  1. An exemplary roleplayer and a positive community member. This has my support.
  2. For the love of god, let this evolve through roleplay instead of just saying it. If people keep throwing drones to their death, then have the Hives respond in a way that will influence roleplay. It'll create a much more interesting situation than 'yes they now can'.
  3. If you're given conflicting orders at the same time, go with the one given by the most superior. If someone issues another order, complete your current task then move onto that new task. Bound Vaurca would not have the right, nor even the ability, to decline an order.
  4. I don't believe they had any prior contact long enough for thralling, though I could be wrong. I know that not a single person entered the Soilitary cell other than me once she was placed inside, and there was no time during her arrest to do so.
  5. I believe you sent some of them to me and we chuckled over them a bit. That's all the stuff you sent me HFC, if that is related. Alongside this, I'd also like to put forward a suspicion of Rin and another pink-haired male officer called something Johnson metafriending between rounds. I've heard that, over the course of previous vampire rounds, they have given blood to each other repeatedly. During the vampire round I took part in - the one which I got a complaint over - Johnson had not been in contact with Rin in solitary, as the Warden had been standing outside. Every single time I went up there, Johnson was standing in the Briefing Room door staring at the Warden and the cell. When we were all busy, he knocked the Warden out, released Rin and let her feed on him before she fled.
  6. I believe I've given you seven different reasons for the execution during this thread, all of them valid reasons from both a character and roleplay standpoint. Don't try and cut it down, because it puts across the point that you're not looking at it from the other view, one of the reasons for this complaint. Also included in the reasons for the complaint, staff conduct. Now knowing that you have a bias against me due to this, I'll be sure to take any further issues I have to a different staff member who doesn't display this attitude, and ask for a different staff member to take the case if you ever message me in-game. You understand Nanotrasen are the bad guys and trying to hide it, right? The one which causes the least trouble for the company. Covering up the death of a catbeast and cloning the ones it murdered is easier than explaining why one was permitted to murder the Captain, CE and another crewmember. This literally means nothing in context.
  7. I believe I fully justified my actions in the adminhelps, putting across that it was in the best interests of the company to deal with the murderer of the Captain, CE and an Engineer, who also had a Security Officer hostage. Alongside this, I'd also like to pull Sue's thread about Tajaran into the discussion, as the one whom I was executing was a Tajaran: To justify the character's actions, I had in mind that the catbeast was more trouble to the company alive than dead, as it would show that the revolutionary and terrorist tendencies stemming from the revolution/war were not over. Alongside this, the character harbours IC dislike of Tajaran due to happenings involving them in backstory. The character decided to remove the catbeast from the equation due to these, and Nanotrasen would cover it up due to it being a high-ranking official who murdered the Captain, CE and Engineer, as they would not want the news that Tajaran can get away with it getting out. You turned it into an issue by deliberately snubbing it rather than replying in a polite way befitting a member of staff. Show me in the rules where it states this. Show me in the lore where it states this. Roleplay is a fluid development, it's not confined by rules. It's about saying yes, not saying no. The roleplay itself escalated to this point as previously mentioned. The Head of Security is charged with maintaining the security of the station. Someone in a high-ranking position who murdered the Captain and CE, as previously stated, has shown themself to be a threat to the security of the station. Chancing an escape simply because 'oh no it's the right thing to do' isn't the character's thinking. The loyalty implant makes the character act in the best interests of the company, which is open to interpretation from the player of the implanted character. You can't say RP needs to go a certain way or else it's wrong, which is what you're saying as a staff member. ...Plus, doesn't straitjacketing a player and locking them in solitary for the entire round create even less of an opportunity for roleplay than what I did? Through my actions, I created a moral conflict within those present as to whether it was the right or wrong action to take, and whether their superior was in the right or wrong. Locking the player in solitary means no roleplay would come from it at all. They'd be left up there and ignored, and that's not the function of an antag. The function of an antagonist role is to create conflict and fun for the players during the round. Their hostage situation did that, their murders did that, and their execution did that.
