  2. Oh boy, thats one angry face. Are you gonna Jack my shit up? Or better yet, are you gonna give me The boot?
  3. You think all Jacks look alike? Wow. Fowl doesn't know Jack

  6. There isn't a lot to like about the race, but there isn't a lot to dislike either. I guess the only reason I don't play is because of that, and there are others races and characters I can play that I do like. The thing I dislike the most about Skrell is how the talk. Unlike where you have to hold down the S or R key a few seconds longer, you have to replace the S sounds with SH, and I often have to go back and proof read it twice before actually talking.
  7. Gollee, our previous headmin actually dealt with Ffrances with this exact thing, and apparently they said that on-topic OOC posts should be allowed in IR reports.
  8. The captain was an ass, he did threaten to have me brigged and demoted for peacefully disagreeing with the test, and both Aquila and the captain sent a fax to Central that made it seem like I was actively going out of my way to sabotage their test. At least five people opposed doing to test, the only security personnel on the station at the time, the detective, all of medical, one MD and one EMT, the botanist, and maybe the roboticist. I say maybe because I can't tell if they didn't or not, they mostly seemed peeved they could get their work done after the test. No matter if they did or not, thats over half the station at the time who didn't want to have the test be done either.
  9. If the golden rule was to always say yes, why would we have security or command during extended rounds? What I do and how my characters act in game also have no baring on how good Id be as a forum moderator.
  10. The RD is Unathi, gladiator combat is literally a sport to them, and now that I think about it, its literally a sport that is played around the universe, its mentioned in the news casters. The arena was pitched as a social experiment, and security and medical were both on hand to stop the fight when it was needed, precautions were taken, and failing even if social experiment was something to make it sound nice, it would also be a good way for employees to blow off steam in a controlled, reportedly safe way. However, the atmos test put everyone single person on station, even the untrained, in hardsuits, meaning it would be impossible for medical to treat pretty much anything. It was also pointed out by at least two people this is something they could and should have tested while the station wasn't occupied by an active work force.
  11. Tell him Im always ashamed of myself.
  12. Im sorry my character did not agree with a crazy experiment that he thought would, and did, impair the productivity of the station, and could, and did, put people's lives at risk. I am also sorry that I was forced into a situation I found unfun, was berated in character, and spent nearly the entire round on the science outpost with three people as a result, because Nanda didn't follow a stipulation that the head admin of the server said they should have followed before doing the experiment on the server. Im going to assume you mean what happened with Techno about how I only argue when I feel victimized. If you looked into some, you'd see that my biggest issue with Techno was that he had a long standing record of breaking the same rules repeatedly, and was never punished.
  13. So he won't be doing... Jack?
  14. The last time this was suggested, Skull actually took a shine to it. If I remember correctly, he even made a load out sheet for what Blueshields would use, when, and how. But then the the thread died, for some reason.
  15. You may have access to the entire station, but you also have steep responsibilities. Its not bad on extended round, but since thats pretty rare, you'll more than likely be caught up dealing with security issues remotely, or someone trying to murderface you. Even if not, a lot of the time you're acting as a faceless bureaucrat for paperwork a lot of the time too, being more of a stamp and a signature on paper than a person.
  16. I don't really have any tips, Ive never found it particularly hard to play more than one character. The only time I remember have any trouble was when I first got my Tajaran whitelist, and I went back forth playing both human and Tajaran characters on the same day, so Id roll my R's as a human, and not roll them as a Tajaran. So, my tip is, only play one character a day, or if you don't feel like, or can't, only play as one race a day, so you don't screw up how they talk, which Ill admit I still do from time to time.
