant. If there are any questions about this, ask.) Reason for Appeal: Mercenary had been voted for. After two hours, and the first Mercenary team doing absolutely squat all, not interacting with the crew in any shape or form, a second team was called in. I'm unsure of the details, but I came to Science responding to a hostage situation, after Engineering had been sabotaged and bombed. When I rolled up, I saw a Scientist on the floor covered in blood, a pair of fully-armed and lethally-geared Mercenaries, and an IPC Scientist standing in the corner. I'd been disguised as an assistant all shift, playing detective, and nobody had picked up on this, so I decided to keep up the facade in an attempt to end the situation. A Security cyborg is loitering near RnD, so I follow it inside and chill on the opposite side of the window. I point out to the Mercenaries that I'm just a lowly unarmed assistant, they take no notice of me. I repeatedly point this out, and ask the cyborg to let me inside so I can take the body of the Scientist to Medbay for cloning. The cyborg opens the door and I stroll on in. One of the Mercs points his weapon at me, but lowers his aim and returns to talking to Security who are outside the window. The other mercenary is standing beside him, and neither seem to be taking notice of me, thinking I'm just a poor assistant. They were wrong. I pull my Colt, loaded with rubber rounds, and open fire. The cyborg blitzes in, seeming to have caught wind of what I was up to, and the Security outside open fire with lasers. The situation ends with both Mercs cuffed and disabled, and myself in a critical condition, with the IPC hostage safe. I eventually get PM'd, saying my actions were 'rambo/playing the hero' and issued a week jobban from all Security roles, for the reason stated above. I feel this ban has been placed wrongly, as the hostage-takers had already killed one hostage to my eyes, and had blown up Engineering, showing that a hostage situation wasn't going to end well and negotiations were pointless. I used the roleplay I had stuck with up to that point, disguised as an assistant, to take down a situation that would have ended in both sides taking massive casualties had I not stepped in, as is typical for Mercenary rounds. This allowed others to continue roleplaying without having their rounds ended. It also added a new facet into the round, one where Mason was a hero and his body would be treated as such, whereas others did not believe so. Also, I did adhere to the most basic rules when dealing with a hostage situation. We don't negotiate with terrorists. :^) But yeah, tl;dr: Roleplayed according to how I'd acted throughout the round, introduced new roleplay, stopped other players from having their rounds cut off. If this jobban is removed, I would also like the note corresponding with it to be removed, as the jobban would have been proven wrong.
  18. BYOND Key: Chaznoodles. Character Names: Woodrow Mason, Fay Thorley, Gus Chubs. Species you are applying to play: IPC. What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Gainsboro (#DCDCDC rgb(220,220,220)) Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: A drastic change of pace and outlook from playing humans, a chance to play the victimised rather than the victimiser. I always enjoyed playing synthetics, and an IPC is another opportunity to do just that. Alongside that, robots are pretty damn neat, yo. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Again, the idea of being the subjugated rather than the subjugator. It's an interesting thing to play off, alongside the relations to other species, such as the Glorsh Omega situation with the Skrell. Also, with the current Synthetics movement, alongside the antag competition, it's the perfect time to flesh out an IPC (pun intended). Character Name: Gainsboro. Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs What do you like about this character? Playing an anti-synth synth gives opportunity to create conflict, both with other synths and other races. Alongside this, it questions the point of IPCs being 'free' within a universe where they are created by others. How would you rate your role-playing ability? High. I allow antag role ample opportunity to create fun and roleplay for others, and do so as an antag. I also attempt to create roleplay as crew. Notes: fam
  19. Some ideas I was thinking about recently: E V E N T S V E N T S
  20. Chaznoodles

    Mice Bites

    No.
  21. The overpressure event involves random vents on the station being picked to spew forth a harmless concoction of chemicals in smoke. This can range from blood, to flour, to space drugs.
  22. It's a different complaint, yes, but I can support UM's statement. I'm another person he's acted like an asshole towards.
  23. For one, it'd be nice if the ban reason actually matched. Increased hostility in OOC? No hostility was shown at all, and I don't see what it's increasing from seeing as, before this week, the last time I was on was Christmas.
  24. That's because people were deliberately targeting him with toxicity and hatred. It wasn't someone getting offended over a joke. "Let me kys you lemon"