  8. BYOND Key: Chaznoodles. Staff BYOND Key: TishinaStalker. Reason for complaint: Attitude unbecoming of a staff member, goading into making a complaint, one-sided view. Evidence/logs/etc: Catbeast murders three hostages. Catbeast gets arrested. I ask the HOp if I can take the mantle of Acting Captain for the duration of the emergency. He agrees. I walk up to catbeast, pointblank it repeatedly in the head, get arrested and dragged off to the Brig. Secondary Admin PM from-TishinaStalker: So, why exactly did you start firing at an already detained person with a lethal weapon? PM to-TishinaStalker: Three murders from a catbeast. The character wouldn't stand for that, with the criminal having murdered three station personnel, so decided to deal with the issue semi-permanently. This also stems from the trouble catbeasts have caused the character in the past, as shown by the "They've been nothing but bad trouble since their little revolution." Secondary Admin PM from-TishinaStalker: You understand you're loyalty implanted, right? You shouldn't be unloading and trying to summarily execute detained personnel if they're perfectly controlled. PM to-TishinaStalker: Loyalty implants make the person act in the best interests of Nanotrasen at the time. THe murder of three crewmembers, and possible others if they get free, is not in the best interests of Nanotrasen. There's been issues before with criminals escaping and committing murder aboard the station with Keelin in charge, and there was not going to be a repeat of that. Secondary Admin PM from-TishinaStalker: This is simply not permissible in the slightest. You don't have the right to execute personnel like that simply because somebody escaped once. Even less as a loyalty implanted head of staff. If you don't want them to escape, then you put them in solitary or in a straight jacket. You don't stroll over and try to blow their heads off. I will be issuing a warning for this. PM to-TishinaStalker: It was entirely fine in the situation, due to the escalation that had happened. Secondary Admin PM from-TishinaStalker: heads off if they're already detained.* Secondary Admin PM from-TishinaStalker: No, it was not. PM to-TishinaStalker: It wa and I'm happy to debate it, or are you so one-sided you won't let the character's reasoning for it come into it? PM to-TishinaStalker: The roleplay that led up to it was bloody, and the resolution was bloody. Secondary Admin PM from-TishinaStalker: You're free to debate it elsewhere. Loyalty implanted personnel do not stroll over and try to execute detained personnel out of the blue like that. Especially if they're contained in a controlled environment. PM to-TishinaStalker: I'll happily debate it in an admin complaint. Handcuffs don't stop roleplay. Secondary Admin PM from-TishinaStalker: Go ahead. PM to-TishinaStalker: Handcuffs don't bring all roleplay to an end, "Oh they're cuffed, everything's fine and dandy now." That's not how roleplay works, and if you think it does, you need to rethink your approach. You have been formally warned by an administrator. Click here to review and acknowledge them! Secondary Admin PM from-TishinaStalker: There is a big difference between loyalty implanted heads and an antagonist. You're on the wrong side of the fence if you want to kill detained personnel that are your responsibility. PM to-TishinaStalker: Loyalty implants don't turn into a robot. Secondary Admin PM from-TishinaStalker: Thought you were going to follow that up with something else. A loyalty implant doesn't turn you into a robot, yes, but it's nowhere near Nanotrasen's interests for a head of security to go "Welp, time to summarily execute detained personnel" because that is massive amounts of legal trouble. Not only for the head of security, but for Nanotrasen as well. If they get lose, then stop them. If they're already under control? You don't blow their heads off because you're implanted. If you can't play along with that, then I suggest a different role; one that doesn't bring a loyalty implant. Additional remarks: Has also shown the same stubborn attitude through private messages involving Botanist's prematurely shut down LoreDev application: As a long-time staff member in senior over a number of different servers, I'm entirely sure stubbornness and this sort of attitude doesn't pull. It's ridiculous when a staff member refuses to acknowledge the points the other side is making in favour of sticking to their own, and is not what being a staff member is about. As a side note, I'd like to note 'Only post if involved' as having been on the receiving end of this attitude or other abuse from the staff member in question, as sometimes little things aren't worth a complaint, but they add up to big things.
  9. In this case, in the position, I'd either run to the superior and ask how for orders on how to deal with it, or subdue the person in any manner and continue with your assigned task, seeing as they were blocking you from completing it. Obstacles for the task must be removed, through any means.