  17. I like these. Gives more tricks and treats for those who like to do both peaceful, violent and jokey antags.
  18. I don't mean to rude by saying this, but some of Killer's might hurt more than help. In the case of the geneticist example he gave, geneticists are very, very stigmatized. If you poison yourself while working, people usually write you off as a chucklefuck, treat you and then throw you back, and Ive seen people demoted for testing on themselves. The engineering one is pretty solid, and usually leads to some awesome, cool creations. Back when I played engineering, it was so fun to build in the abandoned rooms, and it was really cool getting other people involved in engineering's strip club Gentlemen's Club. The security one is... Eeeehhh. People don't usually like security. Security is mostly filled with hard asses, ass holes, other various types of asses, and from my experience, security characters are usually hard to approach, for the same reason as what I said above for Geneticists. -ALSO-, jobs to avoid if you want to be social more than anything else. Virologist Xenobio Xenoarch Captain Head of Security
  19. Ill admit, this is a problem for new comers coming in, a lot of people here are long standing members, and have well established character with established stories and friends, enemies, stuff like that. As such, they might be more inclined to RP with people they already know, stories they're continuing. My advice is you just need to try and be more outgoing, don't force yourself on people, but just because people are talking to someone, or doing something else, don't let that stop you from trying to slip in. You may also want to try some of the more social jobs on the station, like cargo work, or medical, where you see lots of people every round, and plenty of downtime in some cases, and even if you don't have the down time, you have to work closely with others anyway.
  20. What I mean is, how does cloning check if you can clone someone? Id assume the only criteria is that their body needs to be dead, but what happens when their body is gone, like the player was changed into something else, and was scanned earlier that shift? Will they be able to be cloned because their body is "dead," and if so, what happens to the clone and the player's new body, and if not, how does it work?
  21. Next time you do this, I suggest you follow what Skull says, and make sure all of command agrees, and don't lie to DO's and not mention that not all of command agrees when seeking approval from Central
  22. Reporting Personnel: Shinjlekh Ukhaan Rank of Reporting Personnel: Research Director Personnel Involved: Issac Taylor, Captain. Aquila, CE. Samuel Czechi, MD. Clark Hunt, EMT. The entirety of NSS Aurora at the time. Time of Incident: Throughout the entire shift Real time: 20:33 26.NOV.2015 Location of Incident: Entirety of the NSS Aurora. Nature of Incident: [X]Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [X]Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault [X]Misconduct []Other _____ Overview of the Incident: Aqula, the IPC Chief Engineer of the station wanted to do a test of the NSS Auora's atmospheric disposal loop, venting nearly all of the station. This was foolishly approved by captain Issac Taylor, ever thought I adamantly opposed the test, arguing that we should not to them both over the command channel. They then sent a message to Central asking for the test to be approved. I managed to get this fax, and will insert a copy with this report. In short though, they refused to note that I did not agree with this test, nor did the most of the station, save for two people beside themselves. While I was trying to convince them this would harm productivity and put people in danger, captain Issac Taylor went out of his way to personally insult me, and threaten have me fired from my position in Nanotrasen fro disagreeing with them. Partway the test, the IPC had a malfunction, and started venting areas such as medbay, which were meant to be protected. When I mentioned that I was right that the test was a danger, Issac Taylor said he would report me for insubordination, threatening my job as a whole. After the malfunctioning IPC was brought under control and no longer a danger, I calmly ask Issac Taylor to give me the name of DO that approved the test. When I did, he simply told me that I should be happy that he did not fire me, and adamantly refused to give me the information. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Captain and Chief Engineer are the subject of this complaint. Additional notes: Facility: NSS Aurora Date: 26 Nov, 2457 Index: 001 This form permits the grant of executive permission to conduct the denoted action by the denoted employee of the NanoTrasen Civilian Branch of Operation. Employee: Aquila Action: Station-wide atmospherics systems test Reason: Aquila proposes to seal arrivals and dorms, ensuring the safety of those sleeping, and those arriving both by shuttle and cryogenic revivial. Then she wishes to distribute EVA suits to all the crew - only a handful of us. Then atmospherics will be drained from the entire station - save the arrivals shuttle and the dorms, to test how much our system can truly take, if it needed to. The crew is panicking, and the RD is being obstentatious about this, and they are trying to prevent this test. It would be appreciated if you could sign off on this so we could get the testing underway, if you approve of such. Thank you! Supervising Head of Staff:Aquila -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This paper has been stamped with the captain's rubber stamp.
  23. What the hell just happened? Every SS13 server just went down all at once, anyone else notice that?