  10. Oooeeeooo solid lie again. Check your logs. The 5-6 baton bashes came before Rin was cuffed on the floor. The punches came after the baton bashes, a good minute or two after, when you got flashed so I punched her to death with three punches. Failure to Execute an Order: To ignore or disregard a superior's valid orders. Neglect of Duty: To fail to perform a job to a satisfactory standard. Two crimes you were guilty of, prior to the escape of Rin. If I had ordered your arrest for these, you wouldn't have been around to receive a baton to the leg, nor to screech unendingly for my arrest. I didn't though, because I thought you wouldn't be that much of a pain and didn't want to disrupt your round by throwing you in a cell for up to 25 minutes as well as demoting you. One was a catbeast so has a different immune system, the second was an officer who manifested symptoms including coughing and sneezing, the third was the one who had been sexually assaulted. They were handled with care and no symptoms manifested. It's perfectly logical to assume contact was the way this was transmitted. If it wasn't for the constant people who take the same attitude to you in regards to legitimate orders, then this wouldn't be an issue. However, when it comes to people constantly disregarding orders in favour of chasing me down for doing the job, whining over both public and security comms about 'how bad I am', and situations like that, it's usual that you'll get a reaction that you'll get pissy over and make a complaint. If you're the one disregarding orders, maybe it should've been you as the subject of the complaint, as your ceaseless whining and calls for arrest throughout the round disrupted my round to the point where I would've been happy to put a muzzle on you and leave you in the top solitary cell. However, I didn't, because I know better than that, and it was more fun seeing you salty. I'm not in the habit of getting involved in pointless bickering with people who refuse to look at things from a different viewpoint, or keep the view that 'I'm always right', so unless you have something constructive to put forward, then I'll be watching the thread.
  11. I'd say this would work best if you could not use the radio whilst stunned, weakened, or exhausted. That rules in all three stun types. Put this in conjunction to not being able to use the radio whilst cuffed, and you silence both fuckboy criminals who insist on screeching for their metafriend crewmembers to release them, and antag targets until they get the headset off.
  12. Just because I called you a fuckboy at the end doesn't disprove the rest of the post. Git gud, lad. Just because you got salty over failing to order around your superior, then failing to arrest said superior, doesn't give you the right to pull a fast one and make a complaint in an attempt to moderate the sodium in your system, and remove someone you dislike. :^)
  13. This sums it up. You do what you're told, to the death. Imagine ants or bees. They do their duty without any sort of care, defending the hive if ordered to, suchlike. When a queen abt dies, the ants usually continue carrying out the last 'command' they were given until they starve to death, or lose all sort of purpose and wander aimlessly. Take examples: A) Superior says, "Go into this airless room and stay there." As you know it's airless, and haven't been told not to, you put your internals on so you can live to serve your superior whilst inside. B) Superior says, "Go into this room and stay there without internals." Your superior has told you not to use internals, so you obey your superior, walk in, and happily suffocate to death. C) Superior says, "Do what the fuck you want, prawn." You stand around aimlessly until someone gives you something to do. You have no free will, you exist to serve. Imagine: Cyborgs, but without free thought.
  14. RIn was placed into Solitary as a result of performing nonconsensual sexual acts on an Engineer to which she admitted whilst I was dragging her to the Brig, so I slapped her into Solitary, as this would also involve charges of kidnapping and assault. Not someone you want running around the station. At no time was I metagaming as you so accuse. With the virus, the only person the character had been in close contact all shift was RIn, thereby that was the first thought that would pop into the character's head. It also gave the character reason to keep Rin locked in Solitary, as the character has a very strict policy towards sexual assault. Rin was released by Kyle Johnson, which someone has noticed a common theme with those two metafriending, during vampire round especially. We catch up with Rin in Tool Storage Maintenance where she repeatedly Mist Forms away from us (I was under the impression Mist Form was coded to only be useable when nobody could see them?). This marked RIn out as a threat to the character, as they would not be easily restrained. We caught them again in the Locker Room, where Keelin was the first one to respond. I pulled the energy pistol at which point Rin flashed from her eyes and stunned me through sunglasses, marking the character out as a higher threat. She picked up the pistol, switched it to lethal and unloaded it into the character's face, taking health to flashing red. The Detective unloads the revolver in her direction, forcing her into the washing machine area where we corner her. As nobody, you especially, are doing anything to stun her, I pull my telebaton and smash her to the floor, breaking her leg in the process. You proceed to whine about this and cuff her. She does the eyeflash again, knocking both nearby officers to the floor. As the nearest Security member standing, I respond fast, stalk over and kick her in the head three to five times, in order to stop her disappearing again and escaping in order to attempt murder again. She deathgasps and dies. Care to note, in your logs this is shown to be a lie, as Rin was only cuffed after I slapped her to the floor, as mentioned by Meow. I repeatedly called for Medical to attend with medical supplies to stabilise Rin during the period before the kicking. After the kicking, I ask them to bring a bodybag and meds for me. You proceed to corner me in the washing machine area, and due to you pulling the cuffer Rin I was unable to move you out the way to reach the Doctor standing at the table with medical supplies which the character knows would stop the pain from his face and stabiise him. I ask you repeatedly to move at which point you repeat the same "You're under arrest for manslaughter". At this point I realised you weren't going to move, so I drew my telebaton and whacked you one, dropping you to the floor so I could move to the Doctor and receive treatment. You stand and start whining and bitching, repeating your mantra. I look at myself and decide to go wash, so head off to the washroom, you following me and repeating yourself like a broken record all the way. I wash up and the Captain asks me to meet him at the Bridge which I acknowledge. I come out of the bathroom and you continue stalking me with your mantra. I say I have to attend a meeting. You draw your taser and point it at me. I radio this in which causes you to fire. The nearby forensitech-cum-officer drops you with a well-placed baton, I cuff you, and you're taken away. Over the course of your stalking of me, the Captain repeatedly ordered you to desist, which you ignored. On the fuckboy note, you were the only one I called a fuckboy, due to your one-track mind of 'must arrest', and your grudging displayed against me. To be honest, you deserved the title in more than one way, for you were both fucking retarded and a complete cockmuppet in your actions. You attempted to arrest a man on the verge of death, continued whining about it, then failed to do so when you actually plucked up the courage to do it. I'd politely ask for this complaint to be closed before it degenerates into fuckboy being even saltier, and bringing in Jer'Koff the catbeast. You try dealing with a department in which you've got fuckboy Price whining about arresting you constantly, Jer'Koff the catbeast trying to incite a friendly gecko lizard to violence, and Rin and Johnson doing whatever metafriends do. When two staff members repeatedly ignore orders there's a problem on my hands, which I could unfortunately not deal with due to being stuck in Medbay for half an hour due to Rin hitting me with Grave Fever, otherwise both fuckboy and Jer'Koff would've been out of Security faster than a catbeast can complain.
  15. Good suggestion, remove
  16. Leave it as is.
  17. Enough chances. Player doesn't seem to be willing to roleplay, preferring to play-to-win. Slap a secban on them until they adjust their playstyle to create fun for all involved.
  18. Game not user friendly, make everything less work pls
  19. This'll just turn into a circlejerk. No.
  20. Ss13 is a mockery of 70/80s sci fi, taking cues from Star Trek and other shows. What Aurora did was modify/mutilate this until it's no longer recognisable as anything like this.
  21. How would you assist in building the IPC lore? How would you work your lore changes into the current lore? If you felt another race was being made to be 'better' than the others in terms of characteristics, would you say this if you knew others would complain?
  22. Keelin got -7 on Gollee's test. Wowsers. Score Breakdown Mirror, Mirror: Do I Know This Guy? 3 Beware the Monks of Cool: He's The Anti-Cool 0 'Tis Your Destiny: I'm Destined For What? 6 Oh, the Trauma: Healthy as a Horse 0 Momma Loves Me Best: Momma HATES Him! 0 Total: 9
  23. I was the HoS-ling during this round. I can testify to Rin and Stephanie being absolutely terrible in every single aspect as Security. Actually no proof at all of me being a changeling until I went ham on the Warden and Detective near the round end :^)
  24. ...But it is relevant, because it's exosuit weaponry we're talking about, which relies on mech computers.
